La habitación es muy nueva, con hervidor de agua, secador de pelo, zapatillas y toallas de papel. Es raro en Europa tener artículos desechables. Está a 500 metros de la estación de metro y a cinco minutos a pie.

Absolutely loved my stay. Perfectly located with tons to do nearby. Check-in was a breeze, and my room was sleek, modern, and packed with all the essentials. For the price, it’s a steal! Just a heads up – there's a construction site next door, but don’t let that stop you. Highly recommend this gem!

Last year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment. Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately. The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied. The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too. Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out. The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.

Muy bueno, muy limpio. Hay taquillas debajo de las camas que se pueden cerrar con tu propio candado. El único inconveniente es que mi amigo y yo nos quedamos en este hostal en dos ocasiones (con un día de por medio) y en ambas la recepción nos asignó las camas número 1 y 2. La ubicación de estas camas es terrible para la privacidad: están justo al lado de la puerta, lo que significa que al abrirla, la cama es lo primero que se ve. Incluso pregunté a otros huéspedes de la habitación y a nadie le gustaba esa posición. ¿Quizás nos las asignaron deliberadamente por ser chinos o asiáticos? No quiero pensar que esto sea una forma de discriminación encubierta.

Heel fijn hotel! Top locatie. Dicht bij veel leuke ontbijt tentjes en restaurantjes. Ook heel dichtbij bij veel bezienswaardigheden. Top!

One of the Best Serviced Apartments We’ve Stayed At This was easily the best serviced apartment we’ve stayed at recently. All the facilities were brand new, and the cleanliness—especially in the kitchen and bathroom—surpassed even some 4-star hotels. Everything we needed was provided, and the interior design was excellent. The bed was also very comfortable. Great location, great price, great amenities. Here are a few potential downsides that might matter to some guests: • The internet was very slow. The Wi-Fi signal on the second floor was the strongest, so we used that, but it was barely sufficient for even checking emails. It felt as if the connection was intentionally throttled. If you need stable internet for work, tethering through your phone might actually be faster. • No elevator. Our unit was located on the second floor, and we had to carry about 30kg of luggage up the stairs ourselves. Even a small, old-fashioned lift would have been a huge help. • Noise from upstairs. Although the apartment was newly renovated, the flooring is still the original wooden structure, so noise from the upper floor can be heard. We were tired enough to sleep through it with earplugs, but sensitive guests should take this into account. Booking the top-floor unit might solve this issue, though that means climbing even more stairs. • Early check-in confusion. We had requested an early check-in, but it wasn’t communicated properly. As a result, we had to drop off our luggage at the YOUROPO office, which is about a 6–7 minute walk from the apartment. I wonder if we could’ve left our luggage directly at the property if the message had gone through properly—perhaps someone from the team could clarify? Despite these minor issues, I would still give this property a full 5 stars. If we visit Porto again, YOUROPO will be at the top of our list.

The room is very nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's easy to walk to the city center. My husband and I are very satisfied with the Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel.

Es un muy buen hotel. El chico de la recepción fue muy paciente al responder mis preguntas y me prestó varios cables adaptadores de carga. El hotel está en una buena ubicación. Hay tiendas de ropa y bolsos y paradas de autobús a poca distancia de la puerta. Desafortunadamente, tenía prisa y no tuve tiempo de ir de compras.

The least you expect from a five star hotel was a good service and cleanlinless. We stayed here for 5 nights and they did not change our bedsheet even though it was written that they will change it every 3 days, no refill of water, no refill of tissues and coffee and tea we had to request it. There’s a small cockroach in the bathtub. At the front desk they don’t even greet you whenever you passby I am not being entitled that I should be greeted I just compare it to other hotel where they always smile. It’s hard to call the front desk sometimes it will take 5 minutes.  On the positive side the food in the restaurant was really good and the drinks at the bar those who are working there was really nice and attentive too. I’d like to commend also Fabrizio who always smile and who helps us with our luggage when we check in and check out.

En general, muy satisfecho. Las instalaciones de la habitación son completas y limpias. El lavabo es muy original y el baño está separado en zonas húmedas y secas. Desde el vestíbulo del hotel se puede ir caminando directamente a la zona de restaurantes contigua. Hay una parada de autobús justo al lado y la parada de taxis está a cinco minutos a pie. Se tarda al menos media hora a pie hasta el lugar turístico, por lo que se recomienda tomar un taxi.
