Es un hotel con una decoración e instalaciones bastante antiguas, pero al llegar al lobby del piso 66 para hacer el check-in, la vista al mar a través de los ventanales te deja sin aliento. El joven que nos atendió en el check-in fue muy amable y proactivo al presentarnos el hotel y las instalaciones de la habitación. La ubicación es bastante conveniente, está muy cerca de la estación de metro de Donggang, y justo al salir puedes ir a la orilla del mar a alimentar gaviotas. También está muy cerca y es muy conveniente para visitar atracciones populares como la Fuente Musical de Donggang, la Ciudad del Agua de Venecia y el punto de interés de la Calle Donggang Wu Jie. No es necesario ir a los lugares más concurridos para hacer fotos; por la mañana, desde el hotel, también se pueden ver grandes barcos desde la orilla del mar. Sentarse en un café junto al mar y contemplar las vistas es muy relajante. La suite de dos dormitorios es ideal para familias con niños, es bastante espaciosa y tiene cocina y nevera, lo que permite preparar algunas comidas. La limpieza también fue oportuna; cada día, al regresar a la habitación, ya estaba limpia y ordenada. Habiendo dicho lo bueno, ahora hablemos de los inconvenientes durante nuestra estancia: 1. El primer día, durante la limpieza, tiraron uno de mis lentes de contacto. Afortunadamente, tenía un par de repuesto, de lo contrario, habría estado ”ciego” durante tres días en Dalian. Cuando el departamento de relaciones con los huéspedes llamó para preguntar sobre nuestra experiencia, dijeron que era porque no los había guardado en un estuche para lentes, sino en su caja desechable original. Pero esas no son razones válidas para tirar las pertenencias de un huésped. 2. Los dos baños compartían un calentador de agua con tanque. Aunque nos lo advirtieron al registrarnos, para un grupo de cuatro personas que volvía al hotel después de un día de actividades, tener que esperar por el agua para ducharse no fue una buena experiencia. Además, la temperatura de la ducha en el dormitorio principal fluctuaba entre muy fría y muy caliente, ¡hasta hizo llorar a la niña! Luego me explicaron que era porque no se podía usar agua en otros lugares al mismo tiempo que se duchaba. Nadie nos lo advirtió al hacer el check-in, lo que lo hace muy inconveniente. Es decir, aunque tienes dos duchas, no se pueden usar al mismo tiempo. 3. Los primeros dos días no era necesario usar la tarjeta de la habitación para subir en el ascensor, pero de repente, al tercer día, nos dijeron que se requería la tarjeta de la habitación para subir, ¡y nuestra tarjeta no funcionaba en el ascensor! Tuvimos que ir al lobby del piso 66 para que nos hicieran una nueva tarjeta. Nos informaron que habían cancelado el uso de la tarjeta para el ascensor los dos días anteriores debido a la gran afluencia de gente. Esto presenta un riesgo de seguridad, ¿no? Después del check-out, un empleado del departamento de relaciones con los huéspedes llamó para preguntar sobre nuestra experiencia, lo que demuestra que les importa la experiencia del huésped. Pero cuando terminé de contar los tres puntos anteriores, no recibí ningún comentario ni medida correctiva, así que, ¿solo estabas aquí para escuchar mis quejas? Jajaja.

It's very difficult to find. The reception is on the 15th floor, you can't go up without a key. But very friendly staff, helped.

Cean room, spacious and had a balcony. Facilities wise had all you needed. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be eaten at the hotel. Lots of music things displayed around the hotel. First time in a Hard Rock Venue for me so was quite nice and surprising the amount of music on display. All staff was friendly and attentive. 

¡Este hotel nos pareció extremadamente agradable! Gran parte del personal hablaba inglés y no hubo estrés para comunicar lo que necesitábamos. El interior y el exterior son hermosos. Los buffets de desayuno y cena eran muy sabrosos. ¡El mejor desayuno buffet que hemos tenido en China hasta ahora! La única mejora sería el olor de la ropa de cama de la habitación. Olía un poco a polvo.

Absolutely worth every penny! I can sum up my stay in one word: exceptional value. The room was very spacious with a million-dollar view, all at a very friendly price. There is a washing machine in the room, and hot water was not an issue at all during winter. Just a small tip: avoid showering while the washing machine is running, as it seems to draw the hot water away. At first, I thought there was a food warmer or stove, but this room does not have one. However, the staff kindly allowed us to use the microwave at the office. The host was incredibly helpful and always replied very quickly on WeChat — so fast that I honestly wondered if they ever slept! 😄 The bedding was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was smooth and flexible; we could easily request cleaning or refills on the days we needed them. If there is one area for improvement, I would suggest renovating some details, such as repainting areas where the paint is peeling and re-sealing the sink edges and other parts of the bathroom. There was a slight cigarette smell in the room, but it really depends on how sensitive you are. For us, opening the window for ventilation or using a spray solved the issue easily. Some noise from other areas was noticeable, as there is a gym on the same floor, and during our stay it was New Year’s, so there were some party noises. That said, this can happen anywhere and is not something the property can fully control. Getting there was easy — we took a taxi directly to the hotel address. Check-in is on the 23rd floor, Room 19, where they provide the room number and access code. Wi-Fi is available, and only a passport is needed for registration. For check-out, simply notify them via WeChat. Around the hotel, there are a few small local eateries within walking distance, though we did not notice a convenience store nearby. Overall, I would rate this place excellent. I’m not judging it by hotel star standards, but by value for money — and what we received was far beyond what we paid for. Highly recommended!

This is an instagrammable hotel that offers quality service. From checking in to checking out you will be assisted by the staff. There is an open beach a few steps away with 2-3 cafe shops. One of them is Caan. The buffet breakfast offers delicious western and Chinese breakfast. The rooms are nicely designed with a balcony overlooking the beach. Snacks and drinks are also offered for free including a welcome fruit plate. Toiletries are of quality and smells really good. Japanese toilet is another plus! The bed and pillows are all comfortable. They also offer activities like boat and paddle board riding. If u need help with anything including attractions to see, they have a wechat account and they respond quick. I highly recommend this place if you want a more quiet place to stay. And of course the private beach front setup is so relaxing and offers a great view both day and night!

El hotel está perfectamente ubicado justo al lado del metro, lo que facilita los desplazamientos. Nos alojamos en una habitación ejecutiva, que era espaciosa, luminosa y con vistas excelentes. La ropa de cama era cómoda, ni demasiado blanda ni demasiado dura, lo que ayudó a aliviar la fatiga del viaje. El personal de recepción que nos hizo el check-in fue muy atento, se tomó la molestia de ayudarnos a cambiar de habitación, ¡y por eso quiero expresar mi agradecimiento! Lástima que no sé su nombre 🌝. El servicio del lounge ejecutivo fue atento y la variedad de comida excelente. ¡Gracias, Fiona y Amy! Finalmente, un agradecimiento especial a Vivien del Centro de Atención al Huésped por su amable ayuda. Olvidé algunas pertenencias en la habitación después del check-out y ella me ayudó activamente a encontrarlas y me las envió por correo. ¡Gracias de nuevo! 🌹🌹🌹 La próxima vez que venga a Dalian, volveré a elegir el Intercontinental.

This hotel's location is genuinely brilliant, right in the city centre next to the Zhongshan subway and plaza, and for this price point, you really can't ask for better. The staff were friendly and helpful despite the language barrier (Google Translate sorted us out fine), and the cleaning team were lovely too. The room was decent and properly clean, I checked for dust and there wasn't any. However, the hotel is quite old, and there was some mould on the ceiling and in the bathroom and shower curtain. It didn't bother me personally, but worth noting, and a bit of spray would be great. That said, Dalian was incredibly humid when I visited in late August, so I suspect this is partly a climate issue. Even my own towels wouldn't dry properly. The place was quite busy, mainly Chinese customers, but they were quiet and discreet. Practical bits: they provide two bottles of water daily and disposable paper towels (which actually came in handy given the humidity). The room also had a washing machine (bring your own detergent) and you can hang clothes outside on the 9th floor veranda. There's a bus stop right outside with direct services to Xian Lu (shopping and basement food market) and the Transport University area night market, the subway goes straight to the airport, and you're walking distance from the main tourist spots like Russian Street, the old tram etc. Plenty of restaurants nearby too. And two convenience stores on ground floor. This place accepts foreign tourists and check-in was quick and easy. Internet was fast but slower in the evenings. Honestly, some of the complaints I've read here seem a bit harsh considering what you're paying. You get what you pay for, and at this price point in this location, I think it's fair value. I'd stay here again, especially if travelling on a budget. Thank you, we had a lovely time in Dalian!

It felt less like a transaction and more like being welcomed into a well-managed home. The facilities were equally impressive and clearly designed with guest comfort and convenience in mind. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully appointed, blending modern amenities with a sense of comfort. The common areas, from the lobby lounge to the fitness center and pool, were maintained to a high standard, offering beautiful and functional spaces to relax or rejuvenate. Attention to detail was evident everywhere, contributing to an atmosphere of refined relaxation. As for the food, it was a highlight of the experience. Dining was a pleasure, with a menu that offered both classic favorites and inventive dishes. The ingredients were fresh and of high quality, each meal was beautifully presented, and the flavors were consistently excellent. It was clear that the culinary team takes great pride in their craft, making every meal something to look forward to. In summary, my experience was outstanding across the board. The impeccable service, superior facilities, and delightful cuisine combined to create a perfect stay. I left feeling thoroughly refreshed and already looking forward to the next opportunity to return. This establishment has truly mastered the art of hospitality.
