Sandaway Suites & Beach

We find Sandaway to be a perfect place to relax. We have stayed at the property on multiple occasions over the years, and always leave refreshed. The staff is courteous, discreet and always helpful. The Gibsons are friendly and welcome conversations with the guests. We have recommended Sandaway as a perfect "getaway" for couples who want to "chill".

Extremely quiet with a beautiful view. The property was on the water located in a peaceful town. The perfect place for visiting the area while having the ultimate place to retreat and enjoy complete relaxation.

A very, lovely property with wonderful views of the water. The Innkeeper Ben and the owner Ken are so kind, and the room was very well appointed with lovely touches to make the stay better. Note that the property does not provide full hotel amenities - I.e. no daily housekeeping and has no restaurant or breakfast on property and no included activities/ amenities - but for our two night stay it was lovely. Great for a writers retreat or a couples trip or solo trip if you are searching for solitude. Oxford is very quaint and feels like an extension of your resort. There are about 5-6 restaurants in town / near the hotel, 1 coffee show and a small corner store in town. If you are staying for an expended period, I recommend picking up some provisions in Easton on your way into Oxford (there is a target, BJs and other big box stores). On the whole we really enjoyed our stay!

Sandaway Suites & Beach is an outstanding place to enjoy a relaxing stay. The operation is seamless and the rooms are awesome. Oxford, Maryland adds to the pleasure of this visit.

Are stay was wonderful, the view was beautiful and very relaxing. The suite was very nice and clean , the bed was very comfortable. They gave information brochures and snacks .The town was so pretty , We rented a bike to explore the town of Oxford. The Restaurants were very good . I would definitely come back again!!

The house and accomodations were amazing!! The view was so beautiful and relaxing. We loved walking through town and along the water. The room was very clean and we had everything we needed for the weekend. We truly enjoyed our relaxing getaway and would highly recommend Sandaway.

Clean suite luxury tub ac was wonderful and most importantly was the comfortable bed. A mini fridge and microwave is included for your convenience. What meant the most was how Ben Gibson took such good care of me from the time I booked. After hearing about mobility issuses Ben suggested staying at the Tuckaway cottage which hasnt any stairs to climb. And was large enough for a two night stay. Ben gave us a senior discount along with a special which advertised a weekly savings for booking on the week days. Ken Gibson ( the owner)met us in the parking lot the day of our arrival as I emailed saying we were early. He showed us exactly where the tuck a way was located along with directing us to the amazing beachy willow tree. The beach is less then a 2 minute walk and Mr. Gibson shared his hospitality with us by telling us we could discover the property and beach until check in time. A wonderful welcome bag was hanging on the door at the time of arival. Snacks cups history and good referls were all included inside the bag.Promp replies through email was much appreciated Both my husband and I Love this beautiful place and my husband and I plan on returning next Summer for a longer stay

The suite exceeded our expectations. It was a Mother's Day treat for my mother and she didn't want to go back home! The room was a stress reliever and had all the necessary accommodations. We loved the town and absolutely was estatic to walk out and onto the waterfront.

We absolutely loved this inn. It's a very well maintained old manor, and our room was wonderful. We especially loved the private screened in porch, beautiful setting on the Tree Avon River with so much space and and privacy that although I believe it was a full house this weekend for Oxford Day (which i highly recommend), it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We used bicycles to get around and it was perfect. Can't wait to come stay again!
