Holiday Inn Express Brisbane Central

The whole stay was pleasant, felt so relaxed like what I experienced in Melbourne Holiday Inn Express. The location is a bit of a minus though as it is not close to central station and it's uphill. Despite the location, the facilities, breakfast and the room is good and pleasant. Also, I would like to raise a compliment to Jack (I think that is his name) upon check out, he is friendly and nice, very efficient as well. He helped me in tagging my bags which I was not expected, as last time in Melbourne I would need to tag the bags myself. However, during check-in, the middle-easy guy with black glasses with not polite and welcoming at all, which I was frustrated and a huge disappointment during my stay. He did not wear a name tag so I did not know his name. He did check my ID and last name, however, he did not possess basic hospitality during the whole check-in process. Even though I know they need to hold one dollar in my credit card as a pre-authorization, but he never said a word on what he is doing with my card. Until he passed me the key without any words, I looked at him, he said, "Yeah, it's all done". I was not even guided through all the details, such as check-out time and internet settings, which is so basic as a reception. Until I asked him where to visit around as it was my first time visiting Brisbane. He showed me a map of the city and he introduced me the Botanic Garden first, which was appreciated, but he then tell me to go to a Casino, which was a bit shock to me. I think he might need to start introducing other tourists destinations instead of a Casino.

The hotel is within 10-15 minutes walk to the CBD area, and 6 minutes walk to the Woolworths supermarket, which we found very convenient. The car parking cost $25 per night with limited in and out, for close to CBD I think that’s quite a reasonable pricing. We stayed for 5 nights and extended our stay for another 2 nights there after, the only time they did not clean the room is on Sunday cuz we woke up too late and the cleaning service already went home. Other than that they always keep our room very clean, which we really appreciate. I am a big tea drinker and they always refill my tea :) we love the complimentary buffet style breakfast (western style with fruits, yogurt, toast, croissants, muffins, eggs, sausages, and bacon, coffee, tea, cereals) although we always miss it because they open at 7 am on weekends and 6:30 am on weekdays and we have to leave around 6:40 am most of our stay except the last 3 days. However I love their service, the hotel manager, Dilansh is amazing, during my stay the washing machine and dryer were both under maintenance and she were able to point out where I can do my laundry (10 mins walk) and she were able to refund my future stay because I decided to find another place with the laundry service. Everyone very helpful including the restaurant staff who gave me a take away box for us to take the fruit for breakfast even when it wasn’t 7am yet. I am very grateful for that. The TV in the hotel support chrome cast so you can watch anything from your phone in the big screen. They have a small fitness room and laundry room.

Very pleased with our stay for two nights with both service & location. I had arrived earlier than the check-in time to drop off luggage, they had room available & checked me in right away before I left to pick up my friend. They also accommodated our need for late check out (if join as member with the hotel group). The staff were friendly and helpful (including the catering staff), hotel location was excellent. Our twin-bed room was a reasonable size compared with some others in the heart of Brisbane. Its also clean and comfy with both soft and firm pillows. Breakfast was basic but substantial & good quality as buffet style, it was fantastic. Overall, we had a great stay and already told my friends & relatives about this hotel if anyone wants to visit Brisbane. Definitely come again when my friend/s come for their annually visit to Brisbane.

Nice hotel. The location is perfect 👌 Near to Central at 5 min walk. You can visit the city bu foot. There is a Woolworth not far. The room is big, the bathroom is perfect with soap, shampoo and bodycream.. The cleaning was made everyday and it was very clean. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is good with choice. I highly recommande !

Good location close to CBD. Fitness Centre was clean and machines all worked, a little small but OK. Breakfast was sufficient and had good options. Nice team and service was polite and friendly.

We stayed here to visit families in Brisbane. Lovely staff, clean environment, breakfast included. The hotel is just a short 10-min walk to the CBD, perfect for Boxing Day shopping.
