An Excellent Hotel with a Caring Host! We are very happy with our choice! The mattresses are high-quality, we slept wonderfully after a long trip to Sri-Lanka. The terrace is simply our favorite spot! Special thanks to the host for handling a non-standard situation: we originally booked 2 nights, but after the first night, our plans changed. We wanted to explore further into the island and then return to the same hotel 10 days later. The host was very accommodating: he seamlessly split our booking into two parts (the first night and the later night), which was extremely convenient and cost-effective for us. Moreover, he gave us excellent advice on the travel route around the island. What can be improved: neighbour's dog was a little bit noisy in the evening. We greatly appreciate the flexibility and hospitality! I definitely recommend this place.

From the start of my booking I realised I had found a good place. The manager/owner was quick to respond to my request for an airport transfer sending me costs and driver details. Before my arrival, it was checked again that I was able to communicate with the driver. I felt I was going to be safe as a single female arriving in SL at night. I was impressed when the driver had to use my WhatsApp photo to find me as my mobile wouldn’t work!! The room was spotless, great bedding, and a good shower. Welcome drink and requested coffee in the early morning were good and given free of charge. I didn’t want the breakfast on offer as I had to return to the airport. The manager was extremely helpful to go out after my arrival to buy me some mosquito spray as I told him I could not find any at the airport. It was not to use in my hotel room, but to take with me on my journey. There is a security gate leading to this venue as well, which again gave me a great sense of security. For a stopover, this was an excellent choice and I am very happy I changed from my original booking.

The rooms are massive, bright, and flawlessly clean. We absolutely loved the super cozy bed, icy-cold A/C, and the convenience of having our own kitchenette. Beyond the beautiful amenities, the staff and management treat you like family—their hospitality is unmatched. It’s conveniently located, highly affordable for the luxury you get, and an overall 10/10 experience. Sorry that I couldnt take photos much.

La habitación está muy bien. La ubicación es buena, justo en la playa y a 20 minutos del aeropuerto. Hay una piscina y muchos restaurantes alrededor. La calle no tiene mucho que hacer, pero si quieres quedarse y relajarse es una buena opción. La entrada fue de 2pm aunque se declaraba como 1pm en línea. Las mujeres en la mesa delantera son excelentes, muy eficientes y amigables, sin embargo los hombres no son. No estaba impresionado. Después de la salida, nadie vino a recoger mis bolsas. La comida es buena desde la carta. El bar manager es increíble. Muy bueno servicio al cliente. La cama está cómoda, junto con las galletas. Buena ducha y wifi. Nice balcón. La habitación tiene un problema de mosquito y no hay ropa ni pantalones en la habitación. Sin embargo, hay algunos problemas. En el pasillo hay música y luces en 24/7. Esto perturba el sueño. Los vecinos son ruidosos (no es culpa del hotel). Y la gente reserva salas de sol en la mañana, aunque no lo use hasta horas después. Esto es un problema. En general, me decepcionó un poco mi estancia.

Отличный отель, если у вас ранний вылет или поздний прилет. До отеля на такси 5 минут (стоимость 1300 рупий). Есть фен, горячая вода, кондиционер. Заселили без проблем в час ночи. Утром уехали на такси в Коломбо (ехать 50 минут)

It suited its purpose to be close to the airport, but otherwise there is not much to do in the area neither in the hotel. I would not stay longer than necessary. The hotels facilities are basic, rooms a bit outdated, though gym is quite good. Pool is nice and breakfast tasty and good variety

Esta era mi tercera estancia en los Goldi Sands, honestamente, la última vez fue hace casi 20 años, pero tuve un gran tiempo atrás, entonces tenía grandes expectativas. En los 20 años que se han producido, el hotel ha tenido una revamp, doble tamaño, doble número de piscinas, ha añadido un ascensor y han eliminado los bungalows frente a la playa. El hotel está muy bien, pero no se puede ir a la calle. Llegamos tarde, porque nuestro vuelo había sido retrasado, todo lo que quería era un par de botellas de cerveza, llegaron, pero casi tuve que pedir. Reservé un taxi al aeropuerto con el escritorio delantero, pero se olvidaron, las cafeterías de la cena estaban en torno a la venta dura en lugar de servir. El desayuno, en cuanto a mi memoria, me sirve como siempre fue maravilloso, el desayuno de hoy es el mismo día cada día y carece de imaginación, está mal presentado, y incluye el peor café de la historia. El hotel tiene un número confuso de tarifas desde todo incluido a habitación, lo que significa que si quieres comprar una bebida, se tarda para siempre como tienen que comprobar su ”Estado” y luego si pagas dinero, tienen que ir al cajero porque no tienen flotación. The pool was under renovation from July 11 to 25, so I understood that the significant discount was likely due to that. The room was clean and generally comfortable, but the position of the air conditioner in the bedroom was not ideal — the cold air blew directly onto the bed, which made it very chilly while sleeping. As for the location, the hotel is not directly on the beach but across a road from it. If you want to feel closer to the beach, staying at a beachfront hotel might be a better choice.
