Airport A4 Transit Hub - Eco Chalets

We needed a short transit hotel close to Colombo Airport and this place is ideal. FREE pickup / drop off to airport, the kindest / funniest and hospitable owner in Terin. Rooms have aircon / private bathrooms, cannot recommend highly enough for a budget place to stay run by well meaning honest people.

If I could give 10 stars I would. We stayed there for our last day in Sri Lanka and chose this place mainly because it was close to the airport and offers a free transfer. What we got was so much more! The owner and the entire staff are amazing and are amongst the sweetest people we’ve ever met. Right from the arrival we were greeted by a cold complimentary beer, then we shared stories, we learnt to play a local game, and we chilled in the little swimming pool. The rooms are super clean, peaceful, and very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were great with the company of the sweetest little kitten. Note that if you’re looking for a first place to rest upon arrival, this place gets even better as the owner will provide you with all the advice you need to know before starting your journey across Sri Lanka. While a lot of establishments are pushing to sell extra services, the people at A4 truly have at heart to make your first and/or last day in Sri Lanka a memorable one and to make sure you know how to do it properly. As someone who has worked in the tourism industry for years I can truly say the owner here is passionate about just delivering amazing service!

We decided to book one night at this place, as our flight didnt go until 2:55 in the night. We drove from Colombo and arrived around 14. we got welcomed by a very kind man, who gave us advice what to do in Negombo. Our plan was actually to just sleep some hours before our plane was leaving, but since we first came here early we did stroll around in negombo. Couldnt really sleep, as it was in the midle of the day and also you could hear the flights flying above you. The rom was small, but had the must necesary stuff. We did find time to relax at this hotel. Would recomend!

This was the best service and welcome I have ever had at any hotel. The rate is very affordable, and on booking you are immediately offered a free transfer back and forth to the airport. A regular taxi is expensive from the airport, so this is a huge help. They will come and collect you any time day or night. I was welcomed like family and they truly understand what's most important in the middle of the night, complete with jet lag.... You're offered a drink, given the WiFi code (good strong WiFi), and a snack. The chalets are simple, but everything you need - good hot water shower, fast a/c, securely locking doors and a clean bed. In the morning, I was given a free SIM card with instructions on how to top it up, and a free breakfast. Also help in arranging my trip onwards. I was so impressed that I booked a night a week later, when I was flying back out of Colombo. The rooms are not fancy, but the friendly, efficient welcome, the immediate rapport with guests and the understanding of what's needed are exceptional. I cannot rate them highly enough!

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. This place is a national treasure and should be the start and end of everyone’s stay in Sri Lanka. The owner has thought of everything to ensure your trip starts off on the right foot. He has sim cards, cold welcome beer, free airport transport, good advice, and comfy individual chalets. Thanks for everything, your hospitality and attention to detail are unmatched!

100% recommend ! I searched everywhere, reading lots of reviews to look for accommodation for a one night short stay near the airport. I come across this accommodation and could only see good reviews. This place is run by the most genuine and kindest Sri Lankan man who went above and beyond to help us. As soon as we booked I whatsapped him some queries and he voice noted me back almost straight away helping us research the best bus to get to the accommodation and even offering to pick us up if we could get a bus to the airport. When we arrived we were given welcome drinks and cold water straight away. He was so warm and welcoming! He was also very open and honest about Sri Lanka in general & gave us good tips particularly in regards to taxis. He dropped us to the airport at 4:40 in the morning which also comes included with the accommodation price.. This made everything so much easier for us which is what he's all about. He then offered to either cook us food or to take us to the local restaurant. We decided to stay at the accommodation and try their food rather than eating out again. We had chicken rice & a veggie kotthu - it was delicious - best Kotthu I had all trip! Everything was so fresh and the portions were so big. They even then picked us some home grown Passionfruit & banana for dessert which was also amazing. With two drinks also this was all for less than £6. The accommodation itself is quirky and nothing like I've seen in Sri Lanka. Its very clean and has all the essentials needed. Each hut has a bathroom & toilet and are fully equipped with Aircon (which is unusual for such a cheap price ). For a basic accomodation, with a comfortable bed , clean facilities/bedding, Aircon, no mosquitos & extremely friendly & helpful staff this accommodation ticks all the boxes :)

Amazing staff and host. Welcome beer and water, the breakfast is very delicious! Rooms are great very comfy beds and the WIFI is the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka Free airport transfer when book here too which is great as you don’t deal with any of the taxi scams. VERY HAPY!
