I am a solo female traveler from America. The owner and family took wonderful care of me. As if I were their family and not just a guest. The owner drove me to the Mao scenic area, helped me find the ticket area, and returned later to take me home. Then he later drove me to a restaurant for dinner, where I also met his cute dog Wang Wang, and afterwards took me to the evening musical performance about Mao. Which was great to see even not speaking Chinese. My departure train was late in the afternoon but they allowed me to just rest in the hotel lounge and garden. Gave me tea, fruit, and cake while I waited. Even offered to drive me to the train! So friendly. So kind. And hotel room was VERY comfortable. Stay here! Ps. I recommend using WeChat to communicate with the host if you don’t speak Chinese. Made things so easy.

The hotel is quite new, room is clean and service is pretty good, every alternative day, there will be some complementary snack given to you at the counter. Whole in lobby waiting, the staff will offer you chinese tea to drink. Very attentive to anything happens in the room and will fix the problem as soon as possible. The con is food is limited in varieties daily, I would propose to get a fresh coffee grind machine, didn't like the instant coffee mix machine. Secondly, if your room is facing the main road, it can awfully get noisy.

The couple running this renovated traditional home in Mao's home village are very attentive to guests' needs, even on the busiest day of the year, December 26th, Chairman Mao's birthday. My partner was coming down with a cold and got some ginger soup to drink. Additionally, when we screwed up our schedule and almost couldn't make our train out of Shaoshan, with no train available to reschedule, the couple arranged for the husband to drive us to the station for little more than gas money. It's up a slight hill from the other inns and allows one to get a bit of peace and quiet, again, even on the busiest day of the year, when Shaoshan is very worth a visit for anyone interested in Mao Zedong's legacy, given the number of Chinese people who show up to sing, dance, wave various flags and give speeches. Don't make our mistake and schedule the Chairman Mao memorial hall for a full visit instead of rushing though it. The exhibit is full of pictures and dioramas and has English captions for most things. I also wish we'd had time to explore the pagoda on the hill behind the guesthouse.

El hotel está bien, el transporte está bien, la experiencia de viaje es muy satisfactoria, este hotel fue una excelente experiencia! La habitación era limpia, bien equipada y la cama estaba muy cómoda. El personal del escritorio delantero era amigable y eficiente, haciendo la entrada y la salida suaves. La ubicación es grande, con fácil acceso al transporte y a muchos restaurantes cerca. El desayuno era variado y delicioso. El entorno es tranquilo y seguro, ofrece un gran valor para el dinero. ¡Me quedaré aquí de nuevo y le recomiendo a otros!

La segunda vez que elija esta casa todavía no me decepcionó, la presión de agua es grande para masajes en la espalda, el agua caliente es muy rápida, el cuarto es grande, la cama está cómoda, el desayuno es delicioso, el servicio es muy bueno, sentado en el hall y enviando de manera activa agua potable, muy movido. El mercado nocturno de Chen City puede caminar y volver a caminar, muy conveniente y volver la próxima vez.

Stayed for one night. Was not my first choice, but had to stay here because foreigners allowed at this hotel. Many other hotels in Xiangxiang do not allow foreigners to check-in. Check-in process was smooth, and staff courteous and professional. Standard room with the standard amenities. Located right in the city center. Could not comment on other aspects because did not experience/use.
