I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands.
I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of.
During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service.
But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing.
This was not a tourist activity.
It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries.
My conclusion:
This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

KKuang KuangWe stayed for two nights. On the first day, we visited Jiuhua Mountain Dayuan Culture Park, located at the foot of Mt. Jiuhua, before checking in to our hotel at the Jiuhua Street Scenic Area. The following day, we visited the key temples and explored Jiuhua Street. On the third day, we visited the Heavenly Terrace Scenic Area, specifically Tiantai Temple. We were grateful to the hotel for upgrading our room to enhance accessibility for elderly guests, as well as their helpful advice on executing our plan. Also for arranging private transportation and providing pick-up/drop-off services. The only disappointment was the lack of variety at the breakfast buffet.

YYU CHUANLa ubicación del hotel es buena, justo en la calle opuesta a la estación de montaña de formas rojas. La comida cercana es conveniente. El anfitrión está entusiasta de recibir y ofrecer la ropa interior con entusiasmo para resolver el problema de lavar la ropa en nuestro viaje de muchos días.

AADT_Marco¡El hotel de vacaciones de Kwunhua Mountain, ¡una opción de tesoro que no quiere ir!
Ya es la segunda vez que te quedas en el hotel de vacaciones de Kwunhua Mountain, y me sorprende cada vez.
El entorno del hotel realmente no dice nada, limpio y tranquilo, el manejo del jardín es muy hostil y le hace sentirse especialmente relajado. La mejor es la excelente ubicación, muy cerca de la estatua tibetana, y unos minutos a pie pueden llegar, tanto para la peregrinación como para la visita.
Esta vez más agradecido es la Srta. Lee de la recepción! Desde el registro de la estancia hasta la salida, todo el viaje está lleno de sonrisas, el servicio es cuidadoso y intimidad. Cualquier problema es el primero en resolvernos, y ofrece muchas consejos prácticos para hacer el viaje más cómodo.
En resumen, este es un hotel que me hace sentir como si fuera a casa. La próxima vez que traiga a la familia a la montaña de Kwai, debes vivir aquí! Se recomienda enérgicamente a todos los amigos que vienen a la montaña de Kwai.

Amenities - rooms, restaurant, foot massage center(cannot locate) and Chinese chess rooms. Not sure, how this hotel is awarded 5 stars?
Rooms setup - guess it is time to renovate. Heard the renovation project is approved! Cheers!
Services - rooms for improvement! As I had a early flight to catch at 9.50am and the earliest bus from the mountain to the tourist center was 6.30am (again different front desk staffs told me different timings) so I tried to request for a paid car service to send me down. They said the hotel doesn't provide such service, asked me to reach out in the streets to see if the resturants or shop owners can provide such services! 1st time encounter in a 5 stars hotel, really a good learning for me in 2024:)

CClau HernandezPerfect place! As foreingers is quite Hard to travel in china due to the language....but in this amazing place there is no need to speak chinise. People is so friendly and kind. Our room was so clean, with everything we needed. The breakfast is super good. They took us to the bus station to the jihua mountain. They also took us to a very nice place for dinner, this was our fist time in this town , so we request for a recommendation on where to have dinner , and this was the Best meal on our 2 weeks china trip. They were so friendly , we hope to come back here and definately recommending the hotel to everyone
