RRiri_999We have been checkin in here as out favorite spot to pamper and relax. Checked-in here 3 times as a couple and bow brought our 7 year old daughter and she enjoyed the water spa and kiddie pool. Ace never disappoints us. We are a loyal guests.

Ttats618Disfrutamos del pastel de cortesía y de la mejora de habitación gratuita que nos dieron, además de todas las comodidades. El desayuno buffet podría mejorar un poco en cuanto a sabor, pero nos encantaron sus pasteles (¡sobre todo los daneses!). La piscina estaba bien, pero un poco caótica para nuestro gusto, considerando que había muchos niños jugando. El personal fue muy amable y pudimos registrarnos antes de lo esperado (solo 7 minutos después de la hora de llegada). Sobre todo, nos encantó la vista desde nuestra habitación. ¡Volveremos!

This is a dependable choice—a true 7 out of 10.
The Good: Location and Service Are Top-Tier
The biggest strength of Studio 18 is its location. It's tucked away inside San Antonio Village, which is a quiet and secure gated community, giving you peace of mind in a busy city. Yet, you're only a short, manageable walk away from major hubs like SM Megamall, Capitol Commons, and Shangri-La Plaza. If you rely on public transport, the proximity to the Shaw Boulevard MRT station is a huge plus. It’s an ideal base for shopping, working, or accessing neighboring Ortigas Center.
The Staff deserves special mention. From the security guards to the front desk, everyone is genuinely friendly, accommodating, and quick to address requests. In a large metro, great service makes all the difference, and the team here is absolutely the highlight of the stay.
The Rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially compared to newer, smaller budget studios. Many units come equipped with a small kitchenette (refrigerator, electric kettle, microwave in some), a comfortable desk for working, and good air conditioning. It’s a clean, safe, and functional space that is easy to call home for a few days or weeks.

* Accessibility Check: For those traveling with a lot of luggage, prepare to handle it yourself. There’s a noticeable lack of luggage ramps or a dedicated doorman to assist upon arrival, which can be a hassle, especially on check-in day.
* Evening Access: While the gated community setting is safe, the convenience gates nearest popular dining spots reportedly close around 10 PM. This means if you are out late, you might have a longer walk back through the main gate, which can be inconvenient.

If your priorities are location, safety, and having a good, functional space with excellent staff—and you're willing to overlook some minor facility and logistics kinks—The Studio 18 Residences is a smart and affordable choice. The hotel has an excellent central location near malls and convenience stores.
Staff are nice, friendly, and attentive.
Bed is comfortable, aircon is cool, and showers have adequate pressure.
Cons:
For a new hotel, the furnishings, panels, and walls already show wear and tear. Some panels and tiles show signs of rushed work. Construction noises are loud and I was not given any prior notice about it.
The room door is annoyingly hard to open.
Elevators lack card detectors on both sides; layout is confusing.
Security people are nice, but they do too much frisking of my things and the entrance/exit layout is also confusing. The lobby is too small.
Amenities are lacking, only a gym is available for leisure activities.
Overall, average stay with lots of room for improvement.

UUsuario anónimoTowels and linens need an upgrade, i think they are already overused, no longer original white in color but almost gray and with stains. first hotel i encountered without tissue in the bathroom 😅 food ok, nothing extraordinary. staffs are friendly. jacuzzi makes up as an alternative for swimming pool. electric kettle would be nice with the complementary coffee. Instant coffee for me is better than lukewarm brewed coffee. having designated garage beside the room is a plus point.

UUsuario invitadoI have stayed in the Malayan Plaza many times before and the experiences WERE great, but in my recent stay, there are changes already. Maybe because the bldg was new before when I stayed.
Bad smell as you walk along the alley of 10th floor where my room at. Also bad smell is diffusing in the basement parking. Food is no longer great and many this time.
One thing hasn’t changed, the accommodating staff.

OOreo20Aunque tuvimos un poco de problema con el proceso de inspección (1. la administración no pudo encontrar nuestra reserva inicialmente; 2. se nos dijo que presentaran IDs de vacunación aunque no se indicaba en la información de reserva que es una exigencia. La unidad tenía cocina decente que usamos desde que nos quedamos por 2 noches. En el hotel, el hotel se encuentra en una zona de la ciudad, donde el hotel está cerca de la ciudad, y el hotel está cerca de la ciudad. Eso es lo que esperaba. Sólo espero que fuera viejas pinturas y no del invitado anterior porque sería realmente desconectado. Además, la ubicación estaba en el lugar. Por el precio que pagamos, fue totalmente robado. Sólo espero que la limpieza global de la unidad se mejoraría.
