Hotel Sarakawa

Not recommendable, lousy service at reception, not friendly at all. They do not listen when you have an issue and have an attitude. Not customer minded at all. Wifi is lousy. What a shame you treat us like if we were an option.

Disappointing first impression and very poor service by some of the employees. What put me off was to be told to wait for over hour just for checking into the room. The staff in charge was more interested in showing off his superiority rather than serve his customers. If it only happened to me, I would have understood it as a one off. However, I heard several; other customers complaining of the same ill treatment. Then the service is the restaurants, was equally poor. Very unenthusiastic waiters. Maybe it's the customer service culture. The hotel is an old jewel but could do with some faceup. Internet is intermittent.  

We were a family of 4 traveling for a family event and arrived on July 20 for a one week stay. We had two bungalows and both had molds. The staff at the front desk were very unprofessional and unfriendly. Only the staff at the two restaurants were courteous and friendly. Will not stay there again.

I had three separate reservations for my family of seven with confirmation numbers from *******. On arrival I was told they don't care about such confirmation numbers and spent almost two hours arguing with them before we were allowed to check-in. The staff were untrained and unprofessional. I would never stay there. We spent only three nights, even though we had paid online for four nights and decided to move to Hotel 2 Fevrier for the remainder of our stay in Lome.

This is a large modern hotel. Rooms were well equipped, comfy bed, large bathroom and good a/c and wifi. The grounds are extensive and patrolled but walking to the beach from the walled compound isn't recommended. There is an Olympic sized swimming pool and sun loungers around the grounds. Food was fine.

used as base for local work

It’s 3 km from the city centre near the beach, not far from the museum of African art. The building is ugly concrete but the space is large with a nice garden and an exceptional Olympic-size swimming pool. I was upgraded to a suite, a very large and beautiful room with a living area and a rather shabby terrace (needs repainting) but facing garden and ocean. The bathroom is small but comfortable, with an old shower. There is complimentary water/tea/coffee and a safe. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast is buffet, with good choice.

This hotel was once luxurious but now I have regretted booking this via ***********. at my arrival they refused to let my guess into my room stating that it was booked for 1 adult only. I have to come down to the main reception to make a complain and show a proof of my booking before they apologised. The room was smelling so badly that I have to spray my own perfume but this did not help. Fortunately the hotel manager was In the same lift when I was stating that I will never return and will write a review and she apologies and offered a better looking a smell room. In the morning they only served breakfast at my partner and refused to give me a simple cup of coffee even though I had no breakfast. They said that I must pay for the coffee. At that point I became so fume that I threw the money and asked them to keep it and left without the cup of coffee. Few minutes later they started phoning the room to speak to me and I declined the call. Later on one of the staff called in to speak to me. After several attempts I accepted and she began to apologies that they made a mistake because they thought that the room was for 1 adult only. They returned the money and offered me to now get the breakfast and I declined. I finally took my money but certainly did not want any of their coffee or even water anymore. I was so so disappointed 😞 and will never ever stay at this hotel again. I will certainly never recommend it to any of my relatives or friends. The romantic time that we were supposed to have together turned into a nightmare. It is very sad so sad I will never forget that horrible experience😡😡.

I would tell it is far better than other hotels I stayed in Togo and benin. The room was spacious and the food Ok. However, the service is so slow! we spent more than 2 hours waiting for our food to come! I finally gave up. I had a safe but it was not connected to the wall!!The service at the information desc is also so slow
