UUsuario anónimoThis was my first time staying at this hotel (chosen because it is top-rated), but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience for me as a business traveller. Apart from the central location, the stay did not meet my expectations.
I booked a double-bed room and requested the second floor with a temple view. The staff informed me that the second floor was fully booked, and even the double-bed rooms were unavailable, so they gave me a twin room (no. 3) and pushed the beds together. The only good part was that the room still had a partial temple view from the window. The room itself was beautifully decorated, but there were no basic amenities such as slippers, toothbrush, razor, or comb unless requested at reception.
I returned to the hotel close to midnight after a long day, only to find the reception closed, no staff available, and no information on how to contact anyone. There was also no in-room phone. I had to walk barefoot on the cold hard floor, could not brush my teeth, and could not request an iron to prepare for my meeting the next morning.
In the morning, staff were still not present at 6:00 AM when I needed toiletries. When they finally arrived, I overheard the housekeeper saying they had run out of stock and that I should “go buy it outside,” which made me feel quite unwelcome as a guest paying a high room rate. The receptionist then repeated the same message without offering any guidance on where to buy items.
Additionally, while the hotel claims to reduce single-use amenities for environmental reasons, they still provide drinking water in plastic bottles instead of glass — something that should be improved.
I would like to compliment the staff member on duty on the morning of the 12th Nov 2025 at around 6:00 AM. I wanted to prepare food for almsgiving, and he kindly gave me helpful advice. He even went to ask a nearby vendor to bring the items I needed so that I could receive the service conveniently. I truly appreciate his assistance and excellent service.
Overall, the lack of essential amenities, poor service availability, and unprofessional attitude made my stay uncomfortable. This will be my first and last stay at this hotel.

CChou LeSatri House – Un museo viviente donde dormir Alojarse aquí es como adentrarse en un hermoso sueño de otra época. Cada rincón es una obra de arte. Los muebles, la distribución, los pequeños detalles… todo evoca historias del encanto de la antigua Indochina. No parece un hotel. Se siente como si uno viviera en una elegante casa histórica. La arquitectura es impresionante, y el jardín y la piscina son simplemente preciosos. Tranquilos, atemporales y con un cuidado esmero. El personal es cálido y genuinamente amable. Usamos las bicicletas del resort para explorar la ciudad, lo que aportó mucha alegría a la experiencia. El desayuno es a la carta, y cada plato estaba delicioso, preparado con esmero, sin prisas. Y, de alguna manera, cada vez que salíamos, volvíamos a una habitación impecablemente limpia. Es el tipo de atención que no se ve a menudo. Satri House no es solo una estancia, es una sensación. Una que no olvidaré.

Some switches has seen better days, switching on / off lights can be confusing, need to try a couple of times to get the right one. Service is good overall, checkout was not as smooth as expected, took a while and printer was not working, couldnt get my invoice printed.

AAzir ChristWe initially booked one week but decided to extend our stay for another week, which already says a lot about our overall experience. While there are certainly some areas that could be improved, we felt comfortable enough to stay longer and would consider returning in the future.
The room was generally clean and offered good value for the price. We especially enjoyed having a terrace and a bathtub, which made our stay more relaxing (also for our cat). However, some attention to detail in housekeeping and maintenance would make a noticeable difference. For example, spider webs, dust around ventilation areas, and air-conditioning units should be cleaned more regularly. In our room (#13), the air-conditioner was heavily clogged with dust when we arrived, to the point where the cooling performance was noticeably reduced. We politely mentioned this to the staff, and to their credit, the issue was addressed immediately. We were very grateful for their quick response. Since then, the unit has worked much better. There is still a slight musty smell, so a professional deep cleaning of the air-conditioning systems once or twice a year would likely improve both air quality and guest comfort.
One thing we appreciated throughout our stay was the willingness of the staff to help whenever a problem was brought to their attention. Requests were handled quickly and professionally, which is one of the reasons we decided to extend our booking. As digital nomads, reliable internet and a functional workspace are very important to us. The internet connection was stable and fast enough for our daily work, often reaching download speeds of around 8–12 MB/s. We also received a chair and an extension cable upon request, allowing us to comfortably use the large dresser as a workspace for our laptops. This was greatly appreciated!
The location is another strong point. Two large supermarkets are within a short walking distance, making it easy to buy groceries and daily necessities. The Night Market is also easily reachable on foot, and the main road is just around the corner, where electric scooters can usually be found for exploring Luang Prabang. If we could suggest one improvement, it would simply be a warmer atmosphere from some members of the staff. A smile is never mandatory, of course, but it often makes guests feel more welcome. We would like to give special recognition to the evening receptionist, who consistently greeted us with a friendly smile and positive attitude. Her kindness always stood out and left a very positive impression.
Overall, we believe this hotel offers fair value for money, a convenient location, reliable internet, and a team that genuinely tries to help when issues arise. For those reasons, we chose to extend our stay and would recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable base in Luang Prabang.

XXinghuobuduanlvyoubutingEl hotel que reservé antes estaba completo, por lo que el ama de llaves de Ctrip me ayudó a cambiar el hotel y lo actualizó a una habitación con vista al río. En comparación con los hoteles de la carretera principal, este lugar es realmente más tranquilo y tan remoto que hay que caminar más de 15 minutos para llegar a las principales atracciones del Museo Nacional. Después de ver la puesta de sol en la montaña Puxi, bajé la montaña del sur, miré el mapa y caminé durante media hora sin encontrar el camino de regreso. Y en la habitación con vista al río, es evidente que las motocicletas, los automóviles y, especialmente, los camiones recolectores de basura pueden despertarlo en la habitación por la noche a las 11 p. m. (12 p. m., hora de China). Toda la casa tiene muebles de madera nostálgicos. No importa en qué habitación se abra la ventana, se oye un crujido. No hay cortinas, por lo que es súper brillante incluso si quieres tomar una siesta durante el día. La única ventaja es que el jefe está muy entusiasmado y puede ayudarle a reservar un autobús a Spectrum Falls y a la estación de tren de alta velocidad. Su inglés es muy bueno.

FFeixueEl hotel está situado en una pequeña cuna del río Mekong, pero puede estacionar, caminar hasta el río Mekong hasta cinco minutos, y es conveniente comer y comprar bienes de vida alrededor. La ubicación del hotel es tranquila y confortable cama y habitaciones son muy limpias.

UUsuario invitadoEl hotel es muy económico y recién inaugurado, sin ningún olor. Mi primera estancia fue una experiencia muy buena. Me alegró mucho ver la comida en la entrada al despertarme. Era mi primera vez aquí y el dueño nos lo recomendó. Se puede ver mucha comida justo en la puerta, lo cual es muy bueno. El hotel también tiene piscina, un desayuno abundante y es muy tranquilo. Recomiendo encarecidamente la parrilla de salchichas y tocino del hotel.
