We are very happy with our stay. The establishment is very beautiful with amazing decorations and a calm environment. The views are amazing. I highly recommend staying on the 5th floor so you will have views of the valley. The restaurant is unusual with a river running through. We also like the cock in reception. The host is also very nice and even checked on us if we were too cold in the night.

Our stay at the Home of Mountains Hotel near Danxiashan was truly amazing and memorable, thanks to the incredible hospitality and service of the owner and staff. We were invited to join them in picking plants from the garden, which were later used to make delicious homemade dumplings. We also got to taste other homemade delicacies, adding to the homely atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, providing a comfortable retreat. The hotel's location is perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the main gate of Danxiashan Geopark. We highly recommend this hotel as it is undoubtedly the best in the entire area.

The host family are super nice, friendly and helpful. They were interested to talk with you and help you figure out your plans. Location is super convenient it’s just a 15 minute walk. Unfortunately, it’s outside of parking area and cannot park Hello bike in front of hotel, so you need to park back to the tourist entrance and walk back to the hotel. They’re willing to upgrade my room and give me a bigger room. There are two washing machine on rooftop and drying rack.  A lot of uncles are sitting in the living room and smoking, so a lot of time you can smell the cigarettes 

A comfy, no frills Chinese inn managed by a husband and wife team. The lady owner was informative and helped me to plan the best routes to hike as well as enjoy the Danxia Mountains. She even assisted me to purchase a discounted ticket for the Danxia night cruise. Inn's location is located near the Danxia main gate as well as eateries. Perfect Chinese hospitality. Truly a home away from home. TIP: Non locals including foreigners who flew into Guangdong province within the last 10 days and can show their air tickets at the ticket counter can get a free 2 day visit to the Danxia Mountains. Information is accurate as at January 2026.

Nos quedamos aquí como familia con nuestro hijo durante nuestro viaje de otoño a la montaña Danxia, y sirvió como una base perfecta y conveniente. La mayor ventaja es su proximidad a la zona de escena de la montaña Danxia, que nos ha salvado mucho tiempo de pasar con un niño joven, y también fue una conducción razonable a la estación de ferrocarril Shaoguan. Las habitaciones son limpias y espaciosas para una familia. Como familia, nos encantamos especialmente las características que han hecho nuestra estadía más cómoda (considerar mencionar cualquier acomodación específica que te gustaba, por ejemplo, ”el restaurante en el lugar tenía buenas opciones para el niño” o ”la disposición de la habitación era conveniente”). El personal fue útil, y para los viajeros familiares, un servicio eficiente es clave, y nos han ayudado bien con las direcciones y consejos de viaje locales. El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, donde se encuentran los niños y los niños. Es más sobre comodidad y confort práctico que sobre lujo, que es exactamente lo que necesitamos.

We stayed at this hotel in Danxia Geopark for three nights, and we absolutely loved it! The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the receptionist who helped us with everything we needed. The room had all the necessary amenities and was very comfortable. The air conditioner was new and very quiet, making our stay even more pleasant. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, and the hotel is very close to the park entrance, which was extremely convenient. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!

Amazing owners and staff. The location is a bit remote but near Danxia mountain, so not too bad- the trip is about RMB 55 from the railway station. I didn’t plan my trip so the owner and staff provided really good suggestions. the breakfast is simple but cooked well and the vegetables were really fresh. The sweet potato was amazing! There’s also a really nice local restaurant with farm to table food prepared, about 100m from this home stay. Thank you for a pleasant stay! I will be back :)

The owner is really nice, explains how to climb the mountain, and tell me all the routes , which one is easier, walk first, then the second route is more relax. He treat me breakfast, steam red potatoes and own grow organic bananas, sweet and tasty. The room is spacious, and clean, he recommended us the restaurant, is local but the dishes is delicious. So far, we love it.

10/10 for Service – Truly Exceptional Stay in Shaoguan I had the most beautiful experience at this homestay in Shaoguan. From the very beginning of my trip, the service was outstanding. Someone was waiting for me at reception, and although my room wasn’t far, they kindly transported me by golf cart to the queen bedroom I had booked. That small gesture already made me feel welcomed and valued. I chose the queen bedroom with the mountain view and hot tub, and it was absolutely worth it. The room had a small balcony overlooking the mountain area, surrounded by flowers everywhere. It felt peaceful, private, and incredibly scenic. The room itself was spotless, and housekeeping cleaned daily to a very high standard. As an English speaker in China, communication can sometimes be challenging, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. They used WeChat to communicate easily, and even arranged for an English-speaking staff member to assist me. They truly tried their best, and I felt completely supported the entire time. Room service was available anytime — I could simply message them on WeChat and they would bring food directly to my room. That level of convenience was amazing, especially since there are no nearby stores. You do rely heavily on the kitchen and staff — but honestly, that’s not a problem because they are so attentive and accommodating. Breakfast was served from 8:00 to 10:00 every morning, and the staff kindly reminded me daily. They offered traditional Chinese breakfast options. On my first day, I had a comforting bowl of ramen, and on the second and third days, I enjoyed the buffet area. For lunch and dinner, they also offered Western options. At one point, when I had a sudden sugar craving, they even made me sweet potato pancakes that weren’t on the menu — just to accommodate me! That personal touch meant so much. A must-try experience is horseback riding — and if you can, bring a carrot for the horse! It adds to the charm of the stay. Overall, I would absolutely do this trip again. The service was genuinely 10/10, the setting was beautiful, and the staff made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommended. 🌿✨
