We had the most amazing 3 days 2 nights spent at The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui and we are so glad we made the decision to stay here for our honeymoon.
The service provided by the staff was exceptional and greatly appreciated. They have demonstrated outstanding service which truly made a difference. Their attentiveness and hospitality made our experience even more memorable. Special mention to the Reservation Manager, Gine Castillo Aguenza and reception officer, Yady for their hospitality.
Little touches such as the double room upgrade, bouquet of red roses, evening cocktail drinks at the lobby, cake in room, daily activities and the shuttle bus to Chaweng Beach did not go unnoticed and these are what made Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui so special!
We look forward to returning in the near future!

We booked through luxury escapes with the junior suite upgrade, as part of the grand reopening package, this gave us massage’s and an extra meal every day. The Positives:- our room was enormous with terrace that overlooked the sea, it was nice to wake up to sounds of lapping waves. The whole hotel has had a partial make over and a coat of paint, the gardens and water features are excellent, the pool is clean, maintained and a nice size. The massage team were very polite, professional and not pushy. Their massages are not expensive and seem to price match going further down the beach. The Neutrals:- The refurbishment is cosmetic, the electrical switches are old and yellowed, there’s no usb sockets next to the bed. There seems to be a reluctance in giving you enough towels for your room, 1 small bath towel and a flannel per person, they also provide you pool towels. Breakfast was okay, it’s a buffet service with a European selection and Thai selection, the sliced break was just suitable for toast as the crusts and edges dry out quickly. Rita who served coffee in the morning was shining example as was the chef who did a range of egg’s every morning, they both remembered our daily orders. A point of frustration for us was we didn’t find a single fork or knife that wasn’t bent. I guess the refurb’ budget didn’t go that far. The coffee was variable from okay to very bitter. Some of the table staff seem more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather clearing tables. The pool furniture is tired and in places dirty with bird droppings, the staff seem reluctant to clear used glasses. The included meals on our package were okay, not exciting, the quantity varied, but usually well presented. We ended up going out to a restaurant next to the hotel, which was excellent and great value. To swim in the sea is tide dependent, at high tide the waves come right up to and crash into the property wall and it’s impossible and unsafe to enter and walk down the beach. When the tide is out, there’s quite a lot of litter on the shore edge, which you have cross to get into sea. Another thing to consider, there are facilities for the disabled. There are no lifts, ramps toilets etc, but loads of stairs, it’s a bit of a drag going to reception to get you key card reprogrammed when it fails. If you’re unsteady on your feet give this place a wide berth. The location is about 15-20 mins or 200tb into town. Chewang beach is very lively in the evening, there is something for absolutely everyone there! There’s also a western style shopping mall and a great food court. Finally what really grated us, there’s a price list of items in our room should we break something or decide to take something. This sits really uncomfortable with us. They know the price of everything but the cost of nothing We’re happy to be moving on after 7 nights. We wouldn’t come back here and feel uncomfortable recommending it. However we’d certainly come back to Koh Samui

¡No te costará mucho dinero!

When booking and looking at the photos on the booking website I used I was very much looking forward to this stay. When I arrived my first impression was I couldn't wait to leave. We were shown to a small dark dingy room but told we could upgrade to a superior room. Thankfully it was much better, but still nothing like that shown on the booking site. Don't get me wrong this place is very inexpensive and in a nice location but it could be so much better. It was dirty, we had to go to Lotus's to get cleaning products. The bed may as well be a sheet of chipboard, I'm not sure there was actually a mattress on it? In the three days we stayed the room was not cleaned, bins emptied or anything. The pool area was dirty, people sitting around smoking ****, coughing and spitting; again the photos on the website make it look awesome - in real life not so Definitely not a boutique hotel. On the positive the desk staff are friendly and helpful.

My daughter wanted to go somewhere really special to celebrate her 30th birthday and was interested in going to Thailand. Then she saw some photos of this hotel and it’s amazing views. After reading the reviews the decision was made. We were so excited and so hoped it would live up to everything we dreamed of. We had chosen a private pool villa and it was THE most amazing room with a private pool and outside jacuzzi in a beautiful garden. We felt like we were living in a dream. The big round inside jacuzzi bath in our bathroom was huge. On her birthday I had decorated our room and the staff matched the colours with petals on the bed and two cakes. One was made from towels the other was a delicious white chocolate one! The room was behind the main beach pool so we would get a buggy up to the lounge but we always chose to walk down the big hanging bridges back to the room. The views were stunning and the bridges and stairs looked so pretty lit up at night. We both visited the spa for treatments on her birthday which were very nice. We wanted to go to an ethical elephant sanctuary whilst in Thailand and the concierge booked us to go to Samui Elephant Kingdom. This was just a short drive from the hotel and was one of the high lights of our trip. It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend it. The club lounge was where we had our daily afternoon tea and evening drinks and canapés. The club staff were great they got to know us and knew my daughter liked the duck spring rolls. To her surprise they brought out two on a plate with candles in on her birthday whilst singing “happy birthday“. It’s the little things that make it perfect. I would like to thank you all for everything. I can only remember a few names, Lisa, Knowfang, Meen, Markey but you were all great. A special thank you goes to Dow. You were amazing, kind, professional, friendly and very helpful especially when the air con needed attention. I can’t thank you enough. I had wished we got to see you before we left to say it personally but it was your day off. All the staff from management to ground staff were professional, friendly, polite and always had a smile on their faces. The service was excellent. The hotel app was great. If you wanted anything you just sent a message and the response was immediate. We wanted different pillows they were there in 5 minutes. We asked for sun loungers for our garden again there in a few minutes. We had a problem with the air con and immediately the engineers came. I have never stayed anywhere with such great service. This hotel not only lived up to expectations it surpassed them. It really was like living in a dream. Thank you to all the staff for making this the perfect holiday. We will most definitely be back.

UUsuario invitadoI read many reviews about this resort and studied the Mantra Samui website, but never learned until after I booked (4 nights stay) my room that they had cancelled , during Covid, the regular shuttle that took guests down the hill to Fisherman Villa. I learned this because I called the hotel before my trip to ask some questions and also ask how to reserve a place on their shuttle. The resort does have one auto/driver that will drive you down to the bottom of the hill if it is there, and if it is not picking up someone at the airport. The shuttle delivers you directly to the bottom of the hill, is pretty much is just a local road. Then you can wave down a taxi and negotiate the price. Some fun! The Mantra Sumai should update their website to say the regular shuttle has been cancelled, and replaced by their maybe available one car. Continuing my story... We booked a massage at another hotel that is about 20 minutes away, and gave ourselves one hour to get there. So the night before we reserved to get the ride down to the bottom of the hill for the next day afternoon. When we went to reception, we were informed there was an accident, which was a flat tire, and the tire 'might' be fixed in half an hour and then another 20 minutes to get back to the Mantra. They apparently felt no responsibility to contact us. Just wait for the guests to show up and then tell them. They felt no responsibility to call the driver for any update. They then offered to call a taxi, but that would take about 20 minutes to arrive. Also when you call a taxi there is no opportunity for negotiation. My hour was dwindling. Well 20 is better than maybe 30 + 20 minutes. So they called the taxi. Luckily the Mantra driver showed up after 15 minutes, and the taxi was cancelled. My conclusion, after all the interfaces with reception, is they have a poor sense of responsibility and lacking the ability for logical thinking to provide a good guest experience. There are other examples beyond the above. Our suite room was in good condition, and everything functioning. Well, except the phone did not work, but I did not need that. The suite has a king size bed and a separate built in bed in the back of the living room. OK, so 4 people can stay. But the flaw in the suites is there is only a 2 person love seat to sit on. There is no chair, and no desk. It is no fun to use your laptop when the coffee table level is below your knees. A simple 4 leg table for a desk, and a simple chair would be nice, and not cost very much. They do have an on-site co-work room somewhere, but I did not use it. I think it is an extra cost and I did not have that much work to do anyway. The highlight of the Mantra Samui was the included breakfast. There are many cooked to order choices plus a buffet of juices, fruits, cereals, yogurt, pastries, and several breads you can toast yourself. We tried every item on the breakfast menu and all were nicely done and tasty. Very good coffee and tea made to order i
UUsuario invitadoHad 4 weeks stay at the Dara and it was an amazing experience. The Hotel itself is stunning and the rooms superb and very large. Very well maintained in a tranquil setting and straight onto the beach. Within a few minutes walk you can be in the lively main street with bars, restaurants and other entertainment. The staff were a real credit to the Hotel, nothing was too much trouble, they were attentive and very obliging. Mas was a pleasure to get to know and made our stay much more special. Mook, Ann and Phyio were always there for us and were a pleasure to get to know. Other staff were also superb, they were all a pleasure to know. This was a incredible stay and we will certainly return.

Saladas, carne y yogur no refrigerados tan calientes.
UUsuario invitadoUpon arrival we were awe struck with the organic beauty of the island which we were about to stay on.. After a short boat ride we had arrived in paradise and welcomed with warm smiles and refreshments. We were Taken to our room on our golf buggy (no motorised vechiles on the island yay). Our spacious waterfront room topped off with an infinity pool looked out over the Gulf of Thailand and was immaculately clean and serviced daily by up to 3 housekeepers at a time. We dined at Both Hue restaurant (our favourite) and also Long Dtai Both displaying fresh produce daily, some items unavailable from day to day which suited us as we knew it was all fresh 👍 The Staff Led by Urs (GM) and Patzy (Restaurant manager) were all friendly and attentive. The Day Spa exceeded our expectations with numerous treatments available to ensure you remain relaxed on your holiday Ignore the bad reviews on here about this property The place is amazing without fault!! We will be back ✌️
