Sandpiper Villas Chobe

Neat and easy. Unfortunately, you will have to pay separate for your coffee with the breakfast included. The coffee at 35Pula was not good at all. The aircon in the room was not up for the job as in Feb it was very hot. WIFI only at reception and nothing in the rooms

The room is very clean and spacious with kitchen facilities and an outdoor sitting area. The property is located very close to a supermarket, bank, and a Nandos, so you practically have everything you may need. We arranged a game drive and a boat cruise through the lodge with a very reasonable price and both were excellent. Staff was wonderful, accommodating early check in and late check out for us and even took us to the airport to pick up our rental car.

The cleaning standard have dropped since been there in July 2023 to our recent stay in December 2023. No replenishing of amenities(e.g. toilet paper and others) anymore which should be a standard for every hotel/lodge. Basically the stay felt different to our initial visit and we chose to stay there because of the great experience we got in July 2023.

The place is nice... The accomodation was good.. the only issue we found was that the electricity went out in our unit 2 times in 2 days at night and there was no one at the reception to complain to... the reception office should be open full time or atleast till 10 pm. Other than that it is a highly recomended place for a family...

We absolutely loved our stay at Sandpiper Villa! From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service made us feel right at home. The villa itself was beautiful, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We can't wait to visit again!

On the road from Kazungula to Kasane, 4km before Kasane proper, the Sandpiper Villas are your perfect choice as a place to stay when visiting Chobe national park. Choose the riverside housing – confusingly called villas on their webpage. Not beautiful on the outside the 2 grey buildings contain 4 2-bedroom apartments each. They are very comfortable family units with a direct view on the Chobe river. Watch the birds and the hippos and the rare fishing canoe on the opposite (Namibia) shore. ATM's at the gas station and at the Shoprite mall, both just a couple minutes’ walk away. Nandy's chicken restaurant is also very conveniently near. Sandpiper villas feature a restaurant though the menu is very limited: Pizza at lunchtime, grilled steak or chicken in the evening. Note that for beer, wine, and stronger drinks you need to go to Tops at Spar in Kasane, 4 km away. A small pool near the reception was the children's delight. We stayed for 6 days – 2 adults, 2 kids. We had no car, and relied on taxis and Safari trucks. Transport was no problem.
