The Paradise Inn

The location of this property is the main advantage. Everything else is pretty basic. Upon checking in my room key wouldn't work and needed to be replaced. I was awakened during the night many times by loud guests and my sleep was also interrupted by a lot of mosquitoes even though all of the windows were closed. This Inn is good for a 1-nighter but nothing beyond that. Location is ideal as you can walk to the fast food outlets and large supermarkets but comfort is lacking.

The hotel is very basic, hardly a three star but I liked the convenience and proximity to eating places though most are fast foods like KFC, Burger King. There is a Carrefour supermarket across the street. The bus stops are on opposite sides of the road that can take you to Maho, Marigot and pretty much anywhere you want. The first two receptionists, I met at the hotel were not friendly. A guest arrives and there's no greeting at all. The only two that were more friendly and easy to talk to with great information were Tamia and Christina.

Booked a Studio with a stove but none was in the room only a microwave, coffee maker that needed to be thrown out was rusty. Bad part is I called the propwrty directly before I booked to verify what was in the room base on pictures. It seems staff doesn't know the difference between kitchen and kitchenette. Getting an attitude for just asking questions. That wasn't even the bad part, I checked in and as usual I immediately searched the bedding huge stain on sheets told front desk housekeeping came talking about " its not dirty it's just stained" then don't put it on. Dishes need to be upgraded no sink which means you wash the dishes in the bathroom sink if you use any. Tiles are stained. The lounge chair had droppings in it as well. Really a turn off from pictures posted here. I won't recommend there to an animal mot user friendly at all.

A plus fir convenience. Everything you n Ed is in walking distance and if its a long distance errand, the bus stop is literally across the street.

We chose Paradise Inn since we were getting in late and our timeshare condo wouldn't be available until the next day. We wanted a location away from the airport and ****** noise but close to our next property. Paradise was comfortable and clean. Bed, linens, and towels were all new. Don't you just love fluffy new towels? Shower had hot water on demand, so plenty for a nice hot shower after a very long day of travel. It's our first time on St Maarten so didn't realize our iphone maps would not work on the island. This property was a bit hard to find, so make sure to get driving directions before you arrive. There are fast food places within a block and the market is directly across the street. Best of all were the delightful employees. I can't tell you our mood after airplane mechanical issues, delayed flights, rush hour traffic getting out of the airport and trying to find the hotel after dark without our iphone maps (Google maps works on St Maarten). Our resourceful and super friendly check in lady helped guide us directly to the hotel drive way and waited outside to welcome us in. She was so sweet and understanding. What a delight! She had us checked in within minutes, helped us with parking, let us know about the gated property with security. If you are looking for a 5 star resort, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you are looking for an island friendly, clean and comfy Caribbean hideaway, you'll find it at the Paradise Inn.

The hotel is wonderfullly tucked away and brilliantly represents St Maarten. The staff are wonderful and price wise is great value for money
