Eagles Mere Inn

We had stayed before at the old Inn, but this was our first stay at the new Inn. We stay here while cross-country skiing, and have not yet used the Inn in the summer or fall months. Check-in was easy. Room was clean and adequate. Dinner in the Pub was great -- she had the crabcake sliders and he had the Chefs salad with salmon. Both were excellent. Friendly waitstaff and very nice bar for an after-dinner snowshoe grog drink. Breakfast also very good, with friendly service. Two minor complaints about the Raymond room. We tracked rock salt into the room and found it hard to clean-up. A broom in the room might help. The second complaint was that the bathroom heating or plumbing was noisy at night. Woke my wife twice. Needs some fixing.

After an unintentionally long gap we found ourselves back at EMI..and it was worth the wait. Excellent stay! Lovely property, fab welcome & service from Rod, stunning dinner & breakfast. Plus a location that is perfection.

We stayed in the Flora Villa room. Has sliders that go out to garden area with chairs to enjoy the peace and quiet. Room has a king bed. A little on the soft side. Room has a small frig. Nice size bathroom. Had dinner both nights at the Inn and both nights was delicious! Their wings are awesome! Breakfasts were delicious too. Very friendly staff. Made you feel right at home. We stayed once before, well over 10 years ago, and the renovations they’ve done are beautiful! I highly recommend this place. We will be going back, God willing, next year.

On this return visit the Inn had new owners and had updated the room we stay in.The beds are very comfy and the breakfast buffet was wonderful.Everything i had requested was taken care of including the mini fridge.Shout out to Collin for all his help unloading...what a kind courteous young man.Sadly time to return to reality but we will be back!

My partner and I have been staying at the Eagles Mere Inn for over twenty years, through various owners and innkeepers. Over the last few years, the current owners have updated most everything about the inn and it's spectacular! Fresh paint, lovely furnishings and spotlessly clean. The front desk staff is great (Melissa/Rod) and Tammy (server) and Sarah (bartender) are wonderful! They keep the place running. My review is about the breakfast, which is included with an overnight stay. The servers are high school age young women and it seems that they have not been well-trained by the innkeepers. Here are my suggestions on how to improve breakfast. 1 - Have cups AND spoons on each table, along with the knife/fork/napkin/placemat. 2 - Use a small container that is filled with half-and-half, not individually wrapped creamers. This is wasteful and unnecessary and the guest has to keep asking the server to bring more of them to the table. 3 - The server should great each table with a pot of coffee in hand. It's so easy; the cups are already there, just turn it over and pour the coffee. The creamer container should already be on the table. (see #3) Come on people! It's breakfast and guests do not want to wait for coffee and the majority of guests are drinking coffee. 4 - Is the yogurt, Greek or not? I'd like to know. 5 - Get some REAL BREAD! The white/wheat/bagels that is served seems to be straight from Walmart/Sam's Club. Gross. Even a Thomas English Muffin would be better than that flour/sugar mess. Something whole grain and an assor**ent of jams would be great. If any (OR ALL) of these changes could be considered and made, I'd be so happy! The sub par breakfast won't keep me from coming, but it could be SO MUCH BETTER! Please consider, and while you're at it, provide a comment/suggestion card to each guest upon checkout. A lovely stop on our Pennsylvania road trip.. clean, quiet, and restful...service was excellent...Eagles Mere is beautiful. Just a short walk away from the inn, we spent the morning sitting by the lake at the dock and then walking the path around the lake. Very nice.

I just stayed at the inn for the fourth time time this summer. My large extended family has a home in EM, and overflow lodging is needed when we are all in town. Don’t tell my family, but I actually prefer the Inn! Rooms are clean, beds and pillows comfy, complementary breakfast delicious. Dinner and bar on the outside patio outstanding as well! Most of all, the staff is so welcoming and helpful…they complete the entire experience…thank you Eagles Mere Inn!!

While vacationing in a cabin on Lake Mokoma, we made a reservation at this lovely location and ate on the tented patio. Service was wonderful… thank you, Joanne! Food was delightful too. It was expensive and the menu was a little more casual than we expected (a lot of sandwiches!), but the experience was special. I had gazpacho, followed by an arugula salad. My friends had shrimp & grits and a “Cuban Reuben.” Smallish portions, except for the hearty sandwich. I also had a perfectly made Manhattan served up. Quite elegant. The other diners appeared to be Eagles Mere regulars, dressed in preppy finery… khakis and collared shirts with boat shoes… summer-print dresses for the ladies and well-behaved kids and grandchildren.

The Inn has all the charm of an old Inn experience. The staff is phenomenal, especially the general manager. He recommended several sites to see and things to do and we tried and enjoyed as many as time allowed. The breakfast that is included with your room left nothing to be desired. We highly recommend the Inn for a great get away vacation.
