Inn on the Square, Ascend Hotel Collection

I booked with ******* for NYE , the bar / restaurant were closed . And to make the experience worse my card was charged for an extra night & 5 days later I have yet to receive my refund. The room had old carpet & ragged bath/ shower accommodations. I tried it but, Yeah, it’s a no for me…

We have stayed here multiple times over the past 5 years. The inn needs the rooms to be refurbished. The inn no longer has free breakfast which was a big plus and was greatly missed. The little things that made it special are now lacking.

It's a beautiful, well-maintained inn. Very clean, nicely appointed, dining option on-site. It was the highest rated hotel in the area and very reasonably priced. I booked on *******.

Everyone was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Will stay again when visiting my granddaughter at school

the staff were an absolute pleasure to talk to and deal with. The room was nice, a bit dated, and could use a little refresh, but nice. There are a few places around in walking distance to eat at. If I am back in Greenwood, I would definitely stay there again.

The "Inn on the Square" has always been a great location in downtown Greenwood. However, the staff can be a little pushy when it comes close to check-out, even when you have clarified with the front desk what time you will be checking out. You also have to call more than once before getting someone to answer the phone at the front desk, whether from inside the establishment or outside. Also, the food is overpriced. As far as the rooms, here are my issues. You can get a room with comfortable mattresses, or you will get a very bad one Some of the rooms need updating as far as the carpet, interior, and appliances are concerned. For example, in room 302, a small box fridge, with a microwave setting on top, sits directly on the floor; which is terrible for someone with back or knee issues. The office chairs need replacing in every room, which I have stayed in asap, they lean too far back and or are unstable when you take a seat. The bathroom with the half shower door is not good; water tends to rain on the floor while showering, and the shower bottom is slippery and unsafe without a safe mat. The bathroom countertop was updated, but the bathroom feels and looks unfinished. I also had to go out and purchase a USB adapter plug-in for the wall. The lamps or radio should be upgraded to have these plug-in options. It can be a great place with a little more care and upgrades, with a vintage vibe. ex: check out the Carnegie in JC, TN

This was an ok experience. I expected more. The elevators need improving. You have to hold the button for it to come. The lights in the room didn’t work, nor did the coffee pot. The showers don’t have doors, which is odd. The bar and bartender was great. The front desk attendee wasn’t very personable.

Loved the Inn on the Square! Very clean and comfortable bed!!

The king suite is not in the main building but off to the side and I loved the decor and cleanliness of the room. Has a front porch like and very peaceful. Only thing I didn’t like I guess room service didn’t want to take time to look for remote control which was left on bed and I received a call asking where was the remote☹️
