Visiting Hualien as a short family trip. Booked Kindness based on stellar online reviews and wasn’t disappointed. The excellent service started at the check in when Ian generously upgraded our family of 5 from a 2-bed room to a 3-bed room with 2 bathrooms. The room was spacious and we really appreciated the benefit of having 2 available bathrooms. The amenities included are great, the breakfast, dinner service with live music, cookie service and all day drinks & self serve ice cream were as described. The hotel was quite crowded with large number of tour groups during our stay but the staff was very accommodating and we never had to wait for a table. And despite how busy they were, they always set up the 2 high chairs we needed immediately. Another amenity we really appreciated and took advantage of was the free laundry facility.  Overall it was a fantastic stay and if we ever returned to Hualien I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Kindness hotel again.

Received email from hotel staff (Juan) that they could arrange pick-up service for us if we are arriving via Hualien Train Station. They provide free transfer back to Hualien train station as well after check-out. Grateful for the shuttle service otherwise I would need to take a taxi. By going the extra mile, they offered to send my mom and myself to the bus stop nearby for going to xincheng old street. Every staff member is friendly and very helpful. Seaview room is excellent and we enjoyed the sound of the waves from our bed! Room is clean and brightly illuminated. Breakfast variety is good. They have bicycle for hotel guests too! There’s a convenience store (Family Mart) nearby, few restaurants too, but closed on Tuesday mostly. Overall I had a great stay and will definitely return if I come to Hualien again.

El personal de recepción hablaba japonés, lo cual fue muy útil. También había una cocina en la zona común, y algunos huéspedes estaban comiendo o cocinando. El baño de la habitación estaba limpio y era fácil de usar. Hay baños compartidos en el cuarto y quinto piso, así que si el ruido es un problema, pueden usarlos. Por último, al quitar las sábanas y las fundas de almohada y ponerlas en la cesta, encontré un pelo, lo cual fue un poco molesto. Sin embargo, el servicio de recepción fue excelente, ¡y me gustaría volver a alojarme aquí!

A Scenic Stay with a Convenient Catch My stay at Hotelday Hualien was a bit of a mixed bag. It has some genuinely charming touches and a great view, but its location and certain amenities require some adjustment. Location & Transportation: The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the Hualien Train Station, which is fantastic if you're arriving by rail. However, I soon realized that the train station is not the city center. The main downtown area is a significant distance away—about a 40-minute walk. This means you'll either need to plan for long walks or rely on taxis and buses to get to the main dining and night market areas. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to be aware of. The Room: The room itself was a highlight. It was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The best feature was the large window that faced the train station, with a stunning backdrop of the mountains. It was incredibly scenic and made the room feel bright and open. While the room was comfortable, I did notice that the overall design and some of the furniture felt a bit dated. It's clean and functional, but don't expect a super modern aesthetic. Amenities & Service: This is where the experience was a bit uneven. The gym was quite disappointing. It only had a stationary bicycle and a treadmill. There were no weights, no multi-gym, nothing for anyone hoping for even a basic strength workout. It felt more like an afterthought than a proper facility. On the other hand, the service had some truly thoughtful highlights. When we asked for ice, the hotel staff kindly delivered some to our room, which was a nice touch. The Special Touch: The most memorable part of the stay was a small, heartwarming gesture. The hotel provided us with complimentary postcards. The unique part? They offered to mail them for us, but not right away. They will send them exactly one year later. It's a lovely idea—a little time capsule from your trip that arrives as a surprise in the future. Overall: Hotelday Hualien offers spacious, comfortable rooms with beautiful mountain views, and its proximity to the train station is a plus for travelers. The thoughtful service, like the ice delivery and the ”postcard to your future self” program, adds a warm, personal touch. However, the distance from the city center and the very basic gym are drawbacks. It's a solid choice for a comfortable night's sleep near the station, especially if you appreciate sentimental gestures, but be prepared for the travel time to the main attractions.

¡Una experiencia fantástica en The Moment by Lakeshore! A los niños les encantaron las literas con cortinas, percheros y luces 😅 Es un complejo de edificios a orillas del lago; nuestra habitación tenía unas vistas increíbles a las montañas y los jardines. El sistema de registro automático era fácil de usar y nos vino de maravilla, ya que llegamos bastante tarde. El diseño de la habitación es muy moderno, todo funcionaba a la perfección y la presión del agua era buena. La ducha está separada del inodoro, lo que resulta cómodo para grupos de amigos que se alojan juntos. Para nosotros, como familia, no supuso ningún problema. Todo lo del minibar estaba incluido en el precio de la habitación, ¡y probé los tés fríos, que estaban riquísimos! El desayuno se servía en el hotel contiguo, del mismo propietario. Un bufé estupendo, con mucha variedad e incluso opciones para alérgicos. El hotel dispone de aparcamiento cerca y está a unos 10 minutos en coche del centro de visitantes de Taroko. En resumen, recomiendo este hotel para estancias cortas. Si viajan con 3 o 4 niños, reserven la habitación con literas para 6 personas; nosotros la disfrutamos mucho.

Este fue un viaje familiar con mi esposa, mis tres hijos y mi madre. El sótano cuenta con una sala de juegos para niños, ideal para que quemen energía, y algunos aparatos de ejercicio. También hay una cafetería en el vestíbulo de la planta baja donde se pueden preparar galletas y bebidas. Las habitaciones tienen televisores grandes, y el gel de ducha y el champú están elaborados con hierbas de la montaña y tienen un aroma maravilloso. Por este precio, con desayuno incluido, tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio. El hotel está cerca de la estación de tren, lo que lo hace ideal para mochileros. El aparcamiento está justo enfrente, lo cual es muy práctico. Las habitaciones también cuentan con bañeras para relajarse. Al estar ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, los servicios cercanos son excelentes. El personal de recepción fue muy amable y atento.

El personal de servicio es amable, la cama es blanda y dura, la cabeza es media y baja, no es el altísimo que muchos hoteles utilizan habitualmente. Se siente cómodo, la presión de agua en el baño está bien, los artículos de baño están bien, no secos después de lavarse, el estilo de desayuno es diferente, permanecer en 2 días, descubrir que se reemplazará a más de la mitad de los platos, Buen paisaje fuera de la ventana

El personal del mostrador fue muy amable. Sabiendo que veníamos de fuera y estábamos ayudando, nos cambiaron a una habitación mejor en el acto, ya que había una disponible, y nos presentaron las instalaciones del hotel. Está cerca del Mercado Nocturno de Dongdaemun, a poca distancia a pie, y en la cercana calle Zhongzheng hay tiendas de conveniencia, desayunadoras, tiendas de artículos de primera necesidad, farmacias y tiendas de té de burbujas, muy práctico. Conseguir un taxi también es fácil. Muy recomendable para una estancia relajante.

Very positive experience. Place is quite nice if you look for a decent Hostel in Hualien (even though it might look a little bit run down from the outside). Nice roof top terrace for a night cup and 24h free flow coffee/tea is a plus. Communication with the front desk staff varies a lot, depending on the individual English language skills of the staff on duty, but has never been a real issue. Moreover, we‘ve been quite surprised having a German speaking guy there the day we‘ve checked in.

En general todo está bastante bien, pero el equipamiento del baño solo incluye cepillos de dientes, gel de ducha y champú están arreglados, y el resto de artículos de limpieza hay que traerlos tú mismo, no hay gorros de ducha, peines, bastoncillos, jabones... ni televisión. controles remotos. El botón de encendido no puede encender ni apagar el televisor. Debe presionar el botón de encendido/apagado al lado del televisor directamente.
