Evergreen Cottage is a natural stone building completed in early 2013 and adjoins the owners main property. The cottage offers high quality fixtures and fittings throughout which gives it a real 'home from home' feeling. The cottage benefits from underfloor heating which is complimented by a real log burning fire, perfect for those cosy nights having explored all that Somerset has to offer. Upstairs the large bedroom has an ensuite bathroom whilst downstairs the open plan living provides cosy sofas and armchairs to make the most of the open fire. The living area is separated from the kitchen by a breakfast bar, a great area to sit, enjoying a glass of wine as the sun goes down and the evening meal is prepared. An ideal location from which to explore Somerset the cottage is a 5 minute walk from the Bath & West Showground. The historic city of Wells and Bruton are short drive. Beautiful, Boho and cosy stone cottage, in the picturesque and peaceful Somerset village of Pilton, near Glastonbury.AA 4* Gold Award Self Catering Property.The cottage has been lovingly and sympathetically renovated, and fitted with lots of discreet mod-consThe perfect bolt hole for 2, with super comfy king size bed, squashy velvet sofa and wood burning stove, this really is the place to be to enjoy a cosy time away with a loved one (and your dog!). There's a village pub, and Co-op too.The spaceThe cottage is set back from a quiet little road in the village of Pilton. When you come in the front door from the little cottage front garden, you’ll be greeted by a lovely little lounge, with original flagstone flooring and vintage Beni Ourain rug from the Atlas mountains which is super soft under foot. There’s a smart tv, with Sonos Soundbar, Netflix, Amazon Prime and a DVD Player, Fast Fibre WiFi, Sonos speakers and Alexa if you want your tech, and boho-chic colours and styling with a wood burner and a soft sofa and comfy high backed arm chair if you just want to kick back and relax. The lounge is so peaceful, getting the afternoon sun in through the little window, and staying coolin summer with the stone flooring, yet you can stoke it up nice and toasty for those cosy winter evenings infront of the wood burner.The kitchen is through the doorway off the back of the lounge - all recently refurbished. We love to cook, so we’ve provided almost everything you could think of in the kitchen to make your stay easier, and many guests have commented on this in their reviews!. There’s an induction hob, electric fan oven, slim dishwasher and microwave, and a fridge freezer. You’ll also find a nespreso machine and a couple more sonos speakers if you fancy music and coffee (although please bring your own coffee pods!).Through to the bathroom, with Bramley shampoo, shower gel, hand wash and hand cream for a touch of luxury during your stay. There's an electric shower over the bath which heats water on demand to a nice hot temperature. The light above the mirror will come on automatically when it detects movement after dusk, to help you navigate the cottage at night.From the back door in the kitchen, you can access the fully enclosed rear garden. There’s a patio set, a barbecue and lighting for using the outdoor space at night. (Although be sure to keep the lights off when star-gazing ! - the village has no street lights, so there is hardly any light pollution - the Pilton stars are hence amazing !)Upstairs at the cottage is 1 bedroom with a lovely comfy king size bed with Egyptian cotton sheets. The windows both have black out curtains/blinds to block out the morning light. There’s a little desk and an Italian leather office chair to use as a dressing table or light use workspace - and a comfy little armchair if you want to sit by the window upstairs and read. A salon grade hairdryer is supplied so no need to pack your own from home.** PLEASE NOTE** The bedroom has some very low sloped ceilings which run close to the bed on one side, so may not be suitable for very tall folk or those with mobility or balance issues. The stairs up to the bedroom are old and a little crooked so again, may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. The bedroom also has one floor level window with no safety catch (just a normal window latch) so may not be suitable for toddlers and young children. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions, we'll be happy to helpWe currently offer 3 night minimum stays, so we can afford our housekeeper to do the brilliant job she does, and to reduce the impact of potentially lots of shorter stays on our lovely neighbours and the village as a whole.We also allow up to 2 small/medium sized dogs to stay (and the cottage and village are perfect for dog lovers!). We can’t allow any more than this unfortunately as the space is just too compact (and old!) - if you have more (or bigger!) dogs then we’d recommend looking at some of the more spacious places in the village and surrounding areas.Parking is on the road right in front of the cottage - its a quiet lane, not a busy thoroughfare, and we've never had an issue with ourselves or guests parking there. Unfortunately there is no "off road" parking due to the size of our little cottage.Have an electric vehicle ? - Pilton has 2 EV charging points at the Co-op - just 5 minutes walk away from the cottage. There is a 22Kw and a 7Kw lead, and there's no issue leaving your car there overnight to charge (we do this regularly!). Download the "City EV" app for access.
