UUsuario anónimoI am a customer living in 407 on 9th of November in Holiday Inn Express & Suites Calgary NW - University Area, an IHG Hotel.
. I am writing to complain the lady on the front desk. She treated me not respectful. When we checked in, I am asking if we have hot spring, she replied several what? And correct me “hot tub” such as I am lack of knowledge.
Later, I want to use Landry room and change dollars with them. They gave me several two dollars, and the washing machines only accept 1 dollars, which they should have known at first place. So I went back to the front desk to ask for 1 dollars again. And at that time. There is one guy lining in front of another front desk server. And the lady was answering the phone. So I naturally stood in front of her desk and waited for her. And I asked her to change 1 dollars for me since they didn’t know. And then she asked me” don’t u notice there is a line? You should wait after it.” So I was so embarrassed to find out I cut in line.
So if she is really mindful about me cutting in line, Why not telling me to wait after? Or just remind me in a more respectful way assuming I really don’t know there is a line? Either way will have same effect and I would be acknowledged in a not embarrassing way. And again, the washing machine only accept 1 dollar and they did not know, is their job dereliction.
I am very concerned how your service match up with your high level of fees.

UUsuario invitadoI booked the suite for my stay and it looked exactly just like how it was advertised. I was impressed by the cleanliness and the cute tiny quirks of the room. The bed was insanely comfortable and the duvet surprisingly kept us warm. Overall this hotel is fantastic. The servers during breakfast were very kind and attentive. 10/10:)

GGTANKSMy fellow Rotarian and I came for the 2025 Rotary International Conference in Calgary. The stay was pleasant. Service was excellent. Room was cleaned daily which was nice returning to a tidy clean room. Coffee and tea were replenished daily which was great. I will highly recommend to friends and family. The hotel was so close to the airport. Shuttle service was provided to the airport which was convenient. I liked the lobby display ready for the 2015 Calgary Stampede from July 1st 2025 for ten days.

MMichelle BillingtonMe gustaba mi estancia en el Deerfoot Inn & Casino. Mi viaje fue para atrapar con mi hermana y atrapar nuestras vidas. La habitación de la reina deluxe era espaciosa y bienvenida. Encontré una pintura en la hoja superior cuando el capuchón de la tapa cayó. El hotel está muy bien, pero no es muy agradable. El hotel está muy bien situado, pero no es muy agradable. Puedo sugerir que actualicen los muebles como he notado a otros invitados mayores que tienen el mismo problema.

放放羊的小綠人Este restaurante no tiene muchos productos para el desayuno, pero es una buena oferta tener el desayuno incluido a este precio.
Hay una máquina para hacer waffles genial para el desayuno que hace waffles al instante. También hay tostadas básicas, mermelada, huevos escalfados, café y té.
El alojamiento es simplemente un motel normal, pero la ubicación es muy buena y cerca de la Universidad de Calgary.

JJames Y. HuangI recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Calgary-Airport for a quick stopover. As a frequent traveler through Alberta, I find this IHG property generally reliable, but my January visit was a mix of classic hospitality and a few seasonal frustrations.
The Highlights:
Late Night Relaxation: The pool area was buzzing with families and kids throughout the afternoon and early evening. However, I headed down about an hour before closing and it was a total shift in atmosphere. I managed to have a peaceful, quiet session in the hot tub, which was the perfect way to unwind after a long drive.
Comfortable Rooms: As expected from this brand, the bedding was crisp and the room was well-insulated against the Calgary wind.
Convenience: The proximity to the airport and easy access to Deerfoot Trail remains a major selling point for this location.
The Drawbacks:
Elevator Maintenance: It was a bit unfortunate that during my stay, one of the elevators was down for modernization maintenance. This led to some noticeable wait times in the lobby, especially during the morning checkout rush when everyone had luggage.
Winter Parking Issues: This was my biggest hurdle. Given the intense cold during these Calgary nights, I was relieved to see outdoor stalls with plug-ins. However, I discovered the plug-ins were not powered, meaning my vehicle's block heater wasn't working overnight. Starting a cold-soaked engine the next morning was a struggle; I’d really love to see these activated for guests during the winter peak.
Summary:
Despite the elevator delay and the parking power issue, the staff were friendly and the amenities were clean. It’s a solid 4-star experience, though a few ”winter readiness” improvements would make it a 5.

That said, our accommodation was great and each morning the breakfast room had been tidied up of construction and we were greeted with a variety of breakfast choices, which we very much enjoyed.

UUsuario invitadoThis motel is not Econo Lodge in & suites university. Which we stayed also, and was much better than this one (econo lodge motel village).
The room was small and the bathroom smelled unpleasant. The smell came from the shower curtain, which touches the bath tub water. When taking a shower, the water doesn't drain as fast so your feet end up soaking in that water along with the smelly fabric shower curtain. Also, the bath was weirdly higher than the ground so be very careful when getting in. During our stay, there were several bugs that found their way into our room during the night (Mosquitos, flies). The buzzing sound prevented us to sleep so we had to kill the bugs and go back to sleep each time. We also had problems with our room key, we had them replaced several times and you have to slide the card quite a few times before it unlocks. I think it's loose and you need to get the exact right angle, which is annoying when you have your hands full. I recommend the other econolodge situated behind this one. The staffs here are very friendly. For breakfast, they offered coffee, tea but without lids. There's bread and juice served in a solocup (but u can just use the coffee cup). There were muffins. If you have allergies, I suggest you to bring your own food. The price for this motel vs the other econolodge were the same. We try to avoid staying at the same place for our whole trip in case we don't like our room but we ended regretting not booking the other econolodge for our entire trip.
