While Hotel Villa Kastania, Berlin, is generally a good hotel, I can't recommend it, due to the rude behavior of one of the reception clerks. This behavior spoiled the atmosphere and ruined my mood for my short stay (1 night). This guy (young, with a French beard) was not very courteous and serviceable from the moment I got there. After realizing the hotel has no lobby where you can sit and work with a laptop, I asked to do so in the dining hall (my room wasn't ready yet). He approved, but said I should be sitting next to a Coffee table rather than next to a regular one, as ”the hotel is fully booked and people are coming for breakfast”. Since you cannot really work next to a low Coffee table I asked to sit on a regular one, explaining that people never all come to have breakfast at the same time. He did not like it (and expressed it and his tone) but I did, and guess what - the dining room was almost completely empty the entire morning! But the really severe behavior on his part happened a bit later on. I went out to have Coffee outside, telling the nice and polite waiter of the (empty) dining hall that I'm storing my laptop aside but leaving my charger and mouse on the table, since I'll be back to work there shortly. He approved. When I returned, the reception clerk started talking in a really rude, impolite and improper way to me, almost shouting at me, about how I shouldn't leave my things ”In the restaurant”. I explained that I left it because I was going for a short while, but he continued accusing me of acting the wrong way, as if as a first time guest I have an idea of the hotel's code about leaving things here on there. Even when I told him that I informed the waiter about this he did not calm down. He only calmed down from his raging behavior when I snapped back at him, telling him that he has no right speaking to paying customers like that, that he can't expect a client to know his made up arbitrary rules and that even if someone does something wrong - there's a nice and polite way to point that out, especially when your job his to serve him. A paying client should not be treated like a young kid getting reprimanded by a hotel clerk, who clearly doesn't like his job, doesn't know the meaning of service and has no patience for clients. I NEVER ran in to this kind of behaviour in any hotel I stayed in. Only after talking back to him in this fierce way he started to behave more politely towards me, but he never apologized. During check-out, when he asked if everything was OK and I responded: ”Yes, besides your behavior yesterday” he did not apologize. Therefore, I do not recommend staying at Hotel Villa Kastania, Berlin. A place that employs someone like this, who clearly doesn't know how to treat customers - is not a good pick.

Siempre reservo este hotel para mi madre cuando visita Berlín, está cerca de bonitas tiendas y cafés y en una bonita zona. Un momento más tarde me ofreció el terminal POS para pagar por tarjeta, que indicaba una cantidad de 30 euros más que el precio que reservaba la habitación en este sitio. La Sra. Hauweld respondió de forma muy desrespetuosa que le pedí que incluya el desayuno y que la estaba confundiendo de nuevo. Después de esa situación, les pedí gentilmente que hablaran con ella. Ella respondió que no tenía supervisor y que era la única persona que trabajaba en el hotel durante todo el fin de semana. Sin embargo, a pesar de esta mala experiencia con ese personal, me gustaría señalar que los otros gestores de oficinas de frente fueron muy amables y útiles en todo momento.

buen hotel, está bien situado, la habitación es grande

La habitación era muy agradable, pero no era muy agradable. Pagamos el impuesto turístico y tuvimos una habitación clave para nuestra habitación. Pagamos en línea alrededor de 80 Euro por noche y tuvimos una habitación con tres camas en la parte de atrás. La habitación era limpia y sencilla. Un escritorio con TV de pantalla grande, una ducha con un baño y una lavadora. La ducha estaba bien, pero no nos gustaban las cortinas de ducha. También el agua sería caliente durante unos cinco minutos pero no nos molestó. Limpieza diaria con nuevos ropa interior y toallas. La mañana puedes tener desayuno pero tienes que pagar por ello. El hotel está situado en el centro de Berlín, cerca de la Kurfurstenstrasse y la Dam.

Idealmente situado para explorar el centro de la ciudad con una estación de metro a 3 minutos. El personal era muy amable, la limpieza era buena, el único inconveniente era que la habitación era pequeña. En general críticas más que positivas.

El hotel estaba en un lugar cómodo cerca de una parada de autobús. A la izquierda de una carretera grande pero no podía oír el tráfico de mi habitación. El personal era agradable y la habitación era grande, con una gran vista a la ciudad. Recomendaria y volvería.

As a woman unexpectedly alone in Berlin (H missed flight) this was a perfect place to stay. Modern 4* hotel. Lovely staff. Amongst best hotel breakfasts. Perfect location for walking around Berlin in quieter area just south of centre. My only gripe was that my room didn’t have courtyard view as extension blocked view and all I could see was rendered wall.

El Hotel esta en una ubicación inmejorable. Buen trato del personal, habitaciones muy limpias, y buffet de desayuno espectacular. Sin duda alguna recomendable. Si quieres visitar la ciudad este hotel cumple con las expectativas.

El transporte a todas partes es muy conveniente, Alexanderplatz toma U2, U5, Mollstraße toma M5, M8, a poca distancia puede ir a Hackescher Markt, y hay muchos restaurantes cerca. El desayuno buffet del hotel no está mal, en general es más o menos igual, parece que cambian dos platos calientes todos los días, abre de 6:00 a 11:00, de hecho, debería estar bastante vacío antes de las 9:00. El estilo de decoración de la habitación es simple y hermoso, y el diseño es bastante razonable, pero no hay pantuflas, ni cepillo de dientes ni pasta de dientes, debe traer los suyos cuando se registre.
