Sandcastle Hotel on the Beach

Everything was amazing didn’t pay for an ocean view but still had a beautiful view!

Views were great. But the rooms were a little dark and the lamps in the room did not work. Luckily during the day the window lighting helped but at night it was very dark in the room. The employees were very nice

We loved the property and the location, but the king-sized bed we paid extra for was lumpy and uncomfortable. Get new beds!!!

The property is located on the beach. We had a partial ocean view with 2 queen beds. The room was actually clean. However, it does need some maintenance. We found the outdoor rattan furniture on our balcony lacked seat cushions (both balconies on either side of us had some), so we could only sit on the hard chairs a few minutes. The balcony lighting recessed into the ceiling was falling out and we never did find the light switch for it. The beds sit very low to the ground with not 2, but 1 mattress and was not very comfortable. The bathroom was clean but needs some attention to walls and door near floor where there is very noticeable water damage. The mini split heater part of unit made a high pitched noise so loud that it was not allowing me to sleep so ended up turning it way down so that it only came on if temp got to 68 in the room (during day the outside temp high was 60 and overcast). The refrigerator worked good as did the TV. The lamp between the beds worked and had an electrical outlet as well as USB outlets on its base. The electrical outlet did not work on the base. The coffee machine and coffee are inside a cupboard next to refrigerator. The hotel itself in common areas were clean and inviting. There are 2 areas where you can sit on large patios, on floor 1 and floor 3 and had fire pits. There is a coffee/food bar onsite, even though we did not purchase anything, the prices were reasonable and the photos of the food looked good.

The overall experience was very good! The updates to the room was nice, beds were comfy, easy access to the beach and promenade. I thought the breakfast was pricey but I wasn’t surprised. Friendly staff at the front desk and housekeeping.

Atmosphere unlike any hotel I've been to. Great location and great atmosphere! Rooms overlooking the ocean are worth every penny!

This property is mostly nicely renovated, but our bed in an ocean view, top floor, $400 a night rate, was worst than what you might expect in a motel6. Sagging, flat, and out dated low. For all the other renovations, neglecting the beds is unacceptable.
