I visited the clink I lar hostel with two of my friends in February 2024. Now the staff was really friendly and lovely and the location was great. However, I was in a mixed room (with mostly men) because we were a group of 2 girls and one guy and the room was disgusting. There was absolutely no ventilation, windows didn’t open and there was no air conditioning so the room stank of body odour and sweat! It was very unpleasant… The bed layout was also really strange, two of the bunk bed sets, the ones at the corner of the room were sort of connected which meant that the man sleeping in the bed next to mine could just move his curtain and look into my bed, which he did and made me feel really uncomfortable. Other than that during our stay the kitchen was out of order which was also incredibly inconvenient because Dublin is so expensive. So in conclusion I would not really recommend if you’re a woman/queer person unless you stay in a private room or woman only room.

La habitación es espaciosa y limpia, está en el distrito de negocios y es muy conveniente para viajar. El personal fue muy amable y entusiasta. Dejé algo en la oficina del cliente y el cliente por error lo envió a otro hotel con el mismo nombre. El personal del hotel pacientemente me ayudó a contactarme y me enseñó cómo llegar.

El hotel es un hotel muy acogedor y acogedor, con una buena calidad de servicio. La habitación era un poco pequeña, así que si planeaba pasar mucho tiempo allí podría sentirse cómoda, pero para mis necesidades era perfecta. En el lado menos positivo, la habitación estaba frente a frente, así que era un poco ruido desde el tráfico y los tranvías, pero eso era manejable. También me ocurrió visitar Dublín el fin de semana de un partido de fútbol universitario americano, lo que significa que los precios en toda la ciudad fueron extorsionados, incluso aquí. Es frustrante, pero es fuerzas del mercado en el trabajo y no estaban solos, así que lo aceptaré por lo que es. En general, sería feliz de quedarse de nuevo (pero tomar un mejor fin de semana con un precio más sensato).

Un hotel que sin grandes lujos, hace que te sientas muy cómodo en él. La habitación que nos dieron daba a la la calle O´Conell y pese a ser una calle muy concurrida, no se oían ruidos del exterior. Era amplía con cama grande y una pequeña zona de estar. El baño limpio y cómodo aunque algo pequeño. No hay armario sino una pequeña zona de colgadores. Tampoco minibar, que se echa en falta. Sí que tiene un hervidor y cada día te reponen café soluble y té. No tiene amenities pero te avisan de que puedes pedir lo que necesites. Como punto negativo, notamos bastante frío en la habitación, a pesar de tener el termostato alto. El desayuno no muy variado,aunque suficiente, echando de menos quesos, embutidos y aceite de oliva, aunque todo era de bastante calidad, incluido el café. Los autobuses que van y vienen del aeropuerto paran a unos metros del hotel, así como todos los urbanos y los que van a Belfast y otros destinos. Cerca todo tipo de restaurantes y supermercados. La atención en recepción muy buena, aunque sólo encontramos una persona que nos hablase en español. Sin duda, volveríamos a hospedarnos en este hotel.

Having read all the previous reviews on this hotel, we weren’t quite sure what to expect. We weren’t expecting much more than the reviews has suggested- a noisy night in an old run down hotel. Everyone else had made it sound like a dingy little hotel that was loud and not up to standard. To our pleasant surprise, it was actually a lovely place to stay. The rooms were spotless clean, with comfortable beds, tv, kettle, sitting area and plenty of space. Bathrooms were also spotless, again with plenty of space and a nice shower. The reception staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The manager of the hotel happened to be there on the night (New Years Eve 2022) and informed us that it was the first night in almost 3 years that the hotel had opened its doors again to guests. It became clear at this point that maybe the hotel had done some renovating to refresh the place. It is a lovely hotel, can’t fault the staff, the rooms, or the location. It is based on one of the most popular streets in city centre for young adult night life and is waking distance (5 minutes) to St.Stephen’s Green, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The luas is also right on your doorstep. Unlike other guest reviews, we didn’t suffer from any loud noises or the music from the nightclub below us. They do provide complimentary ear plugs for all guests in the rooms, however, we didn’t need them thankfully. Again, possibly an improvement that was made. The only thing we do recommend, is that they make some modern improvements to the lift, which is a 2 person lift, very small and slow; and that they improve on the breakfast layout, perhaps a buffet style along with the continental breakfast in a more suitable room rather than one of the back function rooms. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay here again.

Lindo hotel. Se ve y se siente nuevo. La ubicación es buena. Céntrico y de fácil acceso para mi propósito. Está efectivamente en la propia ciudad. Incluso hay una zona al aire libre para que la gente disfrute del entorno exterior. Wifi funcionó bien. Hay un bar para aquellos que quieran tomar un par de copas y el desayuno es decente. Sin duda consideraría quedarme nuevamente en el futuro.

Pasamos 3 noches aquí. Las habitaciones no son grandes, pero son adecuadas para una breve estancia. Servicios modernos de baño/douche y buenos. Disfrutamos de la máquina Nespresso para un café de la mañana en la habitación. Alojamiento sin grandes pretensiones, cómodo y limpio. Está bien conectado, hay varias líneas de autobús justo delante de la puerta, en 10 minutos estás en el centro. El hotel no tiene comedor pero hay opciones muy cerca, tanto para desayunar como para cenar. Trato muy agradable del personal de recepción.

Super location, quiet but with the tram on the doorstep to get out and about in Dublin. Apartment absolutely fantastic with Smeg appliances, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge with freezer, microwave grill and two ring halogen hob. Large glass window (no opening) we had good view of the river Liffey. King size bed with more than enough bedding - please note the bed is very low, just off the ground so could present difficulties for some people getting in and out. The Apartment block was big but there was very little noise. The blackout cutains were stuck to the wall on each side eliminating any light coming through when closed, a nice touch, assisting with a good night's sleep. The Apartment had a 48inch 360 degree turning Samsung TV with an acceptable number of channels. The bathroom was of a good size with a super walk in shower. Soap etc was provided. Our visit was for one week and the Apartment was cleaned and towels/bedding changed on the fourth day. Limited tea and coffee was present upon arrival but the friendly receptionist did stress that if we needed anything then please ask which we did and more tea etc was provided. There was enough storage space for our clothes for the week. In the wardrobe was a safety deposit box, free of charge, plenty big enough for any valuables, passports etc. A big bonus was that we arrived at 1230hrs expecting to leave our cases there but fortunately were able to be booked in and have access to our room immediately.
