The female staff at the front desk and breakfast area of this Residence Inn are first class. They are extremely pleasant and helpful. We have stayed here before. It is a quiet area with a large body of water right outside the hotel. The breakfast has many choices with one hot plate that varied from day to day -- Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich, burrito, waffles, French toast. There were very good muffins. There are also bagels, instant oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties. Some days there was bacon. Most days the only fresh fruit was oranges and some days apples. I was surprised that there never were any bananas. The coffee was very good. There are pictures on line of the breakfast that doesn't look like anything they offered. Some of the pictures of the rooms show a full stove. Our room only had a two burner flat top unit -- no oven. There was a full size refrigerator and microwave. The room service was a choice of no one coming in or every other day. We chose every other day. They only came once in our 8 day stay. This wasn't particularly bothersome to us since you could get fresh towels at the front desk. The pool area is somewhat small which also was not a problem for us. There is a loud fan sound that runs all day in the room even if you turn off the air conditioning off. It is a steady noise not on and off. It was annoying that it could not be turned off.

Our stay at the end of last month started out not so great, with a musty smelling room --and only one elevator (which, unfortunately, was the case for the entire week, causing long wait times). That said, the front desk staff was very nice and moved us to a non-smelling room. While we didn't get a platinum upgrade, breakfast (and breakfast staff) was great. Dinner could use some work and consistency. The outdoor facilities were very nice and well-kept. With regard to the issues we had, Tom, the GM, was SUPER responsive and went above and beyond to address the issues and make sure we were happy. I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that he took the time to address these items himself! Would recommend.
