«I had such a great stay in Tacheng, thanks to the hotel’s owner! When I planned my Yunnan trip and asked AI to help me (because of the lack of online information in English), and it recommended me to go to Tacheng to see the snub-nosed monkeys, little did I know that nothing could be done there without a car. Fellow travelers, just so you know: there are no bus stations nor taxis in Tacheng. I of course only realized it once I arrived. I felt dumb (no I do not have a car nor a driver), but the hotel’s owner was super kind and gave my friend and I free roundtrip rides, to the hotel and in the early morning to the Snub-nosed Monkey Park (that is closeby). Because the closest restaurant was 42 km away, we were given a generous and delicious dinner. (It was supposed to be 50 rmb but at the end the boss made it free.) I’m vegetarian and the boss accommodated me. The breakfast, that was included in the price, was also generous and delicious. As for the hotel, it was beautiful and comfortable. There’s a really nice living room (we were given free fruits and free beer!) and a really nice patio as well. The room was clean, the pillows were so soft and the shower was surprisingly techno. I slept very well, even though a rooster started to crow in the early morning (so remember to close the window before going to sleep). In the evening, we walked in the surroundings and I liked it so much, it was picturesque and peaceful. My stay in Tacheng could’ve been a nightmare but thanks to the hotel’s owner, I really enjoyed it (and I got to see the famous snub-nosed monkeys!) So I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, where I didn’t expect so much kindness and generosity.»

«Bel hôtel, relativement propre et très bien placé pour aller visiter la réserve de singe de Tacheng. Dommage cependant que l’hôtel ne propose pas de petit déjeuner, ni de service de navette pour aller sur le site. Il faut compter 45 minutes de marches pour aller à l’entrée donc c’est raisonnable. Sinon top, je recommande !»

La más sorprendente es mantener el calor superalojado, el calor + el calor doble configuración, y vivir muy caliente en el invierno frío. «The hotel is situated in a zen and peaceful location. Breakfast was good, dinner wasn't bad but was very pricey for what it's worth. It was very difficult to contact the front desk manager via Trip.com, in the end I had to call the hotel number (using Chinese, not foreigner friendly) to reserve hotel activities. We went on a tofu making session in a local homestay, it was a nice experience but do note the price (400 CNY for 2 person, 1 hour session), very simple process and kids friendly if you are going as a family. The beds were comfortable. We stayed at the Garden view room and there was a lack of privacy, people wandering at the restaurant balcony, or walking outside can see directly into our room, so we had to keep the curtains closed. For 3100 CNY/night I expected more exclusiveness. Staff was polite, kind and sweet, compliments on their service. Lastly the Chinese name listed on Trip.com was VERY confusing, particularly when communicating with drivers and agencies, as we were not sure whether we booked the correct Songtsam hotel. 维西松赞塔城酒店 (Trip.com name) vs. 松赞塔城山居 (松赞 official name), confirm that these two are the same...»
