My daughter called the hotel itself before making the reservation to check on the room type she was going to book for me and was given the wrong information.
Upon check-in I tried to pay the additional fee for the room type I wanted and the front desk person refused to do it because my daughter booked the room online.
When we entered the room there were ants everywhere! They were crawling all over the desk and dresser or counter or whatever you want to call it.
I called the front desk and he said he would change my room. Well, that was nice of him! He moved me from the first floor to the second floor. Did I mention that I am disabled and I have to use a scooter as I can only walk around 10 steps?
In the second room all was fine until I woke up around midnight and found ants crawling all over the night stand. The only things I had on there was a bottle of water and my phone. Nothing that would attract ants. I had not put anything on the desk for fear there could be ants there too when I changed rooms, so I didn't get up and look over there.
I didn't see any ants on the bed so I didn't call the front desk right then. I did tell them about it in the morning and I checked out a day earlier than I was supposed to.
I was told they would see if there was anything they could do to adjust my bill because of the ant problem. I'm sure if it happened to me in 2 rooms on 2 separate floors it happened to other people too!
