Iberotel Palace - Adults Only 16+

Brilliant service from talented multi-lingual staff. Clean beach with all areas including pools and grounds well maintained. Food and drink more than plentiful.

This is the best resort I have ever stayed in. All the staff go above and beyond to meet all your needs. The resort is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Most staff can speak English and the ones that can't still help regardless. There is a lot of food choice, not the same everyday. The quality of the food and the care they take in presenting shows how much effort has been put into making your experience the best possible. Stayed in a Superior Queen room with a garden view, the room was very spacious and very comfortable. The garden and all areas around the resort are beautifully maintained. Plenty of activites going on daily, there is something for everyone. Staff don't expect a tip but when given they accept humbily. You receive the same attention whether you tip or not. I would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for some winter sun and a place to relax and re-charge.

A fantastic hotel with superb staff and food. Nothing is any trouble. It's handy to have a pen & a photograph of your passports on your phone/tablet, the details are needed to complete the Egypt landing cards, these are usually handed out on the flight an hour or so before landing. No visa charge is payable unless your travelling out of Sharm or staying more than 15 days! USA dollars are best value for Visas because its £25, $25 or €25. We used Sharm Travel Club private transfers £20 return, they are even cheaper if booked via *********** The food is plentiful and of a variety that you won't struggle to find something you like, Salads, Veg food, and sound, burgers, meats, all served piping hot and cooked as you like by the many chefs. Bottled water is replenished daily in your room, along with quality tea bags and Nescafe coffee satchets. There is a kettle in the room and hairdryer affixed to the wall in the bathroom. There is a free lockable safe in your wardrobe. Along with a limited amount of hangers, I usually take 6 more hangers. USA $1 notes are best for tips as coins are accepted but are a pain for the staff to exchange. The room TV is good with a few English channels and the WiFi is good throughout. The main bar closes at midnight and the nightly entertainment finishes around 11pm so there is no problem with noise, the late pub bar down by the beach is open til around 1am and I think aloholic drinks are chargeable after midnight. Special thank you to Mr Ali the hotel manager & the immaculate Mr Yousef guest relations who are always about to help with anything. Mr Osama, Mr Sayed & Mr Sameh who run the bars and restaurants, they ensure your plates are full and your glass never empty. The local Stella draft beer is fine as are the local Gin and other spirits, nothing to stop you buying a bottle of your favourite tipple at duty free and have it on hand in your room if needed to add abit more flavour! Mr Ahmed runs the fabulous reception team and if you need anything from local knowledge or advice they can assist with taxis ect, thanks Mr Farouk. Lastly our room was kept tip top by Mr Mohammed, fun daily towel shapes and all amenities replenished without fuss and always a smile. Thank you everyone and see you all again soon. Stay safe.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in! Every member of staff we met were friendly and professional, especially the lovely gentleman looking after the sun beds on the beach, who looked after me whilst I was poorly. I visited the pharmacy 3 times and received several different medicines at a very reasonable cost. Unfortunately I didn’t eat or drink much, due to illness, throughout our stay, however noticed the white wine was never kept in a fridge and was either served warm or with ice! - hopefully this will be remedied when we return in 3 weeks. Also the vegetarian choice s were very limited and were often labelled incorrectly! We loved our holiday in this beautiful hotel and can’t wait for our return trip.

We stayed here for our 2nd wedding Anniversary and wow! Lovely hotel, clean and lovely food and staff are so friendly and amazing especially The 3 AMAZING beach bar staff - Tariek, Ahmed and mahammod afaid (sorry for poor spelling) were just out of this world, friendly, funny, kind, helpful. The hotel is so lucky to have these 3! I was unwell and the staff were amazing and got a Dr to me in 30 mins and sorted my health, so helpful and attentive, beach was 40 steps away from room and pool was 10 steps away, simply perfect, trip to pyramids was easy to arrange via hotel and TUI. Would defo go back and would recommend. Adults only so was perfect for us!

Rooms are cleaned daily and to a high standard. The room guy really made an effort with my family with some great towel art (especially the "cake" he made to mark my birthday). Mohammed at the pool bar is such a pleasant and friendly young man and always has a smile on his face. You will never wait long for your drinks. Sharaf (apologies if I have the name slightly wrong but he wears glasses if that helps) on the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant. If you need any medication or advice, please don't hesitate to use the onsite pharmacy as his prices are extremely fair. There is a small gym that has enough to keep you ticking over and is free of charge and open 24hrs. If you enjoy snorkeling, there are a couple of small reefs around the areas where the swimming area buoys are but not great. You can boom the resorts shuttle boat to take you 5 mins away to a great area that is teeming with fish in water no deeper than your knees. If mobility is an issue then this may be tricky for you. To the left hand side of the beach, there are 2 jetties. Walk out to the furthest one to the left to see the resident box fish and lionfish amongst many others without getting wet. This is best to visit early morning when water visibility is much better. Take a stroll to the right of the beach early mornings to see whole shoals of fish just basking in the sun, creating massive shadows due to their numbers.

We have recently returned from our 12th visit, secure in the knowledge that we are guaranteed the warmest of welcomes from the friendliest staff, where nothing is too much trouble. Many of the long serving staff feel like family, and it is always a delight to catch up with them. We befriended a few first-time visitors during our stay who agreed that the Palace has a special ambience and they would not hesitate to return. The animation team, which seem to change team members with each visit were an enthusiastic bunch of six, who kept us entertained throughout the day and evening without being intrusive, and we were happy to join in a lot of activities in between relaxing. The new bar area and the updated Ali Baba restaurant is very impressive, and very popular. The booking system via the QR code works very well. As in a previous review, there are some suggestions I could offer, an example would be to vary the evening entertainment, perhaps a quiz on the terrace earlier around 20.00 rather than leave it until 22.30 in the Borsalino - as it would appear that the events in the pub are poorly attended. Also possibly reinstate the reservation of sunbeds at the pool and the beach should they not be occupied for over 2-3 hours, this would give people sufficient time to go and eat breakfast/lunch, or take the boat to the reef for a snorkel. Finally, please try your best to get the air conditioning fixed in the bar before the real hot weather kicks in (I guess you are waiting on a component), most guests enjoy sitting outside, but when no space is available the only other option is to sit in reception, particularly if you wish to chat and not have to shout over the regular singers. This is not a problem of course as it would seem that the bar service extends to this area, but we did feel sorry for the bar staff working so hard in the overheated bar. Keep doing what you are doing Iberotel Palace and you are guaranteed many return guests.

This was our second visit to this hotel in 7 months. I left a 5 star review last time as we had a fantastic experience. I've given 3 stars this time for the following reasons: 1. Food quality wasn't great, "hot" food was often cold, the choice was a bizarre mixture, stodgy and relatively tasteless. 2. Our room on the edge of the complex was noisy due to a neighbouring hotel playing music until after midnight, and then the local mosque started announcements for prayers at 4.30am. I had emailed the hotel beforehand to request the same room we had stayed in last year, but to no avail. They acknowledged the email but didn't do anything. 3. The service from staff was inconsistent, one minute they can't do enough for you, the next you get completely ignored. This was especially true in the bar and restaurant areas. A couple of positives worth mentioning; it was my wife's birthday while we were there, and lovely chocolate cake and card was brought to our room. The free boat to the coral reef for snorkeling is great, and the boat driver was as ever fantastic. There was an increased security presence at the hotel ( and the resort, hotels, and especially in Cairo and the Pyramids) but the guards at the hotel were excellent, one chap helped my use the hotel cash machine to convert my British pounds to Egyptian. In summary the hotel was fine, but the indifferent service, poor food, and noisy room let it down.
