I arrived at about 10 pm on 8/22/24 exhausted with my kids in tow to check in after a LONG day at the NY State Fair. Was given a key card envelope with an illegible room number written on it by the Front Desk worker Nelly. I mistakenly went to the wrong room, the key unlocked the door, and the women inside were up in arms that my kids and I unlocked their door and walked into their room. Yes, my key card opened more than one locked room. Scary. I deciphered the handwriting, went to my room; it was filthy, waste bin was not emptied, it smelled too bad to stay in, had a filthy stained chair and light fixtures, and the sheets had burn holes in them. I went down to the lobby and spoke with Nelly at the front desk immediately to ask for a different room and she told me they were booked and there were no other rooms at all. I insisted and repeatedly asked for a supervisor and Nelly suddenly stated there was a room with a single bed that she could put my 14 year old, 11 year old and me in. Unacceptable. I asked for a supervisor and manager repeatedly. Nelly was very rude, acted as though she has full immunity and job security that is free of reprisals and allows her to speak to the customers as she pleases. When she finally phoned the front desk supervisor Rochele using her personal cell phone, Nelly kept interrupting, yelling, called me ”old” and lied to the supervisor stating I asked for the manager's and supervisor's personal numbers. I was audio recording the interaction, Nelly knew this, acted this way any way, and please note that in the recording it is clear that at no time did I ask for any staff's personal number. I repeatedly asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and Nelly said that was only possible from 9 am - 3 pm as there is no supervisor or manager available after 3 pm. Seriously? Well, front desk supervisor Rochele got on the phone, repeatedly told Nelly to stop talking and interrupting, which Nelly of course did not. Nelly appeared to have unmet mental health issue as evident by demeaner, the star decals glued to her face, excessively long eyelashes, and wild hair style. Conversely, she may just be a free spirit that dresses and acts as she pleases, and simply does not give a F**K. This is not a professionally run operation. When I arrived to complain to Nelly at the front desk, there was a woman that appeared to be in her late 70's or early 80's in the lobby shouting at the top of her lungs with the two young adult males that were in the lobby when I originally checked in. When I originally checked in, the two males were having a loud conversation and using profanity. There were other customers in the lobby with me experiencing this. Nelly knew the males by name and YELLED over the desk for them to stop using profanity. When I returned to the lobby, after I had to wait 10 minutes for Nelly to return, yes, the desk was unmanned and the lobby was locked, Nelly had to yell over the desk to the elderly woman whom she knew by name,

Running out of acceptable places to stay - the more convenient establishment up the road was $120 per nite, I knew that place was becoming an increasingly bad place to stay from my last trip through the area, so $50something per nite seemed more reasonable, just needed a place to sleep. They have done some improvements, it appeared as tho there was new carpeting, some bathroom renovations since the last time i was there, however the cleaning staff needs to put their glasses on, or something, because it just isn’t clean, had to fight with the remote to get the TV turned on so i didn’t have to hear the neighbors on either side, That window seat had stains of unknown origin, and, i always bring my own sheet to sleep between, i know how clean mine are, theirs have seen way better days. They say no smoking but that certainly occurs there, and it isn’t just tobacco. It was good enough coffee so i didn’t require stopping somewhere else, would not even look for “breakfast” there, and it is a quick jump to the thruway from the establishment.
