Yes hotel (Guangzhou Yongqingfang Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street)

Location is excellent . A lot of famous eateries and shopping right outside the hotel . However The hotel room is not noisy at all . Service is so so . The front desk girl doesn’t know much about the surrounding ie where to eat and not so friendly .

One of the better hotels in Liwan at this price range. It’s new and clean with well appointed rooms. Reception service is great and efficient. Like the location which is on the cleaner and orderly side of Liwan on Baohua Road and you find good food and apparel shops here. Yongqingfang is just behind the hotel using the left entrance door from the main reception lobby. Shangxiajiu is just 5 mins walk away. Heng Bao Shopping mall is nearby too. Changsha MRT is 8 mins walk away. Will definitely choose this hotel again in future.

Good location, many shops and restaurants around, pedestrian street is nearby. Hotel is new, rooms are clean. Stuff is friendly. Manager is very good, I had some issues when check-in, but he very professional solve the problem.

Again we stayed at YES Hotel to attend a concert at the nearby MAO Livehouse. The room was expectedly clean and tidy. We appreciated the two free water bottles on arrival, as well as a small selection of teabags. While obviously there were no room service or anything like that, ordering food delivery was easy and cheap. We will be staying at YES Hotel again in the future!

Located in the heart of Liwan district. Do your research to understand what Liwan district is all about to decide if you want to stay in this area of the city or not. As a first time visitor, I'm happy I stayed in Liwan district as I believe it is an experience all in itself! That being said, I would not go back to Liwan district as it is very chaotic, can get quite noisy during the evening and nighttime and it has...let's say, particular smells coming from every food stall. But, it is a beautifully chaotic district. If that's your cup of tea, this is a good place to stay. It is also like 10' to the nearest metro station which is super convenient - we used Metroman app for everything and didn't have to use any other means of transportaion in Guangzhou. NEGATIVES: We were supposed to be able to check-in at 2pm. We arrived at the hotel at like 5pm so of course our room would be ready. Well, it was not! They told us our room would be ready at 7pm which is outrageous. That's 5 hours after check-in time! what happened? No explanation was given to us. Thankfully we were just backpacking in this city, but if you're travelling for work and need to have a quick shower and get to work/meetings, or if you have any kind of compromise at all, and are counting on being able to check in at your bedroom, then I'd suggest maybe booking another hotel. Worst part was the rudeness of the front desk employee (I dont want to mention who in particular). They were super rude towards us, rolling they're eyes at us the hole time, not wanting to use translation apps to communicate with us. When they told us that our room was not ready they didn't even say sorry for the inconvenience or anything like that, they were like "yeah whatever you will have to wait, sorry not sorry". That was bad. Rest of the stay was average-good.
