MMawar MokhtarOur first time at this hotel and had a really nice experience. Spacious room, comfortable double beds (though would still be ideal for 1 pax for each bed),view of the pool and essential amenities included.
Check in smooth and quick with pleasant staff, love the overall ambience of the lobby. There is a bridge link from hotel to cross over to the Setia City Mall which means alot of dining options, shopping and movie cinema etc.
Breakfast buffet is another highlight to which my son and I really enjoyed our time. The Wells Restaurant is spacious, even with good crowd it felt comfortable still moving around at getting our meals for a couple of rounds. Food and beverage variety options was lovely, I loved especially it has 2 different coffee machines:
Starbucks serving it's popular options including coffee machiato, mocha, flat white, espresso etc
Nescafe serving different types of coffee including caramel white coffee, tongkat ali etc.
Aside to this, hot tea selections, cold teas like peach tea, lemon tea, lemonade, pink lemonade, orange juice and fruit lassi's too.
Food includes malay cuisine, chinese cuisine, indian cuisine, western. Salad bar, fresh fruits bar, cheese platter and cold cuts like beef pastrami, smoked duck and chicken slices. Pastries and dessert has alot of variety (western) as well as sweet local malay kuehs.
Facilities like gym (24 hour access) and pool (8am - 7pm).
We will definitely be back again for another staycation.

UUsuario invitadoLove the location, it’s close to the Central I-City Mall, and the city walk is amazing. Room’s clean, great running hot water. There’s a fridge, stove top, sink, microwave and washing machine. There’s one tv in the main bedroom and one in the living room. There’s also air conditioning. You can enjoy amenities like the gym, swimming pool and playground. You can get snacks and salads at the Koffee cafe in the DoubleTree hotel lobby downstairs. Wifi is also fast. Both rooms have wardrobes and they do provide you with hangers. There are utensils in the kitchen for you to use.
The downside is the service is lacking. They ask for your number to send instructions but I never got any. I called several times but they didn’t answer. I had to ask my husband to spam call them and it took a while before they even answered. The guards barely understood my questions and weren’t helpful. The parking path was a bit hidden and there were barely any signs so I kept going in circles and had to make several u turns because I couldn’t find the parking anywhere. Tried to ask the guards and they pointed all over the place and I was super confused. Finding the designated parking space was another issue. Tho they did provide video reference, it was still a hassle. To enter the parking we had to download an app for QR scans to get to the parking . Had to pay extra RM20 per day for parking. From the parking to the elevator then finding the door for the residence was a marathon to say the least. I consider the parking to the residence lobby far. If you’re with kids, I recommend bringing a wagon or a stroller to help with bags and children since it’s a long walk. Another problem is there were no places to hang wet clothes nor were there any dryers. Had to go across the road to the i city park buildings to find a self-service laundry place.
There’s a ton of pros but the cons had me regret choosing a homestay rather than a hotel

HHong Kai Bongthe room is very huge and spacious, i book deluxe twin and got dining area, pantry area, one big office table with lazy chair, as the room is so big that at night i felt like someone is knocking the door outside, and i got a bad dream that night, sleep at 2 am but wake up at 5am with sweat but the air conditioner is working, there is a total of 3 air conditioner in one room.

UUsuario invitadoThe unit is very clean and new, services is excellent, and building is new, pool is sky view very nice, the access to mall also very easy, only parking is quite not convenient as we had paid separately for Rm53 as we checked out. If owner can fix this issue maybe suggest other parking that is more lower charge or anything more great than ever. Thank you for the assist and good unit for our family to stay.

Reservé la misma categoría de habitación que un amigo, pero fueron actualizados al Club mientras yo no estaba, lo que sentía un poco inconsistente en términos de experiencia de huéspedes.
El desayuno estaba muy ocupado, y a las 9:00 horas, la mayoría de las cajas de comida estaban ya cerca de vacíos. El personal del restaurante era proactivo en las placas de limpieza, pero a veces se sentía un poco apurado.

NNFaaaaaaaaHThe staff were friendly, and I really appreciated the complimentary room upgrade — definitely a plus point. The overall cleanliness was average, but acceptable for a budget hotel. However, room security could be improved; the latch key wasn’t functioning, which might raise some safety concerns.
The bed was very comfortable, and I especially liked the soft pillows and cozy comforter. They provided two pillows for a single bed and four for a double bed, which was a very nice touch and made the stay much more comfortable.
The surrounding area felt a bit lonely since it’s located near an industrial zone with not many cars or people around. Parking is available right in front of the building, but it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The reception isn’t available 24 hours, so it’s something to keep in mind for late check-ins or assistance.
Overall, it’s a budget-friendly hotel offering decent comfort and basic amenities.

Wifi limitted to 10~20mbps, quite slow that video call with multiple people will result in low quality experience.
Other than that, location was good as multiple restaurants are nearby. Convenience store is also plenty. Not that noisy.
Parking is just street parking, make sure to pay it through the various e-wallet applications at RM0.64 per hour. Only applicable from 8am~6pm

Trefoil Apartments hit the jackpot with their location! Being right next to Setia City Mall is an incredible advantage. Whether you need groceries, dining options, retail therapy, or just a cool place to escape the heat, everything is literally steps away.
Cleanliness & Condition: The apartment itself was a real highlight – exceptionally clean and very neat. It's clear the host takes great pride in maintaining the space. Everything felt fresh, well-organized, and properly cared for.
The host deserves special praise for being friendly, helpful, and responsive. From clear check-in instructions to being available for any questions during our stay, the service was top-notch. They genuinely seemed to care that we had a good experience, which added a lovely personal touch.
Combining the spotless apartment, the unbeatable convenience of the mall location, and the warm hospitality of the host, our stay at Trefoil Apartments was excellent. It provided the perfect base for exploring Setia Alam or just enjoying a comfortable getaway.

AAshikin FadzilThe unit itself is clean and fully furnished, which I appreciate. However, there are several serious issues that the owner should address before accepting future guests.
1. Air-conditioning issue (major concern)
Please ensure the air-conditioner is properly fixed before hosting guests. During our stay, the unit became extremely hot, especially at night and even worse after sunrise. I was travelling with my elderly parents, and it was honestly uncomfortable and distressing to see them sweating while trying to sleep. This is not a minor inconvenience, it significantly affected our stay.
2. Inadequate cooling for unit size
The unit is spacious, even IF the air-conditioner had been working, one small AC unit is clearly insufficient to cool the entire space. With the AC not functioning properly, the situation became unbearable.
3. Serious bathroom privacy and safety issues
Both bathrooms have critical privacy concerns. One bathroom has a floor-to-ceiling frosted glass window, but one panel has lost its frosting, creating a large clear section where anyone could see someone showering.
The second bathroom has a large unfrosted window near the top, facing the hallway. I personally checked from outside, and it is possible to see clearly into the bathroom.
This is a serious safety and privacy issue, not a cosmetic flaw. These problems should be fixed immediately before allowing any other guests to stay.
4. Deposit amount and payment method
The security deposit is very high, almost equivalent to the rental cost, which already feels unreasonable. What made it worse is that the deposit was required to be transferred outside the booking platform via WhatsApp. The full check-in guide was only release after transfer is made.
One of the main reasons people use trusted platforms like Trip, Agoda, Booking or similar services is for safety and protection on both sides. I had already paid in full through the platform, and all my personal details were available there. Being pressured to transfer a large deposit outside the platform puts guests at unnecessary risk and defeats the purpose of using a secure booking system.
I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously as an opportunity to improve, rather than dismissing it. With proper fixes and more transparent practices, this unit has potential but in its current condition, the experience was disappointing.
