Quite how this property has gained 5 stars is inexplicable. I can only think that the owners wrote the reviews themselves. I understand that the hotel has changed hands recently. We booked with the original proprietors and were not informed of the change before arrival. We were told that breakfast would be served in a separate establishment, Hettie Bells, located nearby. They neglected to tell us that this is a grubby pub and that the breakfast area is little more than a station cafe serving limited and unappealing fare! The room itself was fine though small and very noisy. Earplugs were left in the room for use by guests! The carpet was stained. The entrance to the room was via a dirty, smelly hallway which was extremely off putting on arrival. This was altogether an experience I do not wish to repeat.

What a lucky find. we were travelling to Portsmouth and wanted somewhere to stay on the way and what a fabulous find. Everything about our stay was perfect, the welcome, the room, restaurant and the level of customer service was exceptional by everyone we met. Dinner and breakfast were great with high quality ingredients. Their pies are seriously good 👍 Thank you for a fabulous stay. We will definitely be back.

Muy cómodo hoteles muy agradables aquí, muy conveniente, hoteles de alojamiento y descuentos de bares, el servicio es muy bueno, las instalaciones son muy completas, quiero volver una vez más, el vino es muy bueno y bebe.

Liked ·Good size room, bathroom and bed. Huge TV on the wall which was good. Clean sheets and comfy bed. Fan provided in the room which was fantastic. Disliked · Lack of sockets in the room. Redecoration is required. Front door very noisy and can disturb. No human interaction throughout the stay. Breakfast was a huge disappointment, Bacon sandwich or small croissants, fruit juices on the final dregs, not the breakfast expected for a hotel or bed and breakfast.

We stayed for 2 nights, family of 3 adults and 2 children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the apartment loft with 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. The room was clean when we arrived, a cot and highchair was already in the room and there was even a baby blanket which was a lovely touch. My eldest son slept on the sofa bed which was more than adequate for him however I would say this is only suitable for a child. We all slept very well, the beds were comfy and despite it being on the main road it was extremely quiet inside. I will definitely stay here again when we come and visit for our yearly family trip. If you stay during the warmer months then I would suggest bringing a portable fan, the air coolers provided aren’t great but we did bring our own fans and slept with the windows open. Everything you need is provided. A fabulous stay.

Una gran equipo, extremadamente amigable, han renovado las habitaciones y el hotel Los mocktails fueron sorprendentes La comida es muy buena, en realidad invité a mis amigos locales a cenar y almorzar y ellos estaban hablando de ella el día siguiente, que siempre es un buen signo. Definitivamente me quedaría de nuevo lo único que diría, es que las camas/matrimonio son extremadamente firmes. Pero todo lo demás es perfecto 👌
