Asfiya Sea View Hotel

Our biggest complaint is that the hotel is very poor value for money. We were paying four star prices for three star accommodation. The whole place is in need of repair and maintenance. The sunbeds were literally falling to pieces, the mattresses on the sun beds had holes in them, most of the sun umbrellas were tatty. Whilst we were there a step on the ladder into the pool came away. We raised several complaints about the lack of hot water. For the first week we were there we could not have a hot shower when we wanted. After complaining to reception several times we even tried sending an email to the manager but still got no response. We were told that the manager had tried to contact us but obviously not very hard, as we were in the hotel most of the day in question. One evening there was no hot water in the whole hotel. Again there was no response by way of an explanation or apology from the management. The swimming pool was very disappointing, one pool wall was covered in co**** pebble dash which you had to be aware of at all times, it was also not very deep for swimming in. We are definitely at a loss to understand the good reviews other guests give this hotel in view of the amount of refurbishment required to bring it up to a reasonable standard and to justify the rates charged. The hotel has great potential being in an ideal location, with wonderful views, spacious rooms and lovely staff.

This was our first visit to Asfiya Sea View hotel and we were not disappointed. The hotel has the most amazing views across the bay and is perfectly located for walking down to the harbour and into town; there is a shady walk way with steps a short distance from the hotel, which takes approximately 10 minutes. The rooms were spacious and bright, with ample hanging space and drawers. The shower was separate from the toilet and wash basin, which was convenient when two people are getting ready to go out in the evenings. The ground floor rooms had direct access to the pool, the first and second floor rooms had a larger balcony with seating and a coffee table; all rooms had a sea or pool view. Breakfast was good, there was plenty of fresh fruit, nuts, yoghurt, cheeses, cooked meat and bread, you could also order a freshly cooked omelette which my husband did most mornings. We had lunch at the hotel a couple of times, which was beautifully presented and of a very high standard. The staff work hard keeping the hotel and its grounds clean and tidy, but most of all they are extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed going back to the hotel bar each night thanks to Selcuk, the bar and restaurant manager, he really was the life and soul of the hotel (and yes, he does look like a young George Clooney)! Sadly Selcuk had to leave suddenly before the end of our stay for personal reasons; it just wasn't the same without him there. Kalkan is a fabulous place with cobbled streets, rooftop restuarants and cocktail bars galore, all of a very high standard. We hope to go back in 2024.

We have stayed at this hotel many times since it opened but think our most recent visit will be our last. We had a pool room but there was a lack of attention to the decking area with loose boards, raised nails and the sun beds were decidedly rickety. The bathroom had a lot of black mould and the room cleaning standards were poor. The breakfast offering was disappointing in comparison to previous years. We also noticed guests ordering fresh orange and speciality coffee but this was not publicised or communicated. Lunch and dinner service was generally good but some wines advertised weren’t avaialable as advertised. Reception had turned into a cat haven which was off putting although reception staff were friendly. This hotel needs some TLC and urgent inves**ent.

Very much enjoyed our stay here on our first visit to Kalkan. Met many couples who have visited the area on multiple occasions, and can see why they come back time after time. Such a beautiful location with a lovely ambiance. The hotel staff were attentive, but not "in your face" and helpful whenever needed. Lovely pool and sunbeds, rooms clean an tidy and decent size, proximity to town and harbour very comfortable. Will certainly be re-visiting Kalkan, and would be more than happy to stay at the Asifya Sea View again.

Absolutely loved staying here. The staff can’t do enough for you. Rooms are clean and one day they even made the towels into little elephants and gave us flowers. Breakfast is great especially the freshly made omelettes. Comfiest sunbeds EVER! Easy walk into town (although steep), and fantastic lunch / dinner at the hotel if you don’t want to go out. Free entry to Yali beach club which we used most days. Looking forward to booking again soon

We visited this hotel for lunch and dinner numerous times on our recent trip to Kalkan. Excellent staff and service, they go out of their way to provide a lovely experience to their guests, whether staying with them or not. Highly recommend!

This is very good. First time visit to Kalkan; the location is ideal (short walk to town) great views and the pool, bar area is very attractive. The rooms are pleasant and the staff excellent. One of the waiters (according to my wife) looks like George Clooney - he was great. Kalkan boasts a plethora of excellent restaurants but we at the hotel and the food is top class

I love this hotel. Our second time, first being in 2019. Not much has changed, apart from the staff, who are outstanding, particularly Cerchuk and Mehmet. Nothing was too much trouble, and we enjoyed their company very much. It is a very relaxing place, rooms are a decent size, beds comfortable and aircon quite good, if a bit slow to cool down the room. Elif on reception is lovely and very helpful, always smiling. We didn't do too much eating at the hotel, there are just so many good places to eat in town, which is a ten minute walk away. Hotel has a lovely pool area with the most comfortable sunbeds ever. Its not a super deluxe 5 star hotel, instead its a friendly, comfortable and ultra relaxing place to stay with all the attractions of Kalkan (restaurants, bars, fantastic handbag shopping) on your doorstep.. Small suggestion - have hand sanitiser at the breakfast buffet and get some Kraken rum behind the bar. Thanks again, we'll be back! x

The hotel has a lovely location with a great view overlooking the bay and a short walk to the centre of Kalkan. The rooms are very nice and spacious with a sea view. All staff were very friendly and attentive, we were looked after very well. Would highly recommend this hotel.
