Mahdia Palace Thalasso

We spent two weeks at the Mahdia Palace hotel, from the end of July to the beginning of August. We have very good impressions. The hotel is clean, very well maintained. The staff is friendly, especially our wonderful maid Rashida. The security on the beach and in the hotel is excellent. The rooms are very large, the beds are comfortable, especially the toilet, and especially the bathroom. The beach is beautiful, big and clean. The only complaint is the restaurant, which serves an all-inclusive meal. The hall is not big enough to accommodate all the guests, so schedules are made and people wait. 15 minutes to the next shift, in front of the door..I don't think that's right for a 5 star hotel. It's very crowded, we couldn't enjoy the delicious meals. It feels like we're in a student restaurant. When people are on vacation, they don't want to to look at the clock and calculate when the lunch shift is. After 20 years, we decided to go to Tunisia, in previous years we visited Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Malta, Italy, etc. and we have not experienced such a bad organization of restaurants, as here. Is a good hotel .. clean hotel with clean rooms .. restaurant is beautiful too with many choices and is good foods .. and we can't forget the animation team specially " ramos " and " bobo " this twice is so crazy and funny and also dancers .. we will back of course

This is the best hotel. I like thalasso ,food, cleaning and like so much ANIMATION TEAM , I like all team but the best one my friend AZIZ. With AZIZ I can spend my day . And animation team make positive vibes only one hundred % I want to come back here next year. And tell about this hotel to my friends. That’s all thank you for your attention

It's beautiful hotel and there are many things is so beautiful .. rooms is clean and always clean and pool to is clean and with amazing restaurant there are many foods .. Tunisian food Italian food many .. the persons who work in hotel is amazing always smiling and give us positive energy positive vibes .. and of course we can't forget the animation team is great team and specially animator " Ramos : Yasser " ans " Bobo : Amine " I didn't see in my life two animator like this twice crazy funny dancers they do all ... For sure we will back to this hotel

Very nice Hotel with great staff. Rooms are clean and so big. Nice view. Animation program and games for children and adults. Great volleyball time 🤟🏽. Meals was so good and fresch every time of day. Drinks and snacks at the pool.

bobo is the best animator. great fun, he's a big boss. The hotel is super equipped, the beach is nice with clean sea. Every night a disco with super animators. Animators take care of a great program. The hotel is clean, always tidy. I will definitely come back here.

One of the best holidays I've been on since many years honestly never met people as polite and welcoming bobo was one of the animators with an amazing humour always made me laugh brought joy to the holiday every morning with a smile on the face felt like having a bestfriend on holiday with any problems or anything always helped and never failed to make me happy recommend 100% to anyone, food was brilliant never tried such an amazing taste in food brilliant lastly the bartenders never revived service as good as here always checked up on us to see if we were okay and if to have any drinks very welcoming people to talk to happy definitely will be coming again best hotel in Mahdia to go to thank you so much for an amazing hotel 10/10 👍

I have just returned after a 7 night stay. I can understand why this hotel received 5 stars, 7 years ago, however it probably would not get 5 stars if rated now. First impressions are wonderful, the reception area is magnificent, the pool area looks great and the bar areas have 'hundreds' of comfortable looking leather sofas. The rooms are large, seperate toilet and bathroom, ok balcony but its all a bit dated. Now the food. At best it would be classed as 3 star food. If you like salad, there are about 10 different types every meal. If you like desserts, you can try about 20 different types of dessert every meal. The rest of the food is disappointing, its almost always cold or luke warm if youre lucky, if something runs out it will be replaced but it will take a while. more like 20-30 minutes. The restaurant is like a Butlins, it shares no resemblance to the standards of the public areas of the hotel. This is what you get for about £5 per meal as the hotel only charges about £20 a night for half board. The hotel is at the end of Mahdia, a quick cheap taxi trip will get you to the town itself, where you realise that it wasnt worth the effort. So you are stuck with whatever the hotel offers for entertainment. The hotel was quiet by 10pm, that sums up how poor the entertainment was. This is not an all inclusive hotel, they make a lot of money from the inflated prices for drinks, but the hotel makes no attempt to keep guests entertained and therefore spending money. Its a good hotel for Tunisia, if you pay about £400 - 500 per person for a week, with flights, then you won't be disappointed. If you pay more than that, you won't be too pleased. I would not return to Mahdia, as its not welcoming or developed enough for tourists, If the Mahdia Palace was somewhere else, then I probably would return for a cheap quiet break but only if the price was tempting.
