Palacio Royale Inn Boutique Katy

External entry to property (Room 217) has significant sealing issues, leading to wind, external debris and weather entering room. Road noise is significant, interrupting sleep and preventing rest/enjoyment of the space. Room is well decorated and nicely arranged, but the need of a door seal (bottom and sides) makes the space difficult to enjoy.

We are preparing to make frequent trips to the Katy area and would potentially be getting rooms every other month. This property is NOT boutique. Our room had multiple stains all over the carpet. Some were extremely large. We came in on a Friday and there were no other rooms. The drapes were dirty. In order to get more towels, you need to bring your towels down to the front desk to exchange for new ones. The included breakfast is pulled early. On our checkout day we went down 30 minutes early and it was gone. It is supposed to stay out until 10 during the week. I requested our room to be serviced and that never happened. I called the front desk when we got back to our room on one of the days, and the rude male attendant just told me no - everyone is gone. The night before we checked out I called and requested a late checkout. She said 11:30 was all that she could do. The overnight lady is great and super sweet! We had appointments in the morning and when we got back to the room the housekeeper told me that checkout was at 11. I explained that we had a late checkout. She seemed confused. At 11:28 we actually were standing by the door about to leave and the rude man at the desk knocked very loudly. I opened the door and he said checkout! I said, we had until 11:30 and you're here before that time. Blew my mind. We had to walk back to our building to get new keys made to access the fitness center. Our keys still didn't work. Stay anywhere else! It's not worth it

4 days 3 nights no room service no clean towels on Sunday we called for room service front desk says no service on Sunday breakfast at a sister building very inconvenient won’t be staying at this property in my up coming visits to Houston

The beddings are not clean, room smells bad and the bread first is very limited and I didn’t found any things to eat or drink.

It seemed sketchy. Had I known that this was a motel I wouldn’t have booked it. I’m not a big fan of doors to your room to the outside of a building. It’s very loud when people walk by your room with the roller luggage. Sounds like a freight train. However, now I know.

Everything was good except for the checking in man, the guy was rude while I was checking in.

Surprisingly very nice room for the price!!! Cleanest bathroom I've ever seen. AC could have worked better. But overall, very nice.
