En primer lugar, la ubicación del hotel era excelente. Había un 7-Eleven justo afuera del vestíbulo, y justo enfrente estaban el distrito comercial Ximen, una farmacia y un Family Mart, lo que lo convertía en un lugar ideal para salir y divertirse.
Sin embargo, había un aspecto negativo: las condiciones sanitarias del hotel. La habitación que nos asignaron originalmente tenía moscas muertas en el baño y en la cama, e incluso había algunas moscas volando y posadas en las paredes. No me gustan mucho los insectos, así que le pedí a mi esposo taiwanés que se quejara en el vestíbulo y conseguimos otra habitación del mismo tipo. Sin embargo, esa habitación seguía teniendo basura en el suelo y el baño olía un poco a moho. Volví a quejarme, pero me dijeron que no había otras habitaciones disponibles, así que desistí.

The location of this hotel is right in between Ximen station and Taipei station. It’s about 8 mins walk each way. There is another nearer station NTU hospital of about 6 mins walk.
The room is big with one king bed and one single bed which can accommodate 3 pax.
The toilet is huge! It comes with 2 sinks, one toilet, one bathtub and one shower area with lots of space. One of the biggest toilets I have seen and comparable size to suite hotel toilets.
The amenities was basic with toiletries (hand wash, shower and shampoo).
They also provide coffee, tea, snacks, fridge and a kettle. You will need to refill the water at the reception level or another floor. They provide hot, warm and cold water.
You can also go to the reception floor to enjoy the coffee, tea and snacks there with tables and chairs.
Only shortfall is they only provide cleaning once in the 5 days stays and there is no room slippers.
Overall, it’s an enjoyable stay and no complaints for this price.
The room is overall clean and spacious.

Very good location near to Taipei MRT station. The hotel is on the 5th floor. The bed was comfy. The only issue, there is no where to hang your jackets or clothes - very strange and so inconvenient. Even if there is some hooks on the wall is better than nothing. The bathroom is clean. There are many famous eateries as it is in the perimeter on ximending.

Está en una zona muy concurrida de Taipei, junto al metro de Ximen. Realmente bien comunicado. La habitación es amplia y agradable. Con armario y refrigerador para la fruta y las bebidas. Muy bien. Las habitaciones estaban limpias. Fui con una amiga y mi novio y teníamos dos habitaciones separadas. Una estaba en el tercer piso y tenía bañera, pero la suya estaba en el sexto piso y no tenía. El precio no era muy caro. El personal hablaba inglés. El alojamiento está en la zona peatonal de Ximending, muy conveniente y fácil de recorrer. También está cerca de lugares populares para tomar fotos.

There are 3 convenient stores nearby, which is good.
Since the beginning of 2025, hotels in Taiwan won't provide amenities, so the convenient store can be used to purchase any if you need them.
Drop-off and Pick-up in the area is slightly askew, do be careful as it's beside the traffic light.
Counters for check-in are locate at level 3, The room is a good size; I'm able to open my luggage fully. However, the walls are slightly thin, so neighboring up or side rooms closing doors or accidental bumps are heard from time to time.
The bathroom has a separated toilet (with bidet), bathing, and bathtub.
The concierge folks are friendly and able to store luggage to return for collection on the last day.

UUsuario invitado1. Misleading Entrance Signage
Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable.
2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance
When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside?
3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior
After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues.
As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight.
We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of:
- Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance
- Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival
- Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior
We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future.

No hay nada de qué quejarse. Ubicación conveniente, habitaciones con todo lo necesario, y en recepción hay un dispensador de agua en el suelo. Se recomienda que la puerta de la habitación tenga una mirilla y una cadena antirrobo.

Hay un restaurante de fideos con carne al lado; es fácil pasarlo por alto si no se presta atención. La habitación tiene baño privado. Suele estar bastante vacío por las noches. Mucha gente lo usa antes de la salida por la mañana. También hay baños y duchas en el exterior. La habitación está limpia, pero los pasillos y las zonas comunes están un poco desordenados. PPablo YoonEl hotel está muy bien ubicado, cerca de las principales atracciones. El barrio de Ximending está a unos 10 minutos andando, donde puedes encontrar mucha movida, bares, restaurantes, tiendas de ropa etc.
La habitación es básica y funcional, con un aire acondicionado potente que es muy importante en Taipéi con el calor que hace. La presión de ducha está bien y la cama es bastante cómoda. En líneas generales está bien, solo que el proceso de checkin podría ser un poco mejor. En el lobby te dejaban esperando hasta las 15:30 puntuales que es el horario del check in. A lo mejor si fueran dando las habitaciones apenas las van teniendo, no se les acumularía tanta gente en la recepción e incluso sería más eficiente para los recepcionistas, ya que a partir de las 15:30 ya se los veía un poco agobiados.
Nos dejaron dejar la maleta una noche ya que viajamos a Jiufen para pasar la noche allí, por lo que eso suma un punto a favor. Volveremos para nuestros últimos días de viaje.
