The Olde Kings Arms

Staff are on point. Atmosphere is warm. Top experience and I would expect nothing less from Well & Co, have been a patron for decades and will always be. Literally a home from home. Cracking work (excuse the Easter pun 😉). Kudos and bravisimo!

Stayed here for two nights with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed it. A great old tavern with wonderful staff and a tasty, freshly cooked full English in the morning with great coffee, dog friendly too. What was lovely is they cooked some sausages especially for our dog and things like that are a really nice touch. The room we stayed in was very nice indeed with a extremely comfy bed that was difficult to get out of in the morning (far too cozy!) The old town is very pretty with great shops and cafes. and a wonderful park to walk around with our dog. Another thing was that AfterLife the TV series was filmed here so I geeked out a little at that fact! Will definitely be coming again.

Very nice, clean and organised, and good heating on the cold nights. Good service for the choice of cooked or cereal breakfasts and pleasant dining room with a range of seating, chair or stool to choose from. Recommended for anybody visiting Hemel Hempstead.

Right in the heart of old Hemel Hampstead. The Olde Kings Arms is a building full of character. Great base for Harry Potter World (£18 in a Bolt taxi). Our room was clean and spacious with everything you need. The breakfast was amazing and the staff really make the place. From check in to breakfast all staff were lovely, the young chap doing breakfast service is a real credit to the hotel. Some reviews have mentioned noise, we could hear the bar (which was to be expected) but wouldn’t say this was overly loud. All in all would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The prettiest hotel i've ever seen. Like in films. Nice breakfast and amazing beers. Nice old neighbourhood in the old town in Hemel Hempstead. Near to everything. Clean and good looking rooms. I recommend.

Family of 10 came for Xmas dinner,what can I say, it was amazing from start to finish.Very well organised,staff friendly,attentive & efficient.We felt very relaxed & welcomed. The food was superb,plentiful & of a very high standard which was presented well.Everything we could have wanted & more.Thank you to the whole of the team who made our Xmas so enjoyable.We will be back in the new year.I highly recommend anyone thinking of booking to do so you will not be disappointed.

Paid parking was very close by, but free from 6pm, & only 50p/hour, so no biggie. Room was a little tired, but had aircon so a plus for summer use. Rooms are directly opposite a nightclub & there are alot of very active bars in this highstreet. There was noise for several hours ~1am - 3am, but yo be fair not the hotels fault & didnt really bother us, we were awake anyway. This is actually a great spot for a night out, we had a great time within 100 yards on either direction, really enjoyed it. Breakfast was good and overall price was very competitive. Dint let the noise put you off, embrace it & nake some of your own.

What can i say! Absolutely beauty place to stay' right on the old town as they call it' like a mini york' the family room is like an apartment. Beds are big amd comfy' Everybody so welcoming as are the surrounding pubs. I hope to be working this way again soon.

What a great place. Charming and helpful service, lovely old building, very comfortable. Good pub food and an excellent breakfast. Pub goes out of its way to be eco friendly.
