This is a lovely hotel, run by really lovely, friendly, helpful people. I stayed there earlier this month, and would recommend it to anyone. It's in a beautifully restored "shop-house" and is extremely clean, with big, comfortable beds. The food is good too.

We spent 2 nights here, and its a really beautiful place. I cant imagine that there is a better place to stay at in Kampot. The colonial building is beautiful and furnished with a lot of love for details. On the first night, I was a bit unlucky (hence only 4 stars) as the ac in my room didnt work (and it was extremely hot). I moved to another room, with a functioning ac, and ended up staying there. That was okay, but the first room was definitely better.... However, the owner or manager of the hotel was extremely friendly and kind, as was the whole staff. Breakfast was really good, and we got a really nice & still warm brownie on the afternoon. Should I return to Kampot, I would definitely stay here again.

We spent two nights here whilst travelling around Cambodia. It’s a lovely, well located period hotel in the old town with friendly staff who were really helpful both with recommendations and in organising transport for a day trip. Breakfasts were made to order and were excellent!

We stayed her for three nights after looking at tripadvisor reviews which rated it highly. Thavy the manager of the hotel was able to arrange a taxi pickup from Sihanoukville airport, which was excellent (apart from 20km of the journey which was on an unmade road 😂, this all added to the experience) Thavy was able to help us with all our travel queries and bookings. All the staff were wonderful and the a la carte Breakfasts were excellent. Rooms were air conditioned with a plentiful supply of hot water, with a fridge which was great to keep cold drinks in, just 50m away from the centre of Kampot and in a quiet side street. I can thoroughly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The hotel is well-located, and within walking distance to local restaurants, the riverfront etc. The rooms are immaculately clean with all the needed creature comforts. The breakfast is delicious with a lovely variety and the muffins and mini energy bites which are made in-house are simply the best. We enjoyed it so much that we bought extra for our flight back to South Africa! A real treat! Thavy and her all lady staff complement are truly amazing. So helpful, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. It was a lovely stay at this gem of a hotel.

Centrally located boutique hotel on quieter side street and close to action in Kampot. Reception is attentive. On-site staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are good sized with nice amenties including safe, AC, bottled water and coffee. Bathroom is large with separate area for dressing sink in bedroom. My room had small window facing back and was darker (not a problem). Walk-up with luggage assistance offered. Set menu breakfast with good coffee in lobby/dining area. Doors lock at 11 pm with after hours entry by phone. Walkable to city center and riverside. Plenty of restaurants, bars and convenience stores nearby. Easy check-out. No pool or gym.

The manager who I fail to remember his name could not have been more attentive and friendly. He helped with everything from recommendations of restaurants and bars to helping organise tuk this and day trips. The breakfast was delicious! We had adjoining rooms which were at the back so we had no view but they were clean and comfortable and cool. We only stayed two nights but I can’t fault the hotel.

From the outside the Columns is pretty basic (we arrived from Raffles Hotel in Phnom Penh to as a comparison - pretty basic). However the Columns proved to be an excellent base in Kampot. The rooms are pretty “tight on space” - you have to juggle your luggage and bend you head to stand alongside the bed. However the whole hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are made-to-order - and served efficiently. I think the hotel is family run and owned - this reflects into the service level. The rooms are upstairs which are also a little narrow (no lift) - but reception were immediate in their assistance to take the luggage to the room (and back). Easy to recommend and good value for money

Lovely boutique style hotel set in quiet street. The owners are so friendly & accommodating. Breakfast is yummy, plentiful & so fresh. Only down side is the bathroom facilities are literally in the bedroom making privacy an issue & the key system means the air conditioning is turned off when ever you the leave the room making it v hot on returning.
