"El hotel está situado en tres niveles y no hay ascensor. No hay restaurante ni bar, aunque el personal servirá bebidas felizmente en el pequeño salón. El WiFi no está al servicio. La ciudad de Ragusa está en dos colinas y la calle principal una larga colina. El hotel está en una calle estrecha y el único estacionamiento está en la calle y es limitado. ¡Tienes que estar a la altura! La ubicación es buena para el acceso a la ciudad o a Ragusa Ibla, la parte más antigua."

"If I could put more stars, I would. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. Our stay was comfortable, relaxing and Giovanni and Raffaella were perfect hosts and amazingly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from booking restaurants and recommending places to go to helping us with a hire car. The Palazzo was beautifully furnished and cool in the heat of the day, quiet and with a balcony view over the town a fine place to relax in the evening. It was very conveniently placed in the older part of the main town, with many local sights in easy walking distance. All of the rooms would be to an equally high standard, but we stayed in the King Room, which was bright and comfortable, with a spacious, well-appointed and clean bathroom down a short corridor - the best type of en-suite. The Palazzo has an impressive history and Raffaellla was rightly proud of her heritage, and we enjoyed hearing about it, and all the local information she spoke about. The breakfasts we were provided with were enormous and full of local cheeses and meats; not only that but Raffaella's delicious home baking, a new treat every day. There were plenty of local restaurants nearby and we enjoyed two great evening meals during our stay. Ragusa Ibla is only a short walk away, but be warned, the twenty-thirty minutes it takes is down hundreds of steps and then up some more steps or steep roads. It's well worth it, as there are numerous spectacular views and you will pass lots of interesting buildings. But failing that, the local shuttle bus or a taxi can take some of the effort out of the trip. I would not hesitate to stay here again. To travel in this part of Sicily the bus service was reliable, on-time and tickets easy to buy on-line and download on your mobile to show to the driver. If you hire a car, a good sat-nav is worth taking as many Ragusa town roads are very narrow (indeed!) and so one-way only... getting to and from your preferred location may require some circular trips."

" Poggio del Sole Hotel Is a hotel of contradiction with impressive and grossly unimpressive features. The hotel is very large considering its remote, rural location. The foyer area is enormous with a large comfortable lounge area. There are numerous large dining areas and you can also eat by the side of the large pool. The pool also has a bar so you can order drinks and snacks. The decor is tasteful with wooden reproductions of a variety of cactus plants including the prickly pear, a noxious **** in Australia but its fruit is used to flavour spirits in Sicily. All sounds very impressive and favourable so far. So how do most people spend most of their time besides sleeping? Browsing the Internet on their phones and iPads. Whilst “free WiFi” signs are common in hotels, cafes etc., it is now a universal expectation. With this in mind, efficient internet connectivity is both mandatory and essential. During our two day stay, WiFi was generally unavailable. To make matters worse, the restaurant menu was only available electronically and there were no paper back up menus. Selecting a food choice from an invisible menu is a challenge. Understandably the restaurant staff seemed to be in a permanent state of stress. The food was very good but a prayer may be needed to get what you ordered. Oh! yes. The rooms are large and have all the expected facilities except for drink making items. Large bed but with 3-stars for comfort. Large bathroom, hot water but wafer thin towels. So lots of pluses, a few minor negatives and the WiFi issue may not be a regular problem (suspect it is), restaurants have atmosphere and reasonable food so just remember to bring a book to read for when your mobile device is inoperative."

"We stayed for 7 nights in this place. We were upgraded to a swim up suite, which was a really nice surprise and a bonus to have the little private pool. This is a luxury hotel with the agriturismo spirit. The location is beautiful, super quiet, especially when you are staying in the second building that they recently opened. The views are marvelous and we enjoyed a walk through the olive orchard every morning and see the men at work harvesting the olives. Breakfast was good with a great variety, also vegetarian friendly. The ladies at the reception are super friendly and helpful. The wellness was a bit bare when we booked it as only jacuzzi and sauna were working but they gave us a 50% discount in return. We do feel that you are a bit far away to explore the interesting towns nearby, for us this was more about visiting beaches, apart from visiting Scicli. You can go for more touristic beach in Marina di Ragusa or more local in Donnalucata. Great options to eat out in the area, but you will need to drive a bit and the restaurant at the hotel was a very good option too, but rather for a full dining experience for one night than daily dinners. We did use the kitchenette quite a bit so that's a great addition in the room. If we go to Sicily again, we will happily return here."

"El hotel está situado en el centro entre la parte antigua de la ciudad (Ragusa Ibla) y la parte más nueva y alta de la ciudad (Ragusa Superiore), no al final de las escaleras... una ubicación perfecta. El hotel es pequeño y está decorado con mucho estilo. Nos encantó. El personal (Vincenzo) es súper agradable y muy servicial y atento. Preparó un excelente desayuno con carnes, quesos, panes y productos para untar locales. Delicioso. Nuestra habitación tenía una vista maravillosa y una pequeña terraza. Los espacios públicos y las terrazas en la parte superior también tienen vistas increíbles. Es un sitio genial. ¡Queríamos quedarnos!"

"A fabulous stay in a beautifully renovated, stylish, charming and elegant building. The owners we so warm and welcoming, greeted us with a glass of wine while offering advice and suggestions for our visit around town Our room was immaculate, beautiful supper comfortable, an easy mix of traditional with some excellent modern additions The highlight for me was the most memorable breakfast. All home cooked and delicious. This is a breakfast that will be difficult to top! On top of all that there is car parking and the property is very well situated only a minute or 2 from bars, restaurants and attractions. I would highly recommend a stay here"
