Apartments Dubrovnik Lapad

We were dropped off late at night by driver who spoke very little English and who motioned with his arm the location of the hotel some 25 yards away, i was so glad I'd read the reviews and saw that you need to look for a gate no7 and go up some steps to another door from which you climb around 20 stairs to your apar**ents which are on the top floor. Please also be wary the pavement outside is rickety and uneven, also noticed quite a lot of traffic whizzing around the tight corner near the apt. Anyway onto the accommodation, we had living room with kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom, all well stocked and clean , maybe a little tired and in need of sprucing up, hey maybe I'm being harsh? The toilet was very old though and struggled to flush! No contact with owner, you arrive, key in door, you contact via email if you need anything . The area around for us had only a few restaurants, some in places quite remote which we thought odd? Few supermarkets, go to Tommy if you want better prices, Lapad and Dubrovnik are expensive be warned! A couple would pay £45 to £65 for a meal plus one round of drinks. The old town is lovely and very unique, the locals are fairly friendly, not all though. Bus to old town takes 15 mins or so and is 2 Euro pp, always packed no seats, we went in April so can imagine height of summer it would be a very uncomfortable journey. Summing up we came here in 1984 and 1986 (Yugoslavia) but have never returned until now, would I say it has moved with the times as you'd expect? Well yes it has but nowhere near where it should be. As for the apar**ent it was ok, no more than that.

A decent apar**ent with everything you may need even with a child. All the amenities work, the Aircon is good, the kitchen is clean and well equipped and the bedrooms are more than adequate. The shower has really good water pressure, but the hot water needs a bit of time to build up overnight so don't take long showers or your partner may have to have a cold one. The washing machine works well and because it is so hot outside your clothes will dry quickly on the cloths rack which is provided with the apar**ent. A decent all round experience, I recommend this as a place to stay in Dubrovnik.

We had a lovely 2 week stay in Lapad appar**ents. Perfect location right next to the promenade with loads of bars & restaurants. 200m from sunset beach. Appar**ent perfect for a couple. Air conditioned, free wifi and Romana the owner is only a text message away. Bakery across the road is a bit expensive. But bobis in the local supermarket is much cheaper.

Excellent apar**ent within walking distant of amenities and beautiful coastline. I travelled with my wife and two children (10 and 12) and we had a fabuous time, the apar**ent had everything we needed, and was the perfect location for us to enjoy 10 days in Dubrovnik :)

We had a really nice stay in these apar**ents, everything you need - kitchenette, aircon, wifi, comfy bed and sofa bed, washing machine. As well as gorgeous views over Lapad + close to everything - so easy to get around! The owners are really nice and accommodating - anything we needed they were just a message away and responded really fast! Whilst there were a few little things, leaky shower and some dust, it felt mostly clean + nice to have apar**ent style living vs a hotel stay Really recommend staying here 🙌

Wow, what a fab stay at the Apar**ents Lapad. Dropped off by taxi and climbed the stairs to our room, it is a bit of a climb to the top floor, but you wouldn’t get the fantastic views from the balcony without the climb, so it is well worth it. Entering the living area it has everything you may need, the air conditioning is perfect and worked a treat with the heat outside, though by keeping the shutters down this kept the room nice and cool. The bedroom was a good size with a comfortable bed single beds, and a sofa bed in living room, the bathroom was adequate and the shower was good. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom if you need to wash clothes with a clothes airer on the balcony, along with an hair dryer. You will also find an iron and ironing board just outside room by/in the cupboard. The apar**ent was situated in a great area where there are lots of bars and restaurants, supermarkets and bakeries and it is also not far from the beach / harbour. It is also very close to the bus stop which is just two minutes down the hill where you can buy tickets at the kiosk, but if you already have tickets then I would recommend going to the bus stop about three minutes walk up the hill as you will then beat the crowds who get on at the next stop. Take the number 6 bus to City Walls / Old Town which is very regular or it is about a 40 minute walk if you want to stroll there. Any questions were answers extremely quickly by email, and the owner also gave us a few tips on things to do and what bus to catch etc. There is Wi-Fi in the apar**ent which is fast and also quite a few English channels. My only comment to owner would be is that there could be a mirror in the bedroom, as there was no where for putting on make, etc. The mirror in the bathroom was too high for me, other than that we had no complaints whatsoever and would definitely stay here again. I stayed in the one bedroom (Capacity 4 - Two single beds joined together and a Sofa Bed) with two other friends. The apar**ent was perfect and it had a balcony. The kitchen was also very useful. It was fully stocked with plates, cutlery and glasses. There was also an oven, hob and fridge/Freezer. The air-con was worked and went down to 16C - perfect for Brits who struggle in high 20Cs temperatures in the evenings. It was less than 10 mins walking from Lapad Beach and within 2 mins walking from a supermarket. There were also several bars/pubs within about a 2 minutes walking distance. There’s also a lovely bakery opposite the apar**ent - open from 06:30am. It’s about a 45 minute walk to the Old City. Ubers to the Old City work out around €5/6 €8/9 in the early hours of the morning. Taxis around €15/20. The owner is very friendly and very responsive via WhatsApp. Highly recommend this apar**ent.

Fantastic host, a little gem of an apar**ent with a beautiful view and so close to all the restaurants and the gorgeous beach in Lapad! Aircon was a life saver as it was really hot and also the shutters that come down makes the apar**ent feel safe and secure while you are out. There is a cute little kitchen with all you need, bathroom is good and has a hairdryer which was also super handy! A couple of nice to have’s would be a full length mirror and an extra towel rail :) Everywhere was clean and tidy, would 100% stay here again, Croatia stole my heart!

It was a very nice appartement. It was very clean when we arrived and matched with the fotos online. We missed some essentials like scissors and we also would have wanted more storagespace. But overall, it was a very nice experience.
