Frattina 57

I loved our suite at Frattina 57. The room was light and airy with plenty of space. It was cleaned beautifully everyday and the free mini bar was restocked every day for an after sightseeing relaxing drink. The room had a small terrace and a lovely big bed. The decor is quirky and I don't think you'll get a better space for this price right in the centre of Rome. It is lovely and quiet for the location too. The staff were incredibly helpful and there is a gorgeous cafe just down the street for a perfect breakfast. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Rome. Yes it has an old lift but it is in an old building, part of the charm of Italy!

I really liked staying here, amazing location, owners very helpful, my bed to very comfortable. I had my first introduction to Italian lifts ……so very small and old, but once I got the hang of how it works, it was fine. My only issues were - its too dark once you get off the lift, and I had problems with the keys- to the point I stayed in on my last evening and didn’t go out for dinner, as I was sooo unsure that I would be able to get back in, oh and the hot water was hit or miss.

We were only in Rome for one night and decided to book this property, having seen good reviews and mainly for the hot tub to relax in after a full day walking around the city. When we got back to the room in the evening, after spending the day walking in 35C+ heat, we filled the bath and found that there were drain worms floating in the water, alive! Considering the price of the room for one night we were pretty disgusted, I don't know if other visitors simply failed to notice this but it was unacceptable for us. They cancelled our booking and were unable to put us up in another room so we were forced out to find accommodation last minute in the middle of Rome late at night. Utterly disappointing and we were never refunded the additional City Tax that we had to pay. Do yourself a favour and book a proper hotel, this is not a hotel, it is an owner run set of three rooms so no option to relocate in instances like this.

The room was more than adequate in size. It was quiet. The bed was comfortable. The tub and shower were good, though it was a little tricky for us older folks to get in and out of the tub. The owners were helpful and cordial. We sometimes wished we had a front-desk person for sightseeing advice, but we managed our stay in Rome quite nicely without. All in all, a very nice place to stay.

Good location and value for money, but a little frayed in parts - although clean - and it can be noisy. Responsive service.

The property is nice but the owner was constantly calling to check at what time we will be at the property. It’s a little inconvinient when you don’t really have plans and plan to be out of the hotel. It’s an apartment that qas changed to be a hotel. Overall good.

Ho pernottato nella suite 1950 che affaccia sulla Via Frattina. Il personale è stato molto molto cortese e la posizione del b&b è indubbiamente molto centrale e comoda. Peccato che la camera non sia ben insonorizzata (per cui il rischio di vicini di stanza poco educati che rientrando fanno rumore può rovinarti il pernottamento) e che vi siano delle manutenzioni non rinviabili (infiltrazioni dal tetto in alto a destra della finestra, poltrona che non invita a sederti, ecc.). Nella media quindi 3 stelle, ma con degli aggiustamenti potrebbe aspirare a voti più alti.
