Just got home from our 4 night stay at Le Kandahar Hotel and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Upon arrival Allain gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the hotel. It was the perfect place to stay for our skiing holiday. Firstly, the steam and sauna was lovely after a long day of skiing. Secondly, the food was amazing! We only ate in the restaurant once, but the burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The restaurant always seemed lively with a good a**osphere. Lastly, the hotel and room was always clean and well maintained. All the staff were very polite and friendly. We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!! Thank you Allain and all the staff at Le Kandahar Hotel.

We have been visiting the Kandahar regularly for seven years and have always had exceptional meals and service. Having eaten at many restaurants in Châtel, both on and off the mountain, the Kandahar remains our firm favourite and chosen location for family occasions. A big thank you to Florence and family for the wonderful hospitality and memorable meals.

Great Food , had the chicken and steak , which was cooked at the table , lots of rice, salad and chips. Had lovely deserts with fantastic service and nothing was too much trouble. Great Venue and special shout out to the waiting staff

We took a group of family and friends for a meal in the restaurant. We were not the easiest group to accommodate, with four coeliacs and one lactose free. They could not have been more helpful - taking the time to check that everything was gluten free or milk free as needed. We had a wonderful meal - thank you.

J'ai failli ne pas pouvoir dormir à l'hôtel, car il y a eu un soucis entre l'hôtel et le site Hôtel.com. l'hôtel n'accepte plus les chiens et sur le site c'était indiqué l'inverse. Les propriétaires m'ont quand même hébergé avec ma chienne

Superbe petit hôtel familial (8 chambres). Nous avons adoré la décoration de style chalet savoyard. C'est très joli, très chaleureux, on s'y sent bien. La chambre est assez grande, très propre, fonctionnelle avec beaucoup de rangement. Elle donne sur un balcon courant tout autour du bâtiment. La literie est très confortable. La salle de bain est très propre... mais très petite. Un petit bémol : la taille des WC...c'est minuscule... Il est quasiment impossible de s'y installer avec la porte fermée : une fois assis on touche la porte ! Le restaurant est magnifiquement décoré. Le service est convivial et efficace. Les plats sont copieux, excellents, bien cuisinés, bien présentés. Nous nous sommes régalés : planche de charcuteries et fromages de montagne ; tartiflette ; sandre ; coupe glacée... tout était délicieux. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour et nous recommandons vivement cet établissement.

Nous étions heureux de pouvoir revenir manger au Kandahar (Le Chalet). Hamburger, tournedos aux morilles et café / chocolat liégeois sont nos plats préférés ici. Mais la carte est bien fournie et il y a du choix. L'accueil est toujours aussi sympathique et la décoration nous plaît toujours autant.

Personnel accueillant, souriant et sympathique. Le service était professionnel et réactif. Le repas était plein de goût entre la fondue et le berthoud . Le vin roussette de savoie excellent.Nous avons passé un excellent moment et c’est ce que nous recherchions
