Very nice hotel with very helpful staff, clean and massive rooms. Loved the aesthetics and direct access to the Nelson Mandela and Santon City Malls which was ideal. Also close to the food courts in Nelson Mandela Mall which are Halaal and 1 min from the elevator which is ideal especially with family.

Muy desilusionado después de nuestra estancia en el Hotel DaVinci. Estaba muy aguardando esta estancia porque no he estado en este hotel antes y había estado en mi lista, el inicio de la visita fue muy largo, lo que no me molestó inicialmente, pero acababa siendo un factor complicador después de todo lo demás, Nos habían reservado en línea y nos llevó casi una hora para que nos lleguáramos a la habitación y damos nuestra clave, usamos esta vez para mirar alrededor. Cuando finalmente llegamos a nuestra habitación, dejamos todo y fuimos al centro comercial y luego cenamos, volvimos relativamente tarde y sólo cuando volvimos notamos que la cama era 2 camas solteras empujadas juntos, No obstante, hemos reservado y pagado por una habitación deluxe, sin necesidad de decir que pasé la noche cayendo por las 2 camas mientras trataba de cuddle mi dama, por lo que no me quedé mucho sueño para decir lo menos. Cuando nos levantamos por la mañana, necesitaba un café para despertarme después de la noche que tenía y Lo y mira, la máquina de café no funcionaba! En este punto puede imaginar la frustración... así que nos viste y nos bajábamos para el desayuno, el proceso de simplemente conseguir un café duró cerca de 40 minutos, dejamos que la comida llegase! ¡Nos acabamos de levantar y dejar porque teníamos planes para el día y no esperamos más de una hora para que nuestro desayuno llegara! During our recent stay at the hotel, my expectations were unfortunately not met, largely due to what I found to be significant oversights and, at times, concerning behavior from some members of the hotel staff. As someone who has had the privilege of traveling to over 76 countries and has been a guest at numerous top-tier hotels worldwide, I believe I have a comprehensive understanding of the standards that one should anticipate from establishments that pride themselves on excellence in hospitality. The experiences that stood out during my stay were not in line with these standards. From the onset, the reception was less than warm. While I understand that everyone can have an off day, in the hospitality industry, it's paramount to ensure that guests feel welcomed and valued. Regrettably, this was not the impression I received. Further, there were several operational glitches that marred the experience. For instance, our room service orders were either delayed significantly or mixed up on more than one occasion. Additionally, basic amenities that one would expect to be replenished daily, such as toiletries and towels, were often overlooked. These might seem like minor issues in isolation, but when combined, they paint a picture of a system that is not functioning as seamlessly as it should be. Moreover, during our interactions with the hotel staff, there were instances where their behavior left a lot to be desired. Professionalism, in my opinion, extends beyond just performing one's job duties—it encompasses how one communicates, addresses concerns, and ensures that guests are having the best possible experience. On several occasions, when we raised concerns or made requests, the responses we received were either dismissive or lacked the necessary urgency. This was not only surprising but also disheartening, considering the reputation of the hotel. Furthermore, the general ambiance of the hotel did not resonate with the relaxing and refreshing experience one would expect. Whether it was the noise levels in the common areas, the upkeep of the facilities, or the lack of attention to detail in areas such as dining or leisure activities, the overall feel was that of a place that was not operating at its peak potential. Now, I do not write this review with the intention to disparage but to provide feedback that could be constructive. The foundation of the hospitality industry is built on the experiences and feedback of its patrons. While the physical aesthetics of a hotel play a role in its appeal, it's the intangibles—like service quality, staff behavior, and operational efficiency—that truly define a guest's stay. Given my extensive travels and experiences, I found the current state of affairs at this hotel to be notably different from the premier service I've grown accustomed to at other renowned establishments. The Leonardo In a class of its own .. We spent four nights at The Leonardo in a two bedroom grand suite. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival to be greeted by warm friendly staff and a beautiful reception area and lounge. The art work throughout the property is stunning and adds to the general feeling of being in a high end establishment. There was initially some mix up with our booking but Penelope was very helpful and made sure that we were able to check in without any delay. After our Moet&Chandon welcome drink we were taken to our well appointed suite which had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The Al La Carte breakfast was very high quality (although slow to arrive at times) and had enough choice for everyone. Presentation was top notch and we left the hotel each morning feeling very satisfied and ready for the days adventures. Overall, this is a gorgeous hotel in an excellent location. It is made even more homely by the attentiveness of the staff who are alway on hand to make sure that no needs go unmet. Special shout out to Penelope, Bobo ( aka The President) Paulina, Tshepo & Ray (Security Door Man Extraordinaire) !! Great team !
