Mamie Megeve

Un establecimiento original en cuanto a su concepto. Personal acogedor y muy servicial. Hay un servicio de transporte disponible que le permitirá llegar al centro de Megeve mucho más rápidamente.

Las habitaciones son algo húmedas, muy estrechas y lamentablemente cortadas. Está al final de una carretera sobre el pueblo y algunas habitaciones tienen una gran vista del valle. El desayuno es sencillo, pero está bien. Sin embargo, por lo que es y la ubicación, es completamente caro.

We had a great holiday here and enjoyed our stay. There was a group of us all and we all had different room types eg some had a bedroom, bathroom and dressing area where others had separate bedroom, bunk beds, separate toilet & shower room with a kitchen/living area. Offers a great shuttle service which runs regularly from 8.30am - 23.00, you could walk into town but it would take a good 20 mins and is on a pretty busy road. Hotel will arrange ski passes for you to collect the next morning. 10% off ski hire (sorry can’t remember shop name) but it is at the ski lift and you just leaves your skis and boots here every night. (Fantastic service) Rooms have shampoo/conditioner/body lotion and proper hairdryers however the rooms are pretty dark. Breakfast is roughly £17 each (continental) pastry, bread, cheese, ham, some cereals, yogurts, scrambled egg, tea/coffee etc. Staff very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. They do snacks but not meals and limited drink menu but we were going out every night so this didn’t bother us.

I booked this for one night in February as our family just wanted accommodation for a night close to megeve village for a special dinner - and this is the only place we could find in the February holidays that would take a single night booking over the weekend . So, brownie points at least for that! The price wasn’t bad and we had two rooms for 4 of us, but actually we could have all made it into one room as a family, Clearly the case as the room next to us had about 8 adults in it who partied long and hard across the balcony! Rooms were pretty large with a kitchenette. The parking was a bit of a faff and end corridors leading to our rooms were pitch black, reminded me of cinema corridors, and the rooms themselves were also too dark and narrow between bathrooms and door. Weird layout. One child was spooked by the place, so that wasn’t ideal! What a contrast with the reception which sings out at you and looks all stylish and welcoming. If the entire hotel was like that, it would be a wow . But really this is a “motel in the mountains”. Breakfast was poor value which is a shame and when I asked the staff to print me out ski passes for the day - standard request in a ski resort - they said that wasn’t possible unless I’d ordered them the night before. Other hotels just issue them at reception! I don’t think I’d stay again, but it served its purpose.

While the room was of decent size and the staff on our arrival were very friendly, the room had a horrible smell coming from the bathroom and the room had no warm/hot water! Also we ordered ski passes that were supposed to arrive before 8:30 am and it was 30 mins late causing us to arrive late to our son’s ski class. Overall ok hotel but would not stay there again

I just left Mamie Megeve and can’t wait to be back. It was a last minute trip and I am glad I found this hotel: on the hill over the village of Megeve, you can reach the center through a trail in 15 minutes or take the free hotel shuttle. The shuttle runs every 20 minutes to and from the village and to the ski slopes. The room has a small kitchen with Nespresso machine, kettle and mini fridge. I loved the decor (hip and colorful) and the friendly staff. I brought my dog with me and she was treated like a rockstar.

Nous avons beaucoup appréciés notre séjour dans cet établissement très propre, confort et proche des pistes de ski tout comme le coeur du village de Megeve.. l’établissement s’est adapté à nos demandes et a toujours été très réactif C’était parfait, nous y reviendrons

Bonne localisation, belle vue (d'un seul côté), petit-déjeuner sympathique. Points d'effort : connaissance du client à l'arrivée (l'accueil ne savait pas : que j'avais réservé le parking, que j'avais annoncé la prise des petits-déjeuners, que nous avions séjourné à l'hôtel l'an passé...!). Un bar et un coin cuisine dans la chambre (y compris les plaques de cuisson...) qui ont servi à entreposer nos affaires, quasiment aucun rangement de prévu dans une chambre pour trois personnes : de ce fait, un rapport prix-prestations qui ne se justifie pas. Un service de navette aléatoire pour l'accès aux pistes de ski : l'accueil vous garantit que vous attendrez 30 mn maximum... Sans commentaire.

J'ai adoré mon séjour à Mamie Megève. Quel plaisir de retrouver un lieu calme et douillet après avoir flâné dans le centre-ville ! J'ai particulièrement aimé la salle du petit-déjeuner où on peut boire et manger des snacks toute la journée. Et n'oubliez pas d'admirer la vue sur la terrasse ! Ma chambre était beaucoup meilleure de ce que les gens disent ici. Une chambre spacieuse, accueillante, à motifs tartan. Seul bémol: le balcon qui avait une vue pas terrible, mais il y a d'autres avec une meilleure vue. Personnel très accueillant et vêtu dans le thème qui est toujours à votre disposition, que ce soit pour appeler un taxi ou pour vous servir un Aperol spritz. Il y a un shuttle privé tous les vingt minutes devant la porte de l'hôtel qui vous emmène au centre ou au pistes de ski. Là aussi chauffeurs très sympas. Le petit-déjeuner est à 17 euros, ce qui est un peu cher parce qu'on devait payer un supplément si on veut des œufs. Mais bon, ce sont les prix à Megève... Un hôtel hors du commun. J'aimerais bien y retourner un jour !
