Beautiful, quiet & spotlessly clean hotel. The hotel is recently refurbished and is very modern inside, it is located on a steep hill so we had to get a second transfer after our coach to navigate the tight road, which was all sorted by jet2. It is about 2 hours from split airport. Due to it’s location there are a lot of steps but I think it’s the same for Croatia as a whole, it is a hilly place. The hotel is located a stones throw away from the beach. It hosts its own pool which is generally quiet. We managed to get sunbeds most mornings or afternoons, we did have to wait an hour as some were reserved without people returning (even though the hotel say this isn’t allowed) but definitely not a 6am job to put towels out like in some hotels. Breakfast at the hotel is a set menu, while the service is quite slow especially if you have an excursion time, it’s not the end of the world. The food is ok, it definitely serves its purpose. I’d recommend ordering a few plates from the menu as the servings are quite small and ordering them all once at the beginning to save waiting around. The only problem was there was no English tea, so brits bring your own pg tips if you don’t like coffee! Drinks at the hotel were a little bit expensive but Brela town is about a 5/10 minute walk away so supermarkets aren’t far away. The centre hosts about 6/7 restaurants and a couple of bars. Brela itself is relatively busy but not rowdy at all. Once at the beach it’s flat and you can walk all the way up the coast either way it’s about 10/15km in total. However, there isn’t much past Brela apart from villas and beaches. We visited the restaurant Náutica, the mixed grill and lamb chops were the unreal. Definitely recommend checking them out. The ice cream parlour just outside was equally as amazing and we had one every night, toffee was a personal fave. I’d recommend going on a few excursions, we booked these through the reps at the beach, we did the 2 island (hvar & Bol) boat trip it was €50 and extremely good value for money, lasting all day and being fed twice on the trip. Some wine and shots were included and it turned into a bit of a party on the way back! We also did the 2 stop speedboat trip one morning which was equally as good, for €30 you got an hour on Brac and then a stop to swim in the sea. While here, we went to split for a night, we took the bus which took a while to arrive so I would recommend pre booking tickets online or going to the bus station, split is very busy compared to Brela but worth the journey up to see the sights. Overall, I can’t fault the hotel or the location. It’s a 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Don’t be put off by the lack of reviews.
