We have just enjoyed three wonderful nights staying at this beautiful hotel The Albert Mosman. A little hidden gem that deserves a big reputation as the best in luxury accommodation. The Albert went above and beyond all expectations from friendly arrival greeting to our stunning room. All amenities were of the highest standard and again pure luxury. Breakfast was served with friendly smiles and the most delicious food. We will definitely return again soon.

An amazing experience from the comfort and cleanliness of the accommodation with the incredible view of Sydney’s greatest landmarks, to the behind the scenes tours. The lions, tigers giraffes, sun bear, binturong and all our favourite Australian animals. It was perfect!

Beware if you have respiratory problems or sensitive to any perfumes or chemicals. The whole place reeks of a powerful deodorant which is in containers on the walls in the corridors. This time we stayed it was if the smell was double and within ten minutes I had a headache. I had to wear a mask in the public areas and get out as quickly as possible into fresh air and keep a towel under the door inside the unit with all the windows open. We have stayed there a number of times and each time the bed linen was not clean (mattress protector stained and dirty) and the deodorant spray was bad. I complained about both each time but nothing was ever done. This is a tired apartment hotel that has had many names over many years. It is very convenient to all areas of the north shore which is a plus for us and it has a reaonably well equipped kitchen which is also a plus for us. Recently it has changed management and the price has gone up. It is not worth $400 per night for a one bedroom run down apartment that is only reasonabley clean. You also pay a high price for parking your car in the building. $35 per night. We only stayed two nights because we had already paid but will not stay there again while they have strong chemicals floating around the air. The staff are pleasant and friendly but although with both the previous and now current owners I mention the smell their only answer is either it covers up food smells or ”the boys like the smell”. We will not stay there again which is a shame as we would withhout the chemicals.

Un pequeño hotel privado en una zona blanca, hora de salida a las 10 en punto, un poco lamentable. Se tarda unos minutos en llegar al muelle. Solo puede tomar un ferry si no tiene automóvil. Funciona cada hora por la noche. Enfrente está City, conveniente. No hay restaurantes cercanos. Algunos detalles de la habitación no son higiénicos, lo cual es una falla. Todo lo demás está bien. El propietario debe ser occidental, el registro básicamente requiere contacto de información en inglés, recolección de llaves de autoservicio y no hay recepcionista. Ésta es una característica australiana.

Estábamos en el Parque Nacional del Puerto de Sydney y fuimos al hotel. El personal de recepción estaba muy entusiasmado cuando nos registramos. Nos dijimos cómo ir a los restaurantes y supermercados cercanos, pero salieron del trabajo a las 7 pm y lo usaron después de salir. La llave abre la puerta. Las cerraduras de las puertas, los interruptores y los estilos de ventanas de la habitación son muy retro, el baño público está muy limpio y no huele, y también se puede bañar por dentro. Aunque hay muchos otros huéspedes en el edificio, la habitación está insonorizada. Los hoteles extranjeros generalmente no cobran depósito. Como teníamos que tomar el avión el segundo día, nos levantamos a las 4 de la mañana y pusimos la llave en la ventana del personal cuando salimos de la tienda.

La habitación está bien, estamos en el hotel a las 8 de la noche. Pero no había nadie en la recepción, solo quedaba el sobre, y había una introducción a nuestras llaves y una habitación. Tuve que presionar la llamada, la voz de un anciano, no puedo decir las palabras, intercambiaron durante mucho tiempo y finalmente se registraron con éxito. Wi-Fi no es gratis, es horrible. Afortunadamente, tengo mi propio Wi-Fi portátil. Todavía hay tiempo para tomar un taxi para ver el espectáculo de luces del teatro de la ópera. Tome un taxi hasta el teatro de la ópera y parecerá una docena de dólares australianos.

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst in Sydney. We stayed in room 2, and whilst it was a smallish room, it was compact and nicely decorated and everything felt clean. In our room we had a TV, a modern bathroom with a rain shower, and space to hang a few things. We had an aircon unit that we didn’t use as the weather was very cool. The linen was clean and fresh, but the bed was a tad small and not the most comfortable. We liked the communal kitchen area and it was nice to help ourselves to tea / coffee, cereals and bread and preserves. In this area, there was also a communal fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. The rooms were made up daily, and there is the option to change out your towels. The location is convenient for the North Sydney train stop, and there are lots of frequent bus routes near to the hotel, so the hotel is in a great location. Given that this hotel has a popular pub area below, the sound proofing below was excellent but we did hear our neighbours in the adjacent room which did disturb our sleep temporarily. The food in the hotel is excellent and we had the best fish and chips here. This hotel is fantastic value for money and a great place for a short stay in Sydney.

The presentation is good but service not so good. The room was clean and modern but the hot water took for ever to come through. The restaurant struggled with food ordering. We had entrees come out with mains. Staff were friendly but not interested in their jobs. The room television was unwatchable and my husband was moved to another room after complaining. The parking is very tight for large cars and were lucky to be able to get out.
