"This was a huge disappointment. We booked 3 nights but didn't stay at all...The bathroom was moldy. No drain cover in the shower. My wife said she got a shock when she touched the shower tap with wet hands. There are boats screaming past 5 meters from the building every minute. I explained that my wife did not want to stay more than 1 night to the owner and my wife explained to the receptionist. The owner called his receptionist on a mobile phone losing his mind. Maybe not realising he is on speaker. He made a comment that people who don't speak Spanish should not come to Panama. I live in Costa Rica and my wife is Spanish speaking so she clearly understood the owners derogatory remarks. At this point we no longer wanted to stay even the one night. I cancelled on bookings.com at the request of the receptionist and it said no charge but the hotel refused to refund the payment we made for one night. The receptionist told me wife that the owner installed cameras in the rooms? The staff were nice but seemed to fear the owner. Who knows but glad to escape. Let's see what bookings.com does about it. After this experience I read some of the owners replies to negative reviews. It's the exact same negative attitude we received. This owner is not interested in what his guests have to say. The only revenue this place can generate is from tourists so treat people with respect"

"Our stay at Bocas Beachfront Lodge exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff, who genuinely went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is absolutely beautiful. Waking up to the ocean every morning and being just steps from the beach made for a relaxing and unforgettable experience. The property has a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere that perfectly captures the charm of Bocas del Toro. Our room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the islands. If you're interested in surfing, this is an excellent place to stay. The lodge is conveniently located near some of the area's best surf breaks, making it easy to get out on the water while still enjoying a comfortable and relaxing home base. What truly made this place special, though, was the hospitality. The owners and staff created an atmosphere that felt warm, personal, and welcoming, making us feel more like guests in a home than visitors at a hotel. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Bocas Beachfront Lodge to anyone visiting Bocas del Toro. It was the perfect combination of beautiful scenery, outstanding hospitality and a relaxing island experience."

"Casa Acuario se encuentra en Isla Carenero, a un minuto en taxi acuático por $1.00. Los propietarios, Mandy y JP, han hecho un gran trabajo en esta hermosa y romántica propiedad con vista al mar Caribe. ¡Puedes saltar desde tu terraza al océano y disfrutar de un excelente snorkeling debajo y alrededor del hotel sobre el agua! Las habitaciones son amplias y están bellamente decoradas con mucha madera, camas y ropa de cama de calidad, muebles preciosos, TV, buen wifi, agua potable fresca y jabones y champús excelentes. Cada habitación tiene su propia terraza/balcón con mesa, sillas y una hamaca donde puedes relajarte y ver pasar los barcos. También hay balsas, tablas de surf y juegos para disfrutar como huéspedes. Casa Acuario ofrece un delicioso desayuno por la mañana, además de bocadillos, jugos, cervezas e incluso una pequeña área de regalos, todo a través del sistema de honor. Un agradecimiento especial a Gabriel, quien fue encantador y atento. Sus dulces y apacibles perritos en la propiedad hacen que el lugar se sienta más como un hogar. Hay varios restaurantes a poca distancia a pie, como Bibi's en la playa, Leaf Eaters, un pequeño puesto de tacos y quesadillas mexicanas, y más. A poca distancia se encuentra la Escuela de Buceo Panamá en Bocas del Toro, donde se pueden realizar excursiones de buceo. Hemos estado en Casa Acuario varias veces y sin duda la recomendamos a quienes busquen una experiencia especial e inolvidable."
