Hotel Miravalle

Great hotel , right in centre of town, yet quiet Traditional place with lovely rooms. Our had stunning hill views and an actual fresco. Great aircon. Staff decent . Breakfast basic but ok. We didn’t eat in restaurant but it looked very busy Definitely stay again

Stayed for one night but wish it had been longer. Large, lovely room with all the amenities and access down the hall to the breakfast room and attached restaurant (gave 5 *). Not really sure what else to say except great location along with thoughtful and efficient staff.

Best thing about this hotel was the restaurant, excellent service and first class food. Unfortunately this didn’t extend to the hotel inside which was such a shame as the location at the top of the hills, the views and outside were superb. Obviously this is a medieval building but with a little effort ie lots more lighting, chairs to sit in instead of having to sit on bed, mirrors on walls, painting, tea and coffee in rooms it could be so much better. Unfortunately we were given a room on floor one which whilst a good size had very hard uncomfortable beds, looked nothing like the website photos and smelled musty. We couldn’t find anywhere to sit in the hotel or get a coffee. I wouldn’t rate it a four star hotel in my experience but we loved SAN Miniato, the excellent location and restaurant

Pros - Beautiful setting. Fantastic food in an upscale restaurant on site. Cons - A little ways from the highway but the location makes up for it. Both AC units did not work. They tried fixing but, they couldn’t get it to work.

The hotel is dramatically situated and its restaurant is gourmet plus a great view. Especially Damian at the desk took special efforts to assist a traveler in need.

We managed to get a room for one night here during the white truffle festival due to a cancellation. We were in room 210 at the back of the hotel which had a 180 degree view of the valley. It was a lovely big room with a super-king sized double bed, fridge with water in and free safe. Bathroom with toilet, bidet, sink and shower, nice toiletries and towels and a hairdryer. Our main gripe with the room was the lack of light, now I know it’s a historic building so they are probably limited in what they can do electrical wise, however more lamps are needed in the bedroom and bathroom, it was hard to see to read and write, or to apply make-up in the bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price, we were given a list of all the options available and had to tick what we wanted and what time we would go to the restaurant, from 8am to 10am I think it was and hand it in the night before. It feels a little odd having to pre-order breakfast, my vegetable omelette was a little oily and had chunks of carrot in, the cheese was very bland and the toast seemed barely toasted, however it kept us going all morning and the restaurant was an interesting space with modern sculptures. It was a nice experience to stay in such a historic building at the top of the hill and the views are breathtaking, however the lighting was poor and I would prefer somewhere with a balcony rather than just a window.

Camera ampia, bagno pessimo: piccolissimo, vecchio, la doccia con la muffa sul vetro (segnalata in reception e non pulita). Colazione misera:già la seconda mattina ulteriormente ridotta per mancanza di prodotti.

siamo stati in questa grande e antica struttura ricettiva in 25 gruppo di amici cicloturisti . La struttura è in fase di ristrutturazione la posizione è ottima vicinissima alla rocca e nel punto più panoramico . Il prezzo di gruppo molto vantaggioso . Ognuno ha avuto la sua stanza seppure in appartamento. Buona colazione molto fornita. Personale affbaile. Stanze grandi e storiche con vista panoramica silla valle ...appunto miravalle

Albergo pessimo. Abbiamo soggiornato in una quadrupla ampia(2 camere comunicanti) ed è l'unica nota positiva. Arrivati alle 14.30 troviamo la reception incustodita e dobbiamo attendere fino alle 15.15 prima di vedere comparire la signora. Ascensore guasto e condizioni delle pulizie camere pessime. Set di cortesia quasi inesistente: due dispenser e 4 cuffie doccia. Alla nostra richiesta di avere qualche confort in più, rispondono che solo le suite hanno un vero set. Bagno impraticabile: tavolozza del water scardinata, piatto doccia che perde da un lato e si allaga alla prima breve doccia. In una delle due stanze non vi è l'aria condizionata e abbiamo dormito in un letto ad una piazza e mezza preparato con lenzuola da singolo, pertanto sempre sfatto. Alla mia richiesta, la mattina dopo di mettere delle lenzuola consone, la cameriera ai piani risponde di sì, ma la sera tornata in camera trovo le medesime lenzuola del giorno prima. Chiedo in reception e mi viene portato un lenzuolo matrimoniale dicendomi di metterlo io!!! Colazione imbarazzante: brioche rinsecchite, mele marce e nulla più. Allego foto, sconsigliandolo vivamente.
