The Grayhaven Motel

This restored roadside motel is a gem. I stayed in Cottage 9 with my buddy dog, Blue. The room was replete with special touches such as s’mores fixings, a turntable for the vintage vinyl collection, and the crispest, cleanest sheets I’ve ever enjoyed. The bed was incredibly comfortable too. The living room even had a healthy live spider plant on the desk. Everything was just perfect. Don’t expect new-millenium features when you arrive; the rooms were restored as close to original as possible. The crowning touch for this unique property are the abundant and colorful gardens surrounding fun-oriented outdoor game and sitting areas that are carefully arranged for both family fun and quiet reflection as well. So, go and Enjoy!

We stayed one night in cottage #10. Very retro cute and clean, comfy bed, good pillows, lots of towels and a kitchen with everything you need. Only improvement would be a normal height toilet for taller people. We would stay again even if just to eat Italian at Mercato - sit at the bar, excellent meal.

Adorable, updated roadside motel. Everything was clean and decorated simply yet boutique style. Communication with the owners was easy from reservations on. Would recommend for location right up against beautiful Buttermilk Falls State Park....Sadie our golden doodle agrees...amazingly dog friendly with a dog treat upon arrival! adorable, blue, gray and black tiled bathroom and very very comfortable beds! Will definitely stay here again!

We just returned from a lovely two night stay. Our king room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The property is absolutely gorgeous with planters and plantings all around the property. Thank you, Gretchen! This is a well managed establishment. Everyone on staff is kind, gracious, and helpful. Starting off our day with delicious coffee and healthy breakfast offerings was a true bonus. We have been home for under four hours, and we are already planning a return trip. Do not hesitate to make a reservation.

My stay at the hotel was really cozy, it was more than I expected. The room offers everything you need, the decoration is very nice. You have quick access to Ithaca and at the same time to many natural places. Also the hospitality of the owners was very friendly.

Traveling with an injured puppy makes for a stressful time! The staff here were wonderful! Great location and amenities. I highly recommend “upgrading” to a kitchen unit- we found everything we needed for our comfort. A special thanks to everyone who made our trip so great!

We had a great stay at the Grayhaven Motel! Very easy contactless check-in and we really appreciated the complimentary dog treat and s’mores kit we got upon arrival! Friendly people all around as well and great birdwatching right outside our window! Would highly recommend to those with pets!

There’s really not enough good things I can say about this one of a kind place! This was one of the most comfortable and relaxing stays I’ve ever had anywhere and I can see why they’re always booked up. The Grayhaven is authentic, super quaint and tenderly cared for. I’m someone with super high standards for cleanliness and comforts and this place truly impressed me. My partner and I spent the weekend in Ithaca for a concert and some outdoor autumnal exploration and this place was SO conveniently located to everything we wanted to see and do, literally just minutes away from so much magic. The staff were all genuinely kind and my partner really nerded out over the complimentary local coffee, granola, yogurt and maple syrup offered at breakfast hours. We were also able to enjoy a full moon bonfire right outside our cottage with the complimentary firewood and s’mores kits provided (super thoughtful, thank you!) The property itself is also incredibly charming, with bright flowers, great landscaping, plus there are also some enjoyable walking trails directly behind you. The whole vibration of this motel is so solid and we are already really looking forward to our next stay. Thanks for helping to give us an unforgettable and super relaxing Halloween weekend!!

We had such a nice stay here! Booked an overnight stay and arrived early for a show in the evening at the State Theatre of Ithaca. We had just enough time to check out a local waterfall hike with our 3-year old pup Charlie beforehand thanks to the perfect location. Oh, and the “Welcome” treat was such a cute (and delicious from what I could tell, ha) surprise! I’ve already recommended this motel to friends and we’ll surely be back ourselves!!
