Hay 2x7 pies de cama (muy cómoda), gran proyector en el salón, y el en el salón onsen era espacioso y limpio!
Habitación limpia y moderna con televisión inteligente
La habitación estaba con vistas a la nieve y la vista del lago estaba, desafortunadamente, bloqueada por la nieve.
La cena y el desayuno fueron de calidad superior (tenemos probado muchos y son por lo general muy medios), cada plato era delicioso y nos encontramos muy llenos y satisfechos.
También había una cerveza gratuita para cada invitado cada noche, una gran selección de tés negros en el salón y sushi inari gratis (que era delicioso IVA!!!)
Definitivamente 100% recomendaría a cualquiera que busque una última parada antes de llegar al aeropuerto

YYi ShieanFrom the moment we arrived at Mizu no Uta, Tsuruga Resort at Lake Shikotsu, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquil luxury. Valet parking greeted us, and we were swiftly escorted to a path lined with zen music, setting the tone for a stay where every detail exudes serenity.
Upon entering the reception, a majestic wooden carving of an owl, a powerful symbol of protection in Ainu culture, watched over us. In a delightful and intimate touch, we were asked to remove our shoes – a gesture that immediately made the resort feel like a sanctuary. Walking barefoot on soft wooden floors in such a refined environment felt like the ultimate indulgence.
Live harp music floated through the air as we were led past a live fireplace, its warm flames inviting guests to roast marshmallows, adding a whimsical, yet homely feel to the elegant surroundings. The staff, attentive yet discreet, escorted us to our room via separate lifts, ensuring our luggage was seamlessly handled.
Entering the room, we were struck by its sheer spaciousness. A half-sized fridge, thoughtfully included, perfectly stored all our chilled treats from the road trip. But the true star was the view: an uninterrupted panorama of lush greenery, stretching out to meet the serene waters of Lake Shikotsu. The combination of the stunning scenery and the luxurious in-room robe made us feel like chaebols, lounging in opulence and shielded from the cool lakeside breeze.
As for the dining, the buffet at Mizu no Uta is nothing short of spectacular. Where many buffets struggle to balance quantity and quality, this resort excels at both. Highlights included a live dessert station and a live pizza-making corner, where thin-crust pizzas, surprisingly better than those from Furano’s famed Cheese Factory, were expertly prepared. The spread also featured an incredible assortment of sashimi – the freshest I encountered during my 1.5-week trip across various hotels. The salmon and mackerel, both raw and uniquely marinated in glass jars, were exceptional.
The hot dishes maintained the same elevated standard. A simple tomato-based clam spaghetti was transformed by the quality of ingredients, while even the sautéed kailan was enhanced with the addition of Parma ham. Local produce, such as the fresh broccoli used in the cream-based dishes, lent an unmistakable brightness to each bite. The combination of Japanese and Western cuisine was balanced beautifully, with every plate delivering a sense of thoughtful craftsmanship.
Of course, no stay at a lakeside resort would be complete without a visit to the onsen bath. While slightly smaller than the one at Lake Akan, the onsen here is far superior in cleanliness and upkeep. Conveniently, the bath is stocked with towels, so there’s no need to carry your own from the room. The experience is further enhanced by a sauna illuminated with soothing blue light, adding a layer of tranquility to the ritual. The open-air onsen is another highlight.
For those who appreciate the purity of nature, the bath even features drinkable Lake Shikotsu water, renowned as one of Japan’s top 100 spring waters. This thoughtful touch, coupled with the stunning views, creates an immersive experience that is equal parts restorative and luxurious.

TtarataraMy Stay at a Hot Spring Hotel in Lake Shikotsu
Marukoma Onsen Ryokan is truly a hidden hot spring hotel that few people know about. It's a rare outdoor hot spring hotel in Hokkaido, directly facing the unfrozen Lake Shikotsu. The scenery is incredibly beautiful!
However the transportation is terrible 😞😞😞. It's close to New Chitose Airport, and is too far away from the city. There are only 3-4 public buses per day and it took hours to get there. 🥹🥹😭😭😭 But if you're driving on a self-drive trip, then forget it.
The hotel occupies a large area by the lake, and there are no restaurants around since its secluded location 🥹🥹. If you don't book meals in advance, you can only buy instant food from the hotel's convenience store. Fortunately, you may have a high chance of encountering deer.
Anyway, the outdoor hot spring is free. In the morning, there are usually no people around, so you can take photos.
Private Hot Springs: There are two private hot - spring pools, one indoor and one semi -enclosed facing the outside. But! You must book it during the daytime. It gets dark early in winter. If you booked it at 7 p.m. then you couldn't see anything.
The breakfast is good.

UUsuario invitadoI booked this hotel as I needed to fly out early from Chitose. Overall I would stay again. I arrived at 12pm but wasn't able to check in until 3pm but my luggage could be stored. The rooms are SMALL but practical, no complaints. The TV has all the local stations - couldn't find any english stations. It is closeby the train station and shopping mall, so easy to go out and grab a bite to eat. I noticed that the airline crew were staying here as well.
As I had skis with me, I couldn't take the free shuttle provided, but the staff were kind enough to book a taxi for me.

EEpianThe hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance of major attractions. Although the room is small, its modern minimalist design is thoughtfully laid out, maximizing space and making movement easy. A nice touch is the provision of two-piece pajamas for guests. The buffet for both dinner and breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, a comfortable and well-designed stay with great dining choices.

SSurasak PremchitIt’s a compact hotel located near the JR station, just a few minutes walk to the hotel. There is a free shuttle service to the airport, but you have to show your intention when checking in. The reception staff is very attentive. The room is fully equipped. I will come back to stay here again when I have a chance.

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel staff is very nice in helping us checking in and gave us 4 tokens for the vending machine (we're a group of 5). Each coin worth 150 JPY. The onsen is clean and safe, separate floor for men and women onsen. For women, there will be a code to enter when entering the onsen on the 14th floor. The room is clean and the AC works well. Great overall experience. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to the airport. 8 people per bus.

曾曾Esta vez me estaba quedando en su edificio anexo. Todo el edificio tiene 5 habitaciones distribuidas en dos plantas. Hay un bar en el primer piso, donde los huéspedes pueden beber libremente. Las aguas termales se encuentran en su edificio principal y hay un automóvil de negocios para que lo recoja. El camarero es muy agradable. Pero se recomienda reservar su cena con anticipación, porque cuando fuimos allí fuera de temporada, no había ningún restaurante en el lago Shikotsu que abriera por la noche, y no había una tienda de conveniencia.
