We really loved the location and vibe of Furaiso. Hosts were very friendly and attentive and passionate about their guest house. The breakfast was great with really delicious bakes with huge portions. Hosts even provided take away bags as we could not finish them. As there was a cold snap with strong winds during our stay, our host also provided us with heat packs and a nice free gift of Okinawa brown sugar peanuts. The only small issue is, it would be great if toilets can be in-built into the rooms instead. However, it could be due to it being a family room type as I couldn't get reservation for other rooms which may come with in room toilets. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would consider again once I visit Okinawa again :)

My stay at Yawn Yard Kouri Island (Sea) was overall very pleasant. Each villa features a private swimming pool and an outdoor soaking tub, offering a serene and luxurious retreat. The in-room dining service was especially ideal for families with infants—like ours, with a 3-month-old baby boy. It allowed us to enjoy meals without worrying about sudden crying episodes disturbing other guests, as might happen in a public restaurant setting. The dinner provided through in-room dining was exceptionally delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We truly enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the villa’s outdoor courtyard, where we could take in stunning ocean views, sunsets, and even rainbows—a truly magical experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, adding to the overall sense of relaxation and making our stay even more memorable. That said, it’s worth noting that the villa’s design leans toward an eco-lodge style. The bathroom is located at the rear of the house, requiring guests to walk through the outdoor courtyard each time they need to use it. This can be less convenient in the evening, especially when insects like spiders are more active. For this reason, the accommodation may not suit everyone.

Este fue el mejor alojamiento que he tenido en Okinawa. Me arrepiento de haberme quedado solo una noche debido a mi itinerario. Me encantó el exterior tradicional de las casas okinawenses, el suelo de tatami típico de las casas japonesas y la cocina y el baño modernos y bien cuidados. La vegetación detrás del hotel dificultaba un poco el acceso a la playa, pero en cuanto vi el océano, me sentí renovado. Había muchas toallas, y el hotel proporcionaba lavadora, secadora y detergente para la ropa, lo cual fue genial para mantener mi traje de baño limpio después de nadar. Había microondas, hervidor de agua y tostadora, lo que facilitaba comprar comida de fuera y calentarla. El aire acondicionado funcionaba bien y la presión del agua era buena, así que tuve una estancia cómoda. Llovió durante la noche, pero me desperté con el sonido de los insectos afuera. Mi hijo dijo que este fue el alojamiento más memorable. La única pega de nuestra estancia fue que nos costó un poco abrir la puerta al registrarnos. La puerta se abre manualmente con llave, pero la cerradura es tan pequeña que da la sensación de que no abre bien, lo cual podría ser la razón. Nos costó mucho abrirla, así que fuimos al edificio de al lado y le pedimos ayuda a un huésped extranjero que se alojaba allí. También dijo que al principio le costó abrir la puerta.

Very new hotel with free parking; It looks like a hotel built within a residential neighbourhood. Accessibility is limited with small lane for car. Room is contemporary and spacious.

A Wonderful and Welcoming Stay I had a fantastic experience at Kaya Resort Kourijima. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They were always happy to help with a smile, which made the atmosphere feel very warm and relaxing. The location is another major plus. It's in a great spot that feels peaceful and is very easy to find, making the journey there hassle-free. It served as a perfect base for exploring the beautiful surroundings. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent service on Kourijima.

Hay muchos insectos en las cercanías con más hierbas. Hay algunas redes de malla en la habitación del hotel  Antes de dormir, se encontró que había insectos en la cabeza de la cama, y la sola cama tenía una espuma amarilla  La noche más insectos no pueden usar la piscina es un poco desagradable  Sugerir que el hotel pueda proporcionar algo que expulsa insectos El precio del hotel no es barato, la ubicación geográfica no es conveniente  No puedo imaginar que nadie pueda ayudar a llevar el equipaje a la habitación después de la entrada. Its a small newer 2 story home in a development of ~20 the same, no garages. Maybe 70m2. Partial ocean views from 2nd floors, but separated from the seaside by other resort homes or trees. No beach here anyway, it's all rocks and shrub. Concrete pavement there but the short road going in is undeveloped dirt road. 2 bedrooms, 2 little beds each, on 2nd floor. 1st floor nice little living room with tv and kitchen, but sofa is not sleepable. Only problem is no bathroom upstairs and have to walk down dark steep stairs at night. Also not much for shopping or food nearby, have to drive ~20 min for grocery or fuel.

Self service hotel. hotel will email guest QR code. use this to check in. need to scan and photo all guest ID or passport. Try to use the main roads to get to the hotel. If you follow Google Maps, it will take you through many narrow alleys with steep slopes. Get your breakfast from the hotel. not so convenient to get breakfast in Kouri Iskand. 30min drive to nearby town Nag where you can get find many restaurant and shopping. The nearest decent supermarket is about 20mins drive away. room feature small kitchen (microwave oven )but no utensils. Recommeded---＞ best C/P value stay in Kaori Island for the view ....

firstly, the route to the hotel and the parking was challenging, the view was excellent tho. secondly, there was a problem that while I was inside the room, my partner accidentally entered a wrong password outside, the high-pitched alarm lasted for 5 minutes, i couldn't even open the door from the inside... and the alarm was ON AGAIN for another 5 minutes when I tried to open the door from the inside after the alarm settled...

Despite the remote location in a far corner of Kouri Island, this Villa is quite easily accessible, within walking distance to the landmark attraction Heart Rock on the Island. The openness of the Villa is unique, which may not be liked by those who require security and privacy. A dip in the jacuzzi on the terrace during the day is a highlight of our stay. We particularly enjoyed having all curtains opened so we could submerge ourselves in nature and looked at the vast blue sky of Okinawa in the sunny afternoon we luckily had during our stay in mid April.
